Chapter 273: Absurd Talent In Energy Control
Chapter 273: 273: Absurd Talent In Energy Control
Simon decided to take a step back and think deeply about this new improvement he wanted to add to his energy control.
’Unlike Instructor Valdin who is teaching us how to draw out our demonic energy only during pulses, my technique ensures that my demonic energy is continuously flowing out of my heart even in between pulses.’
’But what if I’m able to increase the flow of demonic energy out of my heart during each pulse?’
’Instead of maintaining this steady stream, I increase it during each pulse my Demon Heart releases.’
’Would that not mean that I’d be able to draw out more demonic energy with even greater efficiency. Well… the increase in efficiency won’t be massive. Maybe an increase of 3% or 6% max.’
’Anyway, an increase is still an increase.’
Simon exhaled softly, then he closed his eyes, completely ignoring the lecture of Instructor Valdin.
Instructor Valdin was giving tips on how to improve their input control, but Simon didn’t need such tips.
They were things he already knew.
’Let’s see. I’ll try to increase the flow of demonic energy from my Chaos Flame out of my Demon Heart by 1% for now.’
’I’ll have to be careful though. I wouldn’t want to disrupt the current stream and cause some damage to my heart.’
Simon’s brows were furrowed deeply in concentration. The sounds around him were instantly tuned out of his mind, and the only thing he heard was the sound of his heartbeat.
But that was not all.
He could also hear the crackling sound of his Chaos Flame, and this crackling sound was extremely subtle and could be easily ignored, but Simon could hear it because this was his body.
And the crackling sound was moving all across his body.
This was the sound of his demonic energy constantly circulating around his body.
It was not like aether which resembled water moving across a pathway.
No.
Demonic energy from the Chaos Flame was like a flame that burned everything in its path, and the demonic pathways of demons were built to contain this flame.
Simon inhaled, then exhaled softly as he took his time to observe the flow, his heartbeat, and the pulse that was released.
Seven seconds later, Simon decided to increase the flow by 1% the moment his Demon Heart released a pulse.
Crackling
Simon immediately felt the change around his body.
The demonic energy flowing in his pathways increased. The change was minor, but it was a change nevertheless.
However, Simon did not become complacent or happy over what he just did.
He maintained this new flow for nearly a minute till he got used to it.
Then he decided to increase the flow by another percent.
’Let’s try 2%’
This time around, it was easier and faster for him to accomplish because he took his time to grasp and get used to increasing the continuous flow in the first percentage.
’3%’
Just like the second percentage, he found it easy to increase the flow by 3% whenever his heart released a pulse.
However, Simon stopped and did not try to increase it by 4%
’I guess this is my limit for now. Anymore, and I’ll lose control.’
Simon opened his eyes, then he inhaled before exhaling deeply.
Sunless and a few others gave him strange looks, wondering why he was breathing so loudly. But Simon’s attention was not even on them in the slightest.
He was happy with the fact that he was stronger even if it was just a little increase.
Because of what he had just done, the demonic energy that was continuously flowing throughout his body increased his physical capabilities.
His physical attacks would become a little bit more powerful even without coating his body in his demonic energy.
He could run faster without using his demonic energy.
His physical defenses had also increased slightly.
Why would he not be happy?
[What a monster.]
Even Lilith could not help but comment on what he just did, but Simon ignored her and gave no response.
’If I could, I would even thank the instructor because his lecture actually helped me, and that’s surprising honestly.’
’I guess knowledge truly can be gained from anywhere.’
Simon looked at Instructor Valdin with a thoughtful expression behind his mask.
No matter how much he thought about it, Instructor Valdin had made a mistake in allowing him to attend this class.
If his plan was to ensure that his classmates caught up to him in terms of energy control- a feat that was not possible- he should have prevented Simon from attending the class no matter what.
Why would he think that Simon would not benefit from his lecture?
Simon was baffled about this, but what he did not know was that Instructor Valdin would have never expected or conceived the idea that Simon would benefit from the first class.
Instructor Valdin already planned on giving extensive personal teachings to the students that approaches him in the future on energy control, while for Simon, he planned on ignoring him and letting him figure everything out himself.
Since he was so talented, then he should use his talent to improve his energy control.
This was the thought process of Instructor Valdin, but only if he knew just how absurd Simon’s talent in energy control was, he would have never given Simon the opportunity to attend his class.
Contrary to what the instructor planned and expected, the gap between Simon and his classmates had just widened.
Eventually, Simon decided to just let go of his thoughts regarding this question.
Since he couldn’t find an answer, why stress himself?
The class continued, and Instructor Valdin later gave them another object that was meant to help them train their input control.
It was a pulse control stone, and what it could do was simple.
Once a student held the stone, the stone would resonate with the Demon Heart of the student and would pulse at the same time as the Demon Heart.
If the student drew demonic energy in between a pulse, they would notice it because the pulse control stone would show the disturbance.
It was a perfect tool for the Initiates to learn how to improve their input control.
