Chapter 242: I’ll Expose You
Chapter 242: 242: I’ll Expose You
Jorra and Merath could not believe what they just heard.
Did Simon just refuse Merath’s offer to become a true Daemon?
They were extremely shocked and baffled to the core.
Was Simon ignorant of what he just refused?
Was he ignorant of the value of what Merath wanted to do for him?
Was Simon foolish?
These questions and many other questions appeared in the minds of both Merath and Jorra.
“Wait. I have to ask. Are you actually an idiot? Or you’re just ignorant?”
Jorra could not help but ask, and Simon indifferently glanced at him.
“Aren’t you meant to be glad that I’m not going to waste her resources? Why are you barking?”
Jorra’s eyes flashed with fury, and he growled.
“You want to die?”
Simon merely scoffed and did not bother with the child. He shifted his gaze to Merath, and he could see the displeasure in her eyes.
Simon smiled at her. “You’re displeased?”
Merath looked into his sky-blue eyes for a few seconds before she shook her head.
“I think I’ll just call it disappointment. I feel like you don’t know what you’re missing out on.”
Simon’s lips curled up the more behind his mask.
“Maybe. Maybe not. Or maybe I don’t need your help to become a Daemon.”
Jorra and Merath raised their brows in surprise.
“And how would you have that sort of information? Only the abyss has such knowledge.” Jorra said with a tinge of disdain and annoyance in his voice.
’Yeah. That’s definitely false.’
Simon took a subtle glance at Lilith.
“Hey, Lilith. The method you gave me to evolve my one-horned bloodline into a Daemon bloodline, would it affect my Sky Tiger bloodline?”
“I gave you that method knowing that you would want to retain your Sky Tiger bloodline. And well… I’m also curious to see how it would be if you successfully become a hybrid of a Sky Tiger and… whatever Daemon bloodline you awaken.”
Simon raised a brow in curiosity.
“It’s not certain what bloodline I’ll awaken?”
Lilith shook her head. “Of course not. Do you think all demon cats bloodline would evolve to the Sky Tiger bloodline?”
“I don’t know how you did it, but you were very lucky to have evolved your demon bloodline to the Sky Tiger bloodline. I’m still very curious as to how you got the Sky Tiger bloodline.”
Simon instantly understood what Lilith meant.
’There are several wild animals on earth that are related to cats… Lions, cheetahs, leopards, and so on. I could have awakened any other bloodline, but for some reason, I awakened the Sky Tiger bloodline.’
The gears in Simon’s mind spun, then he decided to ask another question.
“I’ll tell you how I evolved my bloodline to the Sky Tiger bloodline later, but I want to ask a question.”
Lilith looked at Simon with a tinge of surprise. She did not expect Simon to ever tell her how he evolved his bloodline.
’I thought he was going to keep it as a secret from me since he doesn’t trust me. Why has he suddenly changed his mind?’
Lilith narrowed her eyes slightly at Simon, then she responded to his words, choosing to keep her thoughts to herself.
“What is your question?”
“The ritual to evolve my one-horned bloodline, is it the best method you have?”
Lilith calmly nodded. “Yes, it is. If you use it, you’ll have a higher chance of evolving your one-horned bloodline into a very good bloodline.”
“And if you can’t perform that ritual, I have other methods for you, but those methods are inferior.”
Simon nodded in understanding, then he finally shifted his attention back to Jorra and Merath.
About five seconds had passed after Jorra asked how he’d be able to obtain the knowledge of evolving a demon bloodline into a Daemon bloodline, and Merath and Jorra were beginning to believe that Simon had a problem.
Why was he taking so long to respond to them?
Why was he always looking to his left?
Both of them had used their unique eyes to try and see if there was anything or anybody hidden beside Simon, but they saw nothing, and they refused to believe that there was something beside Simon that they could not see.
Jorra had the highest level of confidence that Simon had mental problems because his eyes were extremely unique.
“I’m actually very interested in your organization called The Abyss, and-”
Jorra instantly cut him off with a scoff. “A fool like you is not worthy.”
Simon ignored the child and did not take his eyes off Merath.
“Apart from my interest in your organization, I’m also interested in why you guys are in the Shadowgrave Clan. I’m very certain that it’s not only because of Thorgan the two of you came to this dangerous environment.”
Merath and Jorra’s gaze sharpened, and Simon even felt killing intent from Jorra.
“Why don’t you tell me the main reason why both of you are actually here?”
Surprisingly, it was Merath, not Jorra, that instantly refused his request.
“Absolutely not.”
Simon expected this, but he was not deterred.
“Don’t be so quick to not tell me. I might actually be able to help you guys. I’m sure you both know that I’m not weak.”
Jorra instantly scoffed. “You’re not weak? You cannot even defeat one of us even if we are handicapped. How are you not weak?”
Simon glanced at Jorra, then he released a soft sigh while shaking his head.
“I tried to ask nicely, but your response has been disappointing.”
Merath narrowed her eyes.
“You refused to answer our question on if you killed Thorgan or not. Why should we answer yours?”
Simon’s lips curled up slightly behind his mask.
“The difference between both of us is that you don’t have the answer to your question, but I know your secret.”
“I can expose your secret and alert the clan that you guys are Daemons.”
Jorra and Merath’s expression drastically changed, and in the next moment, both of them released their killing intent on Simon in full force.
Boom!
But Simon instantly scoffed.
How could the killing intent of these two children be compared to his?
Who do they think they are?
Simon released a portion of his killing intent, and it instantly overwhelmed their killing intent.
BOOM!
