The Boys: Viltrumite Evolution Panel
Chapter 227 are indeed ants.
After giving birth, Wanda entered her recovery phase, and Jean practically took over all the chores, making Lucas feel completely redundant.
"Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were the child’s father. Whatever, just think of it as working a stubborn kid to the bone! Go on, the baby is thirsty and wants a zero-sugar cola with regular ice!"
Jean glanced sideways at Lucas.
Whether the child actually wanted a zero-sugar cola, she wasn’t entirely sure. The kid was born with ultra-powerful psychic defense abilities, but Lucas definitely had a screw loose!
Asking her love rival to take care of her—unless he had a tumor the size of three inches in his brain, she couldn’t imagine what kind of person could say something like that!
"Hey, you still dare to glare!"
Lucas swept his gaze over and directly injected the memories of that day into Jean’s mind.
Jean decisively slipped away.
Although Jean never gave up her wild ambitions from start to finish, after little Lucas was born, she did quiet down quite a bit. The atmosphere among the three of them lacked its previous stiffness and instead gained a kind of tacit understanding.
Wanda slowly let it go.
Forget it, forget it. Jean’s orientation was already beyond description.
Someone born like this was purely meant to take advantage of everything. She liked both men and women, taking it all in.
And you couldn’t even push her away.
If the Phoenix Force were to go berserk even a little bit, Earth might just split apart.
Might as well just turn a blind eye, and she could even gain an extra pair of eyes and ears to help fend off the wildflowers outside.
Day after day passed.
Lucas also began living a life like Nolan’s.
...
In New York, at the Brooklyn Sanctum.
Stephen Strange was meditating, occasionally opening his eyes to flip through ancient magic grimoires. He was learning some ancient and mystical magic, and if there was anything he didn’t understand, he could go ask Wong first.
If even Wong didn’t understand, he would save it up and send a message later to his senior sister. Wanda would help him decipher it for the sake of their shared sect.
Life was actually going smoothly and without a hitch.
As for the great disaster Mordo worried about—pah! It didn’t exist at all!
With Lucas holding down the fort on Earth, which blind fool would dare to invade? They’d simply be tired of living!
Suddenly!
A dazzling, colorful beam of light pierced through the roof of the Sanctum out of nowhere, smashing a massive deep crater through the stairs and floor!
Dust billowed everywhere, and rubble splattered about.
Stephen Strange and old Wong stepped forward slightly, their palms slightly open as golden magic arrays instantly condensed in their palms, looking vigilantly toward the bottom of the pit.
What the hell, talk about ghost stories!
Could a meteorite actually fall into the Sanctum?
In the center of the deep crater, Dr. Banner was sprawled in the dust in a sorry state, trembling all over, his eyes filled with unprecedented terror.
He raised his head and grabbed Stephen Strange’s robes.
"He... He’s coming... Thanos is coming!"
"Thanos?" Stephen Strange frowned. "Who is Thanos?"
A few minutes later, Banner drank a cup of hot tea in the Sanctum, intermittently recounting the tragic scene of the Asgardian spaceship being attacked and Odin’s surviving family members suffering a catastrophe.
"He has already obtained the Power, Space, Soul, and Reality Stones, and is rushing toward Earth. His goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones!" Dr. Banner’s face was as pale as paper. "We must notify the others immediately!"
Stephen Strange wore a grave expression and turned to look at Wong. "We need Stark."
At Avengers headquarters, currently only Tony was still there; Captain America had left after the Civil War.
A moment later, on the shaded path of New York’s Central Park.
Tony Stark was jogging and walking with Pepper, enjoying a rare moment of leisure time.
The void carved out an arc, and Stephen Strange walked out of thin air with Banner.
"Tony Stark." Stephen Strange cut straight to the point. "We need you; the Universe is facing a devastation-level catastrophe."
Tony looked at Banner walking out and was stunned for a moment. "Bruce? Where have you run off to all these days?"
Before Banner could explain, a roar suddenly came from the street, followed immediately by a riot among the crowd, with screams rising one after another.
Following their line of sight.
The sky suddenly darkened.
A huge ring-shaped Obsidian Star spaceship tore through the clouds, hovering over the center of New York City. The strong airflow sprayed by the spaceship blew away the vehicles and signboards along the street!
Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf, two of the Black Order, stepped on hovering platforms and slowly landed on the street.
Ebony Maw crossed his hands gracefully, his expression cold and arrogant as he looked around at everyone.
"Listen and rejoice."
"You are about to have the honor of dying at the hands of Thanos. The life of this inferior Planet of yours will contribute to the balance of the Universe..."
"Sorry, your octopus face is talking a bit too much today." Tony interrupted him unceremoniously, raising a hand to pat the reconstruction device on his chest.
Clank, clank, clank, clank!
The dark gold armor covered his entire body like liquid, outlining a streamlined armor fuselage and exuding an astonishing luster.
This was an improved armor.
In past crime-fighting, its combat power was almost invincible, allowing Tony alone to support the entire Avengers.
"Banner, transform!" Tony shouted.
Banner was flushed red, the veins on his neck bulging, but unfortunately the Hulk inside him was still just a kid who had been beaten into psychological trauma by a barrage of punches from Thanos, stubbornly refusing to come out and leaving only a burst of green light on Banner’s face.
"No! Hulk not come out!"
"Damn it! Dropping the chain at a critical moment!" Banner awkwardly hid behind a tree.
"You’re making me lose so much face in front of my new friends!"
Tony muttered a word and hurriedly helped Dr. Banner aside.
...
The battle begins!
With a slight movement of Ebony Maw’s telekinesis, hundreds of rocks and stones on the street levitated out of thin air, turning into a sky-full barrage of bullets that blasted toward Tony and Stephen Strange, while the huge-bodied Black Dwarf raised a giant heavy hammer and charged over roaring!
Stephen Strange flicked his palms to throw out golden long whips, joining forces with Wong to entangle Black Dwarf, while Tony relied on the spatial teleportation of his nano-armor and pre-loaded high-energy particle cannons to engage in a bombardment duel with Ebony Maw’s telekinesis in the air!
The timeline had indeed changed.
Originally, it should have been Tony dealing with Black Dwarf, and the two sorcerers facing Ebony Maw.
Now it was completely reversed.
Only two of the Black Order had popped out so far; Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive had already quietly flanked them, and the battle instantly fell into chaos, turning the New York streets into a sea of fire.
Concrete buildings collapsed, and high-voltage power lines thrashed about everywhere, shocking passersby into howling.
If you’re reincarnated, never be an ordinary person in the MCU Universe.
A small battle every three days, a big battle every five days, turning to ash for no reason, and then resurrecting inexplicably.
"Am I late?"
A red phantom drifted through the streets of New York, rescuing quite a few citizens trapped in dangerous situations along the way, then swung on a web to land beside Tony, lifting up a rock wall to help him block Ebony Maw’s attack.
"Kid, you shouldn’t be in this place!" Tony kicked Spider-Man away and sprang back himself.
A mountain-like giant hammer landed on the spot, smashing out a huge crater.
"Mere ants!"
Black Dwarf muttered in a muffled voice.
At the pinnacle of the firmament.
A dark gold beam of light suddenly rose from the ground.
Instantly splitting Black Dwarf in two, followed by a stream of light rushing over to crash into his remains, instantly spraying a sky-full of bloody rain.
"Indeed, mere ants. So weak!"
