The next day can not save you. It has not even arrived, and you are already hiding in it.

"It’s time to go back, System!"

Main World, Central City, Manhattan.

Hillel woke up with Cate and Jordan by his side, still caught in the madness of the night before he left.

He glanced at the system panel in his mind.

[Bloodline Level: Emperor]

[Current Combat Power: Stellar-tier]

[Core Authority: Omega Effect (Absolute Tracking, Molecular Reconstruction, Causality Erasure), Super-speed Healing, Super-speed Healing, Biological Perception]

[Current Ability Points: 728,335 / 2,000,000]

"Tsk, a two-million-point threshold for advancement. When will I ever reach that? Relying solely on squeezing oil out of worlds is still thinking too small."

Hillel didn’t say much. Not that there was nothing to say.

He slowed the flow of time in the Game of Thrones world to one-third of the main world’s. For every three days that passed here, only one day passed in Game of Thrones.

And when he left a world... heh.

Time in that world would pause, and the Game of Thrones world would pause along with it.

...

The next day, at ten in the morning.

Hillel sat in his office early.

Jordan and Cate were lying on the sofa, chattering away while watching SpongeBob SquarePants. Hillel propped his feet up on the desk, drinking Dr Pepper and eating a hamburger.

There was one bad thing about the Game of Thrones world: no fast food, and the mainstream food was both sweet and greasy.

After King Robert Baratheon became king, the fact that he could bloat into a wild boar so quickly was also thanks to that high-calorie diet.

"When I leave this time, I need to put some food in my ring."

Hillel muttered to himself.

Cate glanced over in his direction.

"Leaving? Where are you going!"

"We have another round tonight, oh, and you wouldn’t want Annie and Maeve and them to..."

Hillel raised an eyebrow.

Forget it.

Better not have children in this world just yet.

With role models like Homelander and Soldier Boy running around, he couldn’t bear to imagine how badly those bastards would corrupt a child of his if one were born here.

Who knew, one careless moment and the kid might grow up like Patrick Bateman.

"The Guardian!!"

Ashley suddenly knocked on the door and came in.

"Two minutes ago, Homelander had a... rather unpleasant conversation with me. He didn’t look very emotionally stable, and furthermore, Homelander specifically named you to go over!"

"Since when is it my turn to go see him? I’m not going. If he wants to see me, have his mother come see me."

Hillel wore a lazy expression.

"Uh, sir. These past two days, Homelander has been staying in Brooklyn. It seems he has obtained some of your... dirt."

Ashley said it all at once.

Hillel turned his head to look at her.

"Tell me, Ashley, did you peep into Homelander’s inner thoughts?"

Ashley wore an awkward expression.

"Sir, I didn’t mean to listen in, it’s just that he’s been a bit abnormal these days..."

"I’m not blaming you, Ashley. I’ve always known you have some little quirks, like calling your big adult ’toys’ The Guardian and whatnot. I really don’t mind..."

Hillel gave a flick of his hand.

"Ugh!"

Even Jordan thought that was a bit much.

Ashley’s face grew even more awkward. She suspected The Guardian could also read other people’s minds.

On the top floor of Vought Tower, fierce winds blew wildly.

Homelander stood with his hands behind his back, his cape still fluttering in the wind. He had waited on the rooftop for a full hour without catching sight of Hillel.

"This is going too far!"

"It is simply going too far!!"

"Does he even treat me as a friend at all?"

...

[Homelander — Emotional Fluctuation: Anger, grievance, bitter resentment of being cruelly betrayed, rancour...]

[Gained Ability Points: +64,823]

...

This was getting interesting.

The system panel popped up a prompt, and Homelander’s ability points had risen again.

But what did this betrayal mean?

What on earth had that idiot gone and done recently?

"Hey, Ashley, where is that idiot Homelander making a fortune lately? Has he also started selling flour in Brooklyn?"

Ashley originally wanted to say something.

But seeing the floating figure outside the window, she snapped her mouth shut in a second.

"Speak!"

Hillel urged.

Ashley frantically batted her eyes at Hillel.

"The Guardian, Homelander is outside the window!"

Ashley communicated telepathically.

Hillel didn’t care in the least.

"Since when do I have to take him into consideration?"

Homelander could no longer endure it and smashed straight through the glass in one breath.

What baffled him, however, was this.

It was one thing for Hillel to remain indifferent, but even the three women, Ashley, Jordan, and Cate, didn’t show any overly startled expressions. Cate and Jordan were still discussing what to do in the afternoon.

"Ladies, could you leave for a moment? I have something to say to The Guardian!"

Homelander forcefully suppressed his anger.

Cate looked at The Guardian, but Hillel didn’t nod, continuing to eat his hamburger and drink his cola unconcernedly.

"John, didn’t your mother teach you that you need to knock before entering someone else’s house?"

"Oh, right, you don’t have a mother!"

"Then you should be thankful you have no mother, otherwise I’d make her fly right now!"

Hillel spared a glance at Homelander.

He was now someone with a son himself, so why bother coaxing another giant baby?

John needed to be like a powered-up Patrick Star and mature a bit.

"The Guardian!!"

John’s handsome blonde face was so gloomy at this moment that it was practically dripping water.

"Please call me Regent, child. Do I still need to give you a cash gift for changing what you call me? That hamburger belongs to you now!"

Homelander actually glanced at the hamburger on instinct.

Hillel put the remaining hamburger away into the drawer. He had only been saying it, and John had actually taken it seriously.

"Why on earth should my hamburger be given to you to eat!"

Homelander slowly floated to Hillel’s side, a trace of berserk fury deep within his eyes.

"You’ve been cooperating with Butcher all along, haven’t you?"

Yo-ho!

Had Homelander finally investigated Butcher?

Hillel didn’t make a sound.

Seeing him like this, Homelander assumed that Hillel’s silence was tacit approval of his betrayal.

"Why!"

"Why betray me!"

"I treated you as a brother. In this world, only you can understand my existence, and we are almost equally powerful..."

Hillel directly interrupted him.

"Stop! Stop! Stop! What do you mean we are almost equally powerful?"

"John, ever since you walked in the door until now, I’ve already found three problems!"

Hillel floated up and clenched his hand casually.

The sonic boom produced by that grip caused the entire room to let out a loud roar, and John was even blown flying out the window.

On the contrary, Jordan, Ashley, and Cate remained completely unharmed.

Their place in the food chain had already surpassed Homelander’s.

"What the fuck!"

Homelander’s face was filled with utter disbelief.

Since when had The Guardian become so powerful? Clenching his fist could produce a sonic boom and even blow him flying away.

"Oh, pathetic John!"

"Has that barren brain of yours been fucked by an asshole?"

Homelander’s eyes lit up with red light, yet in Hillel’s eyes the glow was even larger and more dazzling than his.

That was an extremely fierce and ferocious power.

As if being hit by it would erase someone from the very roots of existence.

Homelander’s Heat Vision vanished.

But Hillel’s didn’t. He floated in front of Homelander with his hands behind his back, his eyes flashing with red light fixed entirely on him.

"I am asking you, John. I know you’ve had no mother since you were a child, but answering other people’s questions is a most basic moral literacy!"

"N—No!"

Homelander suddenly felt that he had spoken too loudly.

"Didn’t hear that! Speaking so softly and you still want to be a superhero? Speak up! I can’t hear you!!"

"I said no!!"

Homelander roared.

"Still can’t hear you!!"

"No! My brain has not been fucked by an asshole!!"

Hillel withdrew the Omega Beams.

"John, I originally wanted to communicate with you on equal terms as an ordinary superhero, but I’m sorry, I’m not pretending anymore! I’m laying my cards on the table! I am your daddy!"

Homelander’s face was full of disbelief.

He even tilted his head to look at the window. The glass reflected two figures.

Hillel was speechless.

"I’m not talking about a father in the biological genetic sense. I’m talking about daddy in colloquial speech! This daddy is not that daddy, but a kind of verbal beatdown that exists to put you in your place!"

"So you were scolding me?"

Homelander suddenly reacted.

"Son of a bitch! He really is stupid."

Hillel blurted out.

"Do you understand now? I am scolding you! Who told you to go look for Butcher to investigate further?"

"You’ve ruined all my fun!"

"Pay up!!"

John looked bewildered. Yo, my nigga! I came here to confront you; do you have to be so excessive?
