The Black Necromancer

Chapter 439 Congratulatory Gifts

With a simple thought, Michael granted permission to the Gods at the border of his Divine Kingdom, and without wasting time, they teleported to the edge of the floating island that Michael, Leon and Nedra were located.

The entourage of Gods consisted of Fazir, Asteria, and Dardan, along with a few other Minor Gods that had a good relationship with Michael. All of their eyes were trained on the newly ascended God that stood at the center of the floating island.

“Congratulations, Leon.” Fazir was the first to speak up with a smile on his face. He had left a favorable expression on Leon once, so it was not wrong for him to openly show his support to Leon.

“Well done on your ascension.” Asteria said right after, and Dardan and the others gave their follow-up congratulatory remarks.

“Thank you, everyone.” Leon responded with a polite smile. He had become a God, and that was a reason to turn arrogant and pompous, but he knew that all of this could not have been possible without the assistance of a few outside factors, such as some of the Gods in front of him right now. Surely, for them to already be aware of his ascension and rush right here, then they should know that it was Atrox’s Divine Spark that had assisted him, which also meant that they had helped to defeat Atrox!

As such, it could be said that the least he owed to them was to treat them with respect!π—ˆπ’±xt.π’ΈπŽ

“I take it that Michael has already told you of what you should focus on, now that you have completed this crucial step in your journey to the peak.” Fazir eventually said.

“Not yet. I was getting there before you all arrived.” Michael was the one to speak this time.

“I see. Well, let me give you this.” Fazir nodded before turning back to Leon and extending his hand. A red spatial ring floated over to Leon from his palm.

With a raised eyebrow, Leon accepted the ring and peered into it to view its contents. He was immediately stumped as he beheld a strange lump of silver rocks that he had never come across before.

“That is Argus Silver, a very rare divine material that will come in handy when you are building your Divine Kingdom.” Fazir explained the name and use of the rocks inside the spatial ring and Leon’s eyes widened. At the side, even Michael’s eyes widened. After his ascension a thousand years ago, he had needed to work hard to gather all the materials he needed to craft his Divine Kingdom on his own. He had not gotten any handouts from powerful and established Gods because at that time, they all hated his guts.

Jealousy almost flared up in his heart, but it instantly died down. He was proud of himself and how much he had done for himself and how far he had gotten by his own hard work. None of it was through handouts, and he felt that was an achievement in itself.

As for the handouts that Leon was currently getting, he did not care too much. Everyone had their path.

After a while, the Gods present had finished giving Leon congratulatory presents. They did not actually do all this out of the goodness of their hearts, but because they knew how powerful and influential Leon would turn out to be in the end, if everything went according to plan.

“If that is all, then I believe Leon should be returning to the mortal realm to deal with a few loose ends before he establishes his Divine Kingdom.” Michael eventually said.

“Yes, you are right. We will take our leave now.” Fazir nodded and in the next minute, the Gods all left one by one. Before long, only Michael, Leon and Nedra were left on the floating island once again.

“About returning to the mortal realm,” Michael began. “The temple I built in your territory, you can take it down now. It would be best to build one fore yourself in its place. After all, how can my temple be in the heart of the territory of another God?” He smiled, his blue eyes glinting.

At the same time, a smile spread over Leon’s face. Over time, he gradually knew how important it was for a God to establish a faith and temples in the mortal realm.

“I was planning to.” Leon nodded his head.

They chatted for a bit more before Leon finally decided to return to the mortal realm. This time, he did not need Michael to do it for him.

Bzzt!

The space trembled and parted and Leon stepped into the spatial gate along with Nedra. It was quite different from Michael’s instant teleportation, but this was a basic ability that every God possessed; the ability to open a spatial gate that connected the mortal realm to the celestial realm.

At the same time, a similar spatial gate appeared within the confines of the compound that Leon’s mansion was located within Fort White. A heavy aura spread out as soon as the gate opened, but its effects were quickly muffled by Leon who stepped out of it.

“Hmm…” Leon’s eyes looked intrigued when he stepped through the gate. He could feel a strange, suppressive effect that felt as if his body was being weighed down. It could be likened to walking through a muddy swamp.

“Now I understand why Gods use incarnations with Peak A rank strength instead. This feeling is anything but comfortable.” He said to himself as Nedra stepped out behind him. The gate closed up behind her.

Leon sent out a mental summon to Rakon and before long, he appeared before Leon.

“Rakon, I want you to spread the news that Fort White will be undergoing some major changes in the coming days or weeks. The people should not be too worried by the ground suddenly shaking or anything.” He passed his instructions and a few others to the Royal White Millipede.
