The Black Necromancer

Chapter 331 Urgent Care

“Hurry up!” Lance urged Mica as he tightened his arms around the young dragon’s neck.

“I’m already moving as fast as I can, idiot!” Mica growled a response as he flapped his wings, sending him forward at insane speeds. Already, Lance was finding it difficult to hold on properly.

The reason they were in such a hurry was quite simple. Some time ago, through the special connection that Mica had with Elena, as she was his master, he felt her distress and fear. He immediately connected the dots and figured out that she was under attack.

The young dragon usually hung around the more frontal parts of the battlefield to engage in trying battles that could push his limits, so it would take a while for him to reach her. As soon as he tried to leave, Lance also realized something was wrong and insisted that he tagged along.

The two of them made great time, crossing over half the distance they needed to cross to get to reach Elena in minutes. However, from how dire the situation felt to Mica, they might not be able to make it!

The young dragon felt despair bubble up in his chest as he tried to squeeze out greater speed from his body, but it was nigh impossible.

However, in the next moment, Mica’s sharp and powerful senses picked up a unique signature far in the distance just before a giant bolt of lightning flashed in the sky.

Bang!

There was no explosion, but the powerful clap of thunder resounded through Mica’s ears as he left a joyous grin spread over his draconic features. He recognized who had sent that lightning bolt.

In the sky, multiple figures floated. They were too far to see clearly, but Mica’s strong and sharp eyes could make out their figures a bit. As well as the familiar signature of the figures, he was able to tell that Leon had returned!

“What happened?!” Lance asked as he felt Mica slow down. “Don’t tell me we were too late?”

“No. Everything will be fine now. Leon is back.” Mica replied as he continued to fly forward. He was not as worried as before now that the person that Elena trusted wholeheartedly had made an appearance, but he still kept up a bit of speed so he could get there soon.

In the distance…

Leon looked down into the forest where he and his summons had appeared. As soon as he returned to Fort White, he had been informed of the incursions of the Demons into their side of the battlefield, and how they were going for the flanks. He also heard of how they had begun targeting specific people, and how Elena was one of them.

That instantly lit a spark of rage inside him. Without wasting time, he had arrived in Elena’s general scope of activities and had instantly spotted the area that held the most chaotic and energetic mana signatures.

The clap of thunder that had rang out was not destructive, but something that acted similar to a flash grenade from Earth, stunning the people caught in its radius temporarily. It could be harmful, but Leon had ensured that Kaladin held back and made it only stunning.

Whoosh!

The wind parted as Leon landed with his elite summons around him. The collective pressure that they released instantly pressed all the Demons present to the ground, forcing them to faceplant into the ground.

“…Leon?” Elena’s weak voice left her lips as she face him with her daggers clutched in her hand. Her body was bloodied, and her lips trembled from weakness.

“Elena.” Leon stepped forward and caught her just as she collapsed. He turned around to see Hana leaning against a broken tree, her eyes wide and shocked by what she was seeing. Hana was also badly injured, as she had less means of evading attacks like Elena that could slip into shadows. However, as the Demons had focused more of their efforts on Elena, she was luckily able to remain standing up to this point.

“Thank you for fighting with her. We will get you medical attention right away.” Leon nodded at her as Nero went to her side to help her.

Whoosh!

At that time, Mica finally arrived, his wings flapping and stirring up wind.

“Elena!” Lance jumped off Mica’s back before the dragon even landed. He rushed up to Leon and knelt down beside his friend. “Is she okay?” He turned to Leon upon seeing that the red haired girl had lost consciousness.

“She’ll be fine if you let me have space.” Leon turned to him with a glare. Lance froze and took a step away, but his eyes remained filled with worry. He stumbled to the side as Mica rushed forward, panicked.

“Mama!” The young dragon called out for Elena in a worried tone, his head nudging her weak frame. His eyes blazed with golden light as he activated the hidden power that he had used to reattach Lance’s severed arm before.

A warm glow enveloped Elena’s figure, before drifting over to Hana and wrapping around her too. The warm light seeped into the wounds, healing it from the inside and outside.

Leon watched all this with a stunned look. Although the only clue to his current shock would be his slack jaw.

In moments, the injuries that covered Elena were gone. The only sign of her injuries were the tears and rips in her clothes and leather armor.

“Mama?” Mica stepped back after the light faded and nudged Elena with his nose.

“Let’s get back to Fort White first.” Leon patted the young dragon’s head and turned to Oris. The Dark Wing Eagle King nodded and flapped his wings, and in the next moment, the whole group of them were teleported away from there.

As for the Demons that had been pressed down by Leon’s pressure, they had already been killed by Kaladin and the others.

Whoosh!

In the middle of the courtyard of Leon’s mansion, the space distorted and the group appeared. Leon held Elena in a princess carry and turned to Nero.

“Take her to a clinic to seek medical attention.” He ordered the Obsidian Skeleton. He was referring to Hana. As for Elena, he would personally ensure that his Priests looked over her to make sure that there was nothing wrong with her. While the show that Mica put on was impressive, he did not feel entirely comfortable leaving the situation as it was.

Before long, he was standing beside a large bed with Elena laid in its middle. Three Undead Priests hovered around her as the monitored her body and determined her condition. Mica was laying down to the side of the room. The young dragon had his eyes pinned on the bed with an anxious look on his draconic face.

“So? How is she?” Leon asked after a couple of minutes had passed by.

“She is… great!” The strongest among the Peak B rank Priests turned around with a small smile on his pale face. “Her life signals are stable, and there are no signs of corruption that could be caused from direct exposure to Unholy energy. She will wake up soon enough. Her mind is simply exhausted.” He said.

“I see… That is good.” Leon nodded his head with a smile. He turned around and waved Mica over. The large dragon quickly stood up and rushed to the bed side. Leon had refused him from hovering too close earlier while the Priests were still working.

“Mama.” Mica threw aside his prideful demeanor and turned into a baby as he partially climbed onto the sturdy bed and laid his head against Elena’s side.

Leon shook his head at the childish display from the creature that was supposed to have the worst pride issues among all others. Dragons were naturally prideful creatures that did not like to look weak or bow their heads in front of others, but Mica did not care one bit about that dragon pride as he turned into a baby before Elena, the one he recognized as his mother.

Leon turned around and left the room. He had other things to do at the moment and would see Elena when he had finished them up. One of the first things on his to-do-list was his long awaited Race Advancement!

After killing Onyx, Leon had finally reached the maximum level of his current evolution!
