The Black Necromancer

Chapter 315 The Adventures Of Traitorous Demons (3)

Mica flapped his wings and the wind that was generated turned into golden wind blades that shot forward to meet Dreyfus head on. He was not a one trick pony! While he could breathe fire, that did not mean that he had let his other abilities stale after he was born. He had continued to develop and grow his strength continuously as time passed.

Dreyfus’ sword glowed with light and was set ablaze with blue flames as be powered through the barrage of wind blades.

Clang!

He swung his sword and clashed against Mica’s claws as the dragon blocked his attack. The young dragon retaliated with a wave of Dragon Breath to push the young man away, while giving himself some breathing space.𝗏𝗅xt.πœπ‘Άπ—†

Mica’s body suddenly shrunk down in size, giving him a much more suitable form where he would be able to engage in close combat with Dreyfus, while still being able to retain much of the advantages that he had.

Some Dragons could turn themselves into humans in order to fight smaller foes, but Mica had yet to gain that skill. All he could do at this point was to manipulate his size in order to adapt to the circumstances. It was not perfect, but it was okay for now.

Whoosh!

Mica spun around as he covered his body in brilliant golden flames, creating a mini flame tornado that force Dreyfus back a few meters. The boy gritted his teeth as he held firm against the force that was pushing back against him. His own flames burst out and pushed back against Mica’s but they were stuck in a standstill.

Dreyfus twisted his arm and spun around, creating his own small flame tornado. The blue flames of his tornado crashed against the golden flames of Mica’s tornado. However, that was the worst thing he could do. Engaging in a firefight with a dragon was nothing less than jumping into a river and expecting to come out dry.

Dreyfus found out that his flames were beginning to thin as they were being consumed by Mica’s golden flames! The ever burning flames had found fuel to power them on even more! He quickly moved back as he tried to think of another way to fight against Mica. He also wasn’t a one trick pony!

Meanwhile, as the two C rankers were fighting against themselves, Lance, Barak, and Balak were left against six D rank Demons. The Demons were all Peak D rank, just like the boys. And they were also quite young, like Dreyfus, around their age range.

“You three betrayed the Demons! Bringing back your heads will be enough to turn our families into nobles!” One of the Demons, a rather bleak and generic looking Demon snarled at them.

“Shut up, lowborn!” Lance snapped back as he pulled out a bastard sword from his spatial ring. The weapon was a special one that had come as part of the treasures stored within the ring when it had been given to him after Divinity’s Bout had come to an end.

Lance dashed forward, sword in hand, and his two best friends beside him. They attacked the six Demons that followed Dreyfus without waiting another moment. Instantly, they made their strengths known as they cooperated seamlessly with each other.

The three boys had grown together and had known each other for a long time. Because of that, they were very familiar with their different fighting styles, and found it easy to meld everything into one smooth and fluid whirl of attacks. This was especially for the twin brothers. They had basically done everything together ever since their birth, so their level of synergy was extremely high!

The fighting style of the three boys had evolved since their days as E ranks. They had changed their Classes, and learnt different skills that made their fighting styles turn into entirely different things.

Balak slammed his fists together, creating a show of golden lightning sparks that lit up around his forearms. He eyed the Demon that his brother was fighting before springing forward at the moment where the boy was pushed back by his brother’s attack, and stabbing his fist through the Demon’s back. His arm grabbed onto the fragile heart of the Demon, before transferring an immense amount of energy into the organ and blowing it up!

“Dammit!” He pulled back and dodged the flaming bomb that blew up the body of the now-dead Demon. The Demons were ruthless to their own comrades. They did not care of the fact that they had been on the same side, and showed no respect to their fallen comrade’s body. The body blew up into a bloody mess as the four remaining Demons lashed out at the three boys. Even with their initial numbers advantage, they had been unable to overpower them!

“Damn traitors! Lay your heads down and die!” The strongest Peak D rank Demon on the side of Dreyfus twisted her arm and the flaming whip in her grasp spun around to create a small fire tornado that she sent at the three boys.

Before the boys could pull back, the remaining three Demons carried out an attack that cut off their path of retreat. There was no way for them to evade the coming attack!

“Get behind me!” Lance called out to his friends and pulled out a treasure from his spatial ring. It was a round, blue shield that had the symbol of a blue wave over its front. Barak and Balak quickly huddled behind Lance as the blond boy crushed a mana crystal against the surface of the shield. He was too weak to activate the full potential of the shield, as its power was around Peak C rank, but with the help of a mana crystal, although it was just low grade, the shield would be able to output enough power to fend off the incoming attack.

Whoosh!

Boom!

A dazzling blue glow that cool the entire area behind the trio, and a fiery and scorching red glow clashed against each other, painting the landscape in an array of clashing colors.
