The Black Necromancer

Chapter 167 Shocking Revelation!

As Amelia was enveloped by the blue domain, she felt as if she was a normal human submerged in water. Her movements were dulled and slowed down, as if she was fighting a constant force around her.

‘How powerful!’ She could not help but compliment Gustavo in her mind, but she did not say anything out loud. Instead, her eyes burned with fury, and the white wings on her back flared. The white light around her combated the blue Domain, but the effects of Gustavo’s Domain were incredibly strong, as it was entirely focused on defense, and completely left out any offensive abilities.

With the power she had boiling within her veins, she leaped forward to clash head on with Richard. Her sword clashed against his claws, leading to a violent explosion of white and gold lights!

“Ugh! Just give up and hand over the Necromancer!” She yelled once again before Richard’s claws came swooping down.

While the A rank beings were doing combat, Leon watched from the top of the city’s walls. He casted a few casual spells with the mages that had stayed back on the walls.

“We are outnumbered!” The second in command of the defense forces suddenly exclaimed. He was speaking to Gustavo who was hanging by the gates of the city, casting spells to aid Richard.

The white haired man quickly turned around and his eyes roamed the walls until they landed on Leon.

“You! This is your fault! The least you could do is go all out!” He yelled with a red face.

Leon was taken aback by the sudden exclamation, but he reasoned that Gustavo was right.

“Will I get paid, though?” Leon grinned. He did not need money, but he needed to see if this man had any pride.

“Of course!” Gustavo yelled and dodge a fireball, before retaliating with boulders of earth.

Hearing that, Leon nodded his head and decided to get serious. He would not rush in himself, but he did not need to. His summons were more than enough for that. He was not sure why this army had come looking for him, but he could guess that it had to do with his powers. He had already been informed of how nations contested for the allegiance of Necromancers, and if they could not get it, the Necromancer would be killed.

But with the way Amelia fought, it was easy enough for him to see that she intended to kill him.

‘Ah, the identity I tried to hold up… No need hiding anymore.’ He thought to himself and closed his eyes. Black flames erupted across his body, startling the men and women around him.

“Ah! Dark magic!” Someone yelled, but before he could speak again, his tongue froze and his face showed fear and disbelief.

“U-Undead!” Another person yelled and fell to the ground.

Their yells drew the attention of others, including the A rank fighters. Amelia’s face showed surprise for a moment, before it twisted into a vicious snarl.

“Look at what you are hiding! An Unholy being! A damned Undead! You should die with him!!!” Her screeches reached the skies where wyverns danced amongst flames.

Richard was also shocked by this discovery, while Gustavo was frozen. He recognized Leon very well now. He recognized him as the same B rank Undead that had defeated the fiftieth floor’s boss in Divinity’s Bout!

Leon did not pay any of the people around him too much attention, but instead focused down on the battle below.

“I don’t know why you are suddenly after my head. But I will not stand by and watch you do harm to innocents. Pull back your troops or you shall watch them die.” Leon’s cold voice boomed across the walls and beyond it. His aura built up around him, drawing the attention of those fighting down in the plains surrounding Fort Bender.

“You… YOU DIRTY VERMIN! YOU DARE THREATEN ME?!” Suddenly, Amelia’s aura burst out around her! Her power had increased!

Amelia was a Mid A rank mage, but now, she had surpassed her limits and broken through to High A rank! The increment was so great that it blew away Richard, who had been caught off guard. His silver fur was burnt slightly, but its durability was great enough that only the tips got burnt off before the fires were put out. That was how powerful Amelia was! Even the air around her was burning!

“Dammit!” Richard cursed. He was the only one that had yet to expand his Domain, but this sudden change forced his hand. A bright silver light shone from his fur, and dyed the surrounding area in that same shade of light. The silver overwhelmed the blue of Gustavo’s Domain easily.

“Awooooooo!” A howl tore through the air as the moon suddenly took on a silver color. The real moon was still present, but the silver moon was an illusion that affected only those that were trapped within the Domain. Even still with a Domain that surpassed that of Gustavo’s Domain, a lot of people were easily captured under the silver light.

A spotlight shone on the silver furred Werewolf who had his back hunched. Red eyes glowered at Amelia as Richard decided to put in his all and send Amelia running.

As Richard was getting serious, so was Leon. Like spawns of hell, his summons constantly popped up around him, swarming over the wall and rushing down to fight alongside the defenders of Fort Bender. Instantly, the situation was reversed. Where the attackers were once beating back the defenders, the Defenders were now beating back the attackers.

“GRAHH!!!” Nero roared to the sky as his Title effects were activated. He turned into a massive, red knight that held two large, red great swords. His eyes were already fixed on a Peak B rank fighter on the other side who used two large hammers to batter the defenders and send them flying off with broken bones.

Kaladin rose into the air with his hands raised high. He was staying back with the mages at the wall, and sending long ranged attacks. As for the rest of Leon’s summons, they rushed forward to do battle right in the middle of the battlefield.
