The Birth of Sword God

Chapter 519 - 460: Sword Venerable Reincarnated, Heaven and Earth Sword

Under the influence of Chu Huaixu, the little Daoist naturally agreed to this matter without hesitation.

"After a thousand years, will the most outstanding talents become my disciples and grandchildren?"

The little Daoist thought about it and felt quite pleased.

Chu Huaixu couldn’t help but sigh in his heart.

This is all he could do.

As for whether he would be able to meet Shuangjiang and Xiaoxu under the butterfly effect of time travel, it would all depend on fate.

Thus, one person and one soul in the cave started to study the Heart Sword again.

"One prominent feature of my Heart Sword is that it can cut through all illusions," said Chu Huaixu. "Why don’t you try to activate it and see if it has such an effect."

After saying that, he set up an illusion array in his divine soul form.

At times like this, having many masters had its advantages. Chu Huaixu had apprenticed under so many from the Daoist Sect and learned a diverse array of things.

Although he was a jack of all trades and master of none,

everything learned could prove unexpectedly useful.

However, after some experiments, the little Daoist couldn’t activate the black little sword within him at all.

"Is it because it hasn’t fully awakened yet?" Chu Huaixu was unsure.

The matter ended without conclusion for the time being.

Yet over time, Chu Huaixu felt that there were some changes occurring in the little Daoist.

He felt that something was different, but couldn’t quite put his finger on it.

The Dao Ancestor already had very high comprehension in Sword Dao, and after the birth of the Heart Sword, he progressed rapidly, though for unknown reasons.

Chu Huaixu was fortunate to witness the entire journey of Borrowed Sword in the Inheritance Secret Realm.

To his excitement, everything that happened later was exactly the same as what he had seen inside the secret realm!

"Does this mean that the past hasn’t changed because of my time travel?" He was thrilled.

This meant the future was still the future he was in!

At the same time, he was a bit perplexed.

"But why hasn’t anything changed?"

"Why hasn’t a butterfly effect occurred because of my presence?"

He began to formulate some very bold hypotheses.

Bold to the point where he felt it was almost unbelievable, even finding it creepy because he was the one experiencing it!

...

...

A year passed.

During this year, Chu Huaixu also entered the Dao Ancestor’s Sea of Consciousness several times.

He observed the Heart Sword.

The final conclusion was rather vague.

It felt similar to his own Heart Sword, but also distinctly different.

It seemed similar because their power appeared to originate from the same source.

Different because its person seemed to be lower than his Heart Sword.

Chu Huaixu’s Heart Sword could even contend with the Sword Spirit of the Bronze Sword.

After absorbing the Night Venerable Fruit Position, his Heart Sword also hovered above the Black Jade Lotus Platform.

Or rather, it was elevated above the Fruit Position!

Its strength was closely tied to Chu Huaixu’s cultivation, and he was simply holding it back.

But the Dao Ancestor’s Heart Sword didn’t seem to be quite at that level.

Furthermore, Chu Huaixu always felt the aura of the Dao Ancestor’s Heart Sword was somewhat familiar.

At night, he floated out of the Black Pearl and hovered beside the young Daoist.

"Are you sure you are heading to that secret realm tomorrow?" he asked.

The young Daoist nodded his head.

"However, based on the information we’ve gathered, that Inheritance Secret Realm is extremely perilous; without Ninth Realm Cultivation, survival seems unlikely," Chu Huaixu said with a heavy tone.

Yet the young Daoist’s face was full of calm and ease.

"Senior, it’s okay. I can handle it," he replied.

Chu Huaixu floated around him in circles, several times wanting to speak but stopping.

"Senior, please just say what you mean," the young Daoist said, crying and laughing simultaneously.

"Actually, you’re pretty confident, right?" Chu Huaixu asked, "Or should I say, you are absolutely certain."

The young Daoist didn’t deny this, merely nodding his head.

"That Inheritance Secret Realm, I’m guessing, isn’t what the legends claim, a legacy of a certain Sword Venerable, but probably that of the First Sword Venerable, right?" he continued.

The young Daoist nodded again and even emphatically slapped his thigh: "Senior, your thoughts resonate perfectly with mine, spot on!"

But what greeted him was Chu Huaixu’s retort: "Stop acting!"

"Kid, are you still trying to act in front of me!" Chu Huaixu said with mild frustration.

Though the Dao Ancestor’s realm now exceeded his Dao Divine Soul, he still respected Chu Huaixu.

The smile on the young Daoist’s face gradually faded, and he sighed: "Seems I can’t fool you, Senior."

"Recently, you’ve likely felt that I’ve been treading the path of the First Sword Venerable’s Sword Dao legacy, as if guided by an unseen hand setting everything up, right?" the young Daoist said.

Chu Huaixu nodded.

This is indeed what he’s been thinking recently.

The young Daoist looked up at the night sky, slowly saying, "Actually, with my personality, encountering something like this would make me quite uncomfortable."

Chu Huaixu could relate to this feeling.

He felt like many things in his life were arranged by the Dao Ancestor.

"But fortunately, I have a system," he would always reassure himself.

The system would leap out of the framework set by the Dao Ancestor.

The young Daoist continued, "In fact, this past year, I’ve always had dreams."

"Specifically, after the Heart Sword was born within me."

"Everything in the dreams felt real, as if I had lived someone else’s life."

"In the end, I couldn’t even be sure if that person was ’someone else,’ or if it was indeed me."

Chu Huaixu was momentarily stunned.

Then, the young Daoist suddenly said:

"Senior, I have reason to suspect that I am the reincarnation of the First Sword Venerable!"

Chu Huaixu: "...."

....

....

The next day, the young Daoist’s plan hadn’t changed because of the nighttime conversation.

He still chose to venture into the secret realm alone.

The secret realm was fraught with dangers.

But nothing seemed to pose any threat to him.

It was as if he knew where the safe zones were, as if he knew the "password" to every level’s "lock."

It seemed these dangers were merely set to deter others while everything inside awaited him to claim.

In the depths of the secret realm, there was only a Storage Ring and a Wooden Box.

Inside the ring, there were numerous Heavenly and Earthly Treasures, countless treasures.

The wooden box was filled with Profound Yellow Origin Fragments!

Chu Huaixu was utterly stunned.

But what shocked him more was, the young Daoist quickly took out seven Immortal Herbs from the Storage Ring and began refining them, starting to learn a certain technique.

"Why does this aura and cultivation method seem familiar," Chu Huaixu thought.

"No way! This is the ’Heaven and Earth Sword’!"

The very Heaven and Earth Sword Jiang Zhi had used!

Chu Huaixu had seen the contents of the Jade Scroll.

"Damn, this is outrageous."

"This technique requires leading the Lifebound Sword’s Sword Spirit into the body, achieving true Human and Sword Unity."

"But you don’t even have a Lifebound Sword, dammit!"

However, he was suddenly taken aback.

Because he thought of the suddenly emergent Heart Sword within the Dao Ancestor’s Sea of Consciousness!
