The Birth of Sword God
Chapter 518 - 459: Daoist Ancestor’s Proverbs
Heart Sword?
Chu Huaixu stared at the black little sword within the Dao Ancestor’s Sea of Consciousness, momentarily bewildered.
"How could the Heart Sword be in his Sea of Consciousness!?"
The reason he possessed a Heart Sword was due to the trait of his Spiritual Embryo, which he had drawn from the system: [Spiritual Embryo: Heart Sword].
Including the subsequent Sword Heart Clarity, it was also part of the Spiritual Embryo Divine Techniques.
But what about the Dao Ancestor?
His Spiritual Embryo is famous, known as the Pure Yang Spiritual Embryo, belonging to the category of Super Grade Spiritual Embryos like Han Shuangjiang’s Profound Yin Spiritual Embryo.
"Therefore, how could his Heart Sword be related to him in any way?"
Acting as a grandfather figure recently, Chu Huaixu tried to project an image of an elder with an immortal demeanor, nurturing his conduct better than before, but he couldn’t resist cursing a bit internally.
After calming down, he began to observe the Heart Sword within the Sea of Consciousness carefully.
He was certain it was exactly the same as his Heart Sword!
Except his was alive, and this one was dead.
Chu Huaixu recalled when his Heart Sword first emerged in his Sea of Consciousness; it was in a weak state, barely clinging to life.
As his power grew, this sickly Heart Sword gradually started to improve.
This inevitably led his mind to wander.
Countless bold assumptions floated in his mind, but because they didn’t make logical sense, he dismissed them one by one.
At this moment, the young Daoist remained unconscious.
Chu Huaixu couldn’t help but be a bit distracted.
"Can I still return to a thousand years from now?"
"How are Shuangjiang and Xiaoxu doing now?"
"What has become of the Daoist Sect?"
"Can the current Profound Yellow Realm hold up?"
He would think about these things every now and then.
Besides, he didn’t know whether his time travel to a thousand years ago might trigger a series of chain reactions, causing a butterfly effect on the future?
"The future should change because of my time travel, right?" Chu Huaixu wondered.
About this, he felt quite uncertain and helpless.
Because he understood how terrifying the butterfly effect could be.
Since he had traveled through time, even if he did nothing, his very existence would change the future!
"I can only try my best to save it."
...
....
Time passed, and after a whole day and night, the young Daoist finally awoke.
"Thank you, Senior, for guarding me."
Chu Huaixu’s Divine Soul floated beside him, and although the young Daoist’s realm had surpassed his, Chu Huaixu believed he couldn’t lower his stature, so he simply nodded indifferently, maintaining his demeanor.
After some consideration, he decided to be direct.
After all, he had acted as the young Daoist’s grandfather for many years, saved his life multiple times, and had previously guided him in cultivation, definitively half a master to him.
"Little Daoist, where did the black little sword in your Sea of Consciousness come from?"
"Previously, when I entered your Sea of Consciousness, I hadn’t seen it." Chu Huaixu asked directly.
His tone carried some seriousness, causing the young Daoist to feel a bit confused.
"Black little sword?"
"In my Sea of Consciousness?"
He pointed to himself, then immediately closed his eyes to check his Sea of Consciousness.
And then quickly said:
"There’s nothing!"
"What!?" Now it was Chu Huaixu’s turn to be at a loss.
"Relax your mind, let me take a look!"
He entered the young Daoist’s Sea of Consciousness again and immediately saw the Heart Sword entrenched at the foundation of the Sea.
"Isn’t it right here?" he pointed.
"Senior, you are sure there is a black little sword, but I cannot see it."
"I even used Divine Sense to investigate and couldn’t detect its presence," the young Daoist added.
This left Chu Huaixu even more bewildered.
One must know this is the Dao Ancestor’s Sea of Consciousness.
This is his domain!
The things inside should not escape his detection yet are visible to Chu Huaixu.
This hinted at something strange.
He swirled in the Dao Ancestor’s Sea of Consciousness, circling around the Heart Sword.
Then he went ahead and reached out to try to grasp it.
"You really can’t see this thing?" Chu Huaixu reached out and grasped it.
The next moment, an exceedingly profound power rippled instantly to the surroundings!
The young Daoist’s breath hitched, quickly speaking out:
"Senior, I ... I can see it now!"
...
...
In the cave, both the man and the soul felt puzzled.
"Why could the little Daoist suddenly perceive the Heart Sword when I touched it?"
"Why was he oblivious earlier?"
More remarkably, the seemingly dead Heart Sword just shuddered slightly.
It seemed as if it was on the verge of awakening!
"Senior, what on earth is this?" the young Daoist asked.
"I surely know what it is, but I don’t understand why it would appear within you."
Chu Huaixu floated beside the Dao Ancestor, continuing:
"My Spiritual Embryo is special, named Heart Sword."
"And this should be the trait of my Spiritual Embryo."
"But for some reason, a Heart Sword has also manifested within you."
"It’s similar to mine but appears to be different."
Chu Huaixu fell into contemplation.
The young Daoist looked at him, wanting to speak several times but stopped himself.
"Spare the nonsense!" Chu Huaixu said irritably.
If people from the future knew he treated the Dao Ancestor this way, they might be dumbfounded.
"Senior, I’ve always wanted to ask you where you are from," the young Daoist asked.
"I keep feeling like ... you don’t belong to our era," he cautiously chose his words.
Chu Huaixu’s expression slightly sharpened upon hearing this, but he didn’t bother concealing it anymore, laughing casually.
"You have seen through me."
"If I told you I come from over a thousand years in the future, would you believe me?"
The young Daoist was stunned but quickly nodded.: "I believe you."
Then, the little Daoist’s mind became active.
He began asking what the Profound Yellow Realm would look like in the future.
To his surprise, Chu Huaixu sighed: "Over a thousand years later, there will be an apocalyptic calamity."
He talked incessantly about many things.
He spoke of Kunlun Cave Heaven, Immortal Venerables, and the so-called Fruit Position...
The more the young Daoist listened, the more astounded he became.
"There are indeed such earth-shattering powers, like laws of heaven and earth!"
Towards the end of the conversation, the little Daoist scratched his head apologetically, thick-skinned and asking:
"Senior, could I have been famous throughout history, still renowned as a Great Cultivator a thousand years later?"
"You?" Chu Huaixu circled him, but didn’t deceive and continued:
"You have, and you even founded a sect, your Sect becoming one of the Four Great Sects of the East Continent."
The little Daoist, hearing this, immediately beamed with joy!
"Is it that impressive?"
He began to mutter quietly.
"Found a sect? Excellent, excellent!"
"And the Sect even developed into one of the Four Great Sects."
"Wouldn’t I become the Founder of a Major Sect?"
"Should I think of a name for the Sect early? Hehe, hehehe!"
Seeing his excitement, Chu Huaixu suddenly had a flash of insight.
He had been worrying about changing the future, primarily fearing unforeseen consequences with Xiaoxu and Han Shuangjiang.
Thus, he immediately said mysteriously:
"Little Daoist, among the prodigies over a thousand years later, I am undoubtedly the first of this age."
"But there are two individuals who are only a notch below in comparison with me."
"But unfortunately, they are not disciples within your Sect."
"I can reveal their names to you now."
"After founding your Sect, you can leave Proverbs so that future generations can bring them up the mountain."
"Such prodigies must be taken into our fold!"
"Do you think this is good?"
