The phone’s ring broke the silence and woke Sienna. Still, her eyelids felt heavy, as if something weighed them down. It took her a few moments to open her eyes. She stirred beneath the blanket, her head still aching slightly as she reached toward the nightstand. Her hand searched for her phone until she finally found it.

She answered without hesitation when she saw Zachary’s name on the screen.

“Honey, have you arrived?” she asked, her voice still thick with sleep.

There was a brief silence on the other end before Zachary’s familiar voice came through. “Yes, I just arrived at the hotel. Did I wake you up?”

“Mm-hmm.” Sienna rubbed her eyes as she slowly sat up against the headboard. “After you left, I felt tired and sleepy, and I didn’t even realize I’d drifted off.”

“I’m sorry I tired you out this morning, my love.”

The teasing tone in Zachary’s words immediately made Sienna’s cheeks flush. She knew exactly what he was referring to. Although she didn’t mean to, her mind briefly returned to their intimate time together that morning.

She had indeed felt tired afterward, but it wasn’t because she had disliked having sex with him before he left for two nights. If anything, she had thoroughly enjoyed it, which made his teasing even harder to ignore.

“You know very well why I was tired,” she muttered, trying to keep her voice from sounding too embarrassed.

Zachary chuckled softly on the other end of the phone. “I was only saying.”

Sienna rolled her eyes even though he couldn’t see her. “You’re always teasing me.”

“Don’t miss me too much, my love.”

She chuckled. “I didn’t.”

Zachary laughed from the other end, then said, “I’m only here for two nights, and I’ll be home before you know it.”

A small smile appeared on Sienna’s lips despite her efforts to hide it. Talking to him made her feel more relaxed, and the warmth in his voice eased some of the tiredness that still lingered in her body. She leaned back against the pillows and listened to him for a moment.

Before Sienna could say anything else, Zachary spoke again, his tone becoming gentler. “Alright, get some more sleep. I’ll call you later once my meeting is over.”

“Already busy?”

“Hmm… Because I wanted to settle my work here faster.”

“Okay. Call me when your meeting is over.”

“I will. And take care of yourself for me.”

“I will, Zach…”

“I love you, Sienna. Alright, now go back to sleep.”

Sienna smiled as she lowered herself onto the pillow again. “Okay. Bye.”

“Bye, my love.”

After the call ended, Sienna placed her phone back on the nightstand. She pulled the blanket over herself and closed her eyes once more. Her headache was still faintly there, but she felt calmer now that she knew Zachary had arrived safely.

With the quiet room surrounding her, she allowed herself to relax again, hoping that a little more sleep would help her feel completely better.

…

At Bellfront City, in one of the Imperial Hotel’s presidential suites, Zachary was just about to take off his suit jacket when the doorbell rang.

He turned toward the door with a curious look. He wasn’t expecting anyone to come to his suite, not even his secretary, Trevor. Only a few people knew which room he was staying in, and he had made sure to keep his visit as private as possible.

When Zachary decided to ignore the door, the bell rang again. The second ring was enough to make him walk over and look through the peephole. His brows slowly furrowed when he saw the woman standing on the other side.

Zoey was about to press the doorbell again when Zachary quickly opened the door.

“Why are you here?”

Zachary’s expression clearly showed his annoyance with the interruption.

“My goodness… Why do you ask, brother?” Zoey said cheerfully as she stepped into the suite, completely ignoring his annoyed look. “I’m the CEO of this hotel. Of course I came to make sure you settled in comfortably.”

Zachary was speechless for a moment. This was exactly why he didn’t like staying at his family’s hotel. Whenever he stayed here, one of his siblings would inevitably find out where he was. Unfortunately, he couldn’t avoid it this time because he was here for official business, not a personal visit.

With a quiet sigh, Zachary closed the door behind him and followed his twin sister into the suite.

Zoey walked around the room as though she were inspecting everything, occasionally glancing toward the windows, the sitting area, and the bedroom.

“I don’t have time to talk to you, Zoey. So speak now or leave!” Zachary said, settling onto the single sofa and taking out his cell phone.

He tried to pay attention to his phone and ignore her, but Zoey had no intention of leaving him alone so easily.

“You know, in this international business conference, Big Brother is attending too.”

Zachary briefly looked up at her, his expression saying enough to make it clear he was wondering why she was telling him something he already knew. Without saying anything, he lowered his gaze and returned his attention to his phone.

Seeing Zachary ignore her, Zoey let out a small laugh. “Right, you must know about it. Brother William’s room is next to yours.”

He remained silent, scrolling through the email he had been reading.

“And Riley is attending too,” Zoey continued. “He’s here as the CEO of Sterling Technology.”

Zachary’s finger stopped moving for a moment. He had been reading through the same email, but the mention of Riley was enough to make him pause. Still, he didn’t lift his head or give Zoey the reaction she seemed to be waiting for.

“And his room is also on this floor,” Zoey added casually. A faint smile appeared on her lips as she glanced at him. “So you might run into him.”

Zachary finally lifted his head and looked directly at her. His expression remained calm, but the quietness in his gaze made Zoey’s smile slowly fade.

“Are you done?”
