The Billionaire's Heir I Never Knew Was Mine

Chapter 185: Can You Punish Them For Me?

Chapter 185: Can You Punish Them For Me?

Sienna remembered the stack of documents he had asked her to sign before they registered their marriage.

A small smile tugged at her lips. However, it only lasted a second as she recalled why they were there in the first place.

They had come to talk privately, without Skylar present.

After silently taking a deep sigh, Sienna looked at him in the eyes, "Zach, I’m sorry... I didn’t tell you about my injury."

As she spoke, she carefully studied his expression, searching for signs of anger or disappointment.

She found neither.

Relief slowly spread through her chest.

"...You already know about it, right?" she asked cautiously.

Zachary didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he reached for her hand and held it gently within his own.

"Hmm. Logan and Scott told me about it. But I want to hear what really happened from you."

Sienna let out a slow breath.

The memory of the attack immediately stirred up the anger she had been quietly holding back inside.

"You remember the gangsters who tried to capture me at Evercrest Hospital?" Sienna asked.

Zachary nodded and replied softly, "Yes, I remember."

Sienna’s expression darkened. "They found me again and attacked me."

The frustration in her voice was impossible to hide. She lowered her gaze to their intertwined hands, trying to conceal the fear that still lingered inside her.

"They were gangsters sent by my father. He’s so cruel that he sold me to their leader to pay off his debt." She tried to keep her anger under control, but the slight tremble in her voice betrayed her. "I never expected them to find me again so quickly."

When Zachary gently patted the back of her hand, some of the tension eased from her chest. She looked up and met his eyes before continuing.

"Last night," she said more quietly, "those gangsters ambushed me near the apartment. I fought them, but their leader pulled out a dagger. I couldn’t avoid it when he..."

Her voice trailed off. The memory was too painful, and the words refused to come.

"It’s alright." Zachary gave her hand a reassuring squeeze and smiled gently. "You don’t have to tell me how you fought them. You have done unbelievably well fighting those thugs."

Sienna pressed her lips together and nodded. She didn’t want to relive those moments either.

"Sienna..." Zachary said weakly, his eyes filled with sorrow. "I’m sorry. I promised I would protect you, but I failed."

"That’s not your fault, Zach."

He slowly shook his head.

"I’m angry with myself because you were hurt. Knowing that makes me feel as if half of my soul has been taken away. I was terrified that something worse had happened to you."

Although he spoke in his usual calm voice, Sienna could clearly see the pain hidden in his eyes.

"I’m alright now," she said softly, hoping to reassure him.

But it didn’t work. Zachary still blamed himself.

After a brief silence, she spoke again.

"Zach, can you capture them? Can you punish them for me?"

"What do you want me to do with them?" he asked. His voice carried much more confidence now.

"I want you to make them pay for what they did to me," Sienna said without hesitation. "...And I want their boss punished too."

She knew that only by dealing with Boss Juan would the attacks finally stop.

"Oh, right," she added quickly. "I heard their gang is called Black Scorpion, and their base is in Evercrest."

A faint smile finally appeared on Zachary’s lips.

"I’ll grant your request. I’ll make sure they no longer exist in this land."

His words made Sienna smile even wider. She threw herself into his arms and rested her head against his broad chest.

"Thank you, Zach," she whispered. "I hope you quickly capture the men who attacked me yesterday. I don’t want them anywhere near Orchid Garden."

Instead of answering immediately, Zachary let out a quiet chuckle.

Sienna pulled back slightly and looked up at him with a puzzled frown.

"Why are you laughing?"

"My people have already captured them," he said. "They’re being held somewhere, waiting for me to decide their punishment."

Sienna stared at him in astonishment. She had never expected him to find them so quickly.

Then, suddenly, a realization struck her, and her thoughts began racing.

’Wait... something isn’t right. I haven’t told Logan anything about those gangsters. That means Zachary must have started investigating as soon as I was admitted to the hospital.’

She couldn’t help laughing to herself. She had gone through so much trouble trying to keep her injury from him, yet he had already known everything.

"Zach, your people are incredible. They tracked them down so fast..."

She couldn’t stop praising him.

"Thank you, my wife." His smile grew warmer. "Though I’m still amazed that my wife can actually defend herself. Since when did you learn how to fight?"

"I happened to join the Taekwondo club when I was in school," she replied with a small smile.

Zachary looked at her proudly before his expression turned serious again. "But don’t fight anyone in the future. I don’t want to see your delicate hands or feet hurt again."

"Mmm. I won’t." She meant it. She had never liked fighting in the first place. The only reason she had learned Taekwondo was that she had followed her friends when they signed up.

They remained in each other’s embrace for a little while longer, enjoying the warmth and comfort they had both longed for.

At last, Zachary leaned closer and whispered, "Alright... It’s getting dark outside. We’d better go home, or Little Sky will start calling us."

Sienna reluctantly pulled away from him and straightened in her seat. He was right. She had promised Skylar that they would return soon, and the sky outside had already grown dark.

Even so, something still weighed heavily on her mind.

There was one more truth she needed to tell him. About the surrogacy she had agreed to years ago.

"Zach... wait a minute." She reached for his hand and gently stopped him before he could stand.

He sat back down beside her and looked at her with quiet concern.

"What’s wrong?"
