Chapter 1442 Returning Late and Getting Drunk

Being unable to fight back or outtalk him, Benjamin White directly fainted from anger, and Adrian Desmond "kindly" called an ambulance for him.

The ambulance carried the unconscious Benjamin White away. Standing behind Adrian, Sabrina Conner asked in confusion, "Sixth Master, he just insulted you so much, why did you still help him call an ambulance? Wouldn’t it be better if he just died?"

"Because Sienna Johnson is coming back soon, and I don’t want him to die at my doorstep."

Sienna Johnson didn’t know about Elsa White’s paralysis and her attempts to seduce her. Adrian didn’t want her to find out, so he "mercifully" dealt with Elsa White’s matter.

...

Adrian Desmond has been very annoyed lately, especially annoyed.

Because Sienna Johnson has had a lot of social engagements recently and never returns before ten o’clock.

At 9 PM, with Sienna Johnson still not home, Adrian couldn’t sit still.

He called Sienna, and while she did answer, her dinner wasn’t over yet, and she’d be back late, telling him to go to bed early.

Adrian couldn’t sleep, insisting on picking her up, but Sienna wouldn’t let him, then hung up the phone.

Worried, Adrian called Sally.

"Are you with Sienna Johnson?"

"Madam told me to wait for her in the car."

Adrian got angry and snapped, "How can you wait in the car? What if those old men take advantage of her?"

Adrian’s mind was filled with unhealthy images.

Sally replied respectfully, "Sixth Master, those are Madam’s orders."

"You sure are obedient!"

"Sixth Master told me to obey Madam’s orders."

Adrian was at a loss for words, angrily hung up the phone, and glanced at the clock. It was 9:15.

With Sienna not home, there was no way Adrian could sleep. He grabbed the car keys and went to pick up Sienna.

They needed to talk!

...

At Dragon Phoenix Hotel, in the Rose Pavilion,

Sienna Johnson, Henry Evans, Leanne Andrews, and Sue White, a few women gathered, drinking osmanthus wine, which wasn’t unpleasant to drink.

Henry and Leanne were still single.

Henry wasn’t in a rush, taking things as they come, while Leanne was eager to get married. Both were doing well in their careers, living up to the saying: "Unlucky in love, lucky in business."

The women each had their own careers now and didn’t gather often, especially those like Sienna and Sue who had children.

"...You two are too much. You have successful careers and perfect families, making me feel even more like a loner," Leanne complained after drinking, lamenting about not finding a good man.

Henry and Leanne, having no families, often gathered. Henry laughed, "She’ll be fine after letting off some steam."

Sue said, "What kind are you looking for? Tell us, and we’ll introduce someone for you."

Henry added, "Introduce one for me too."

Leanne said, "Must be gentle, considerate, can do housework, love me, support my career, be faithful, not a philanderer, and handsome..."

Henry interjected, "Leanne, your standards are too high."

"High? Not at all," Leanne slurred her words, clearly tipsy. Henry said, "Alright, stop drinking. It’s embarrassing."

"Where’s my man?" Leanne shouted and then lay her head on the table, and the world went silent.

Sienna said, "When did this woman become so talkative?"

Henry laughed, "Probably because Leanne’s mom is pressuring her to get married again." She sighed after speaking.

Actually, these single women weren’t in a rush, but people around them were anxious, making them restless too.

Sienna looked at Leanne and said, "I’ll see if I know any good men when I get back and introduce them to you."

"Sure, let Leanne pick first, and I’ll take whoever is left, but they must be a man. I don’t fancy women."

Sienna: ...

Sue said, "Finding a boyfriend shouldn’t be rushed. If you accidentally meet a jerk, you’ll cry your heart out. Look at me, I almost lost half my life marrying Brandon Harris."

Henry comforted, "Now you’re reaping the rewards."

Sue smiled, "Yes, reaping the rewards." But she regretted not seeing Herbert Young’s heart clearly back then. If she had married Herbert Young from the start, she wouldn’t have the troubles now.

"Adrian knows Leopard, and I’ve spoken to Adrian about it. He said he’d talk to Leopard and tell him not to interfere in your and Brandon’s business."

"Thank you."

"We’re friends. No need for thanks."

Henry criticized Brandon, "I’ve seen shameless people, but none this shameless. Why hasn’t heaven struck him down yet?"

Sienna received a call from Sally, who told her Adrian had come to pick her up.

After hanging up, Sienna told them, "I have to go. Adrian is here."

"Adrian is such a good man, surely came because he’s afraid those old men will take advantage of you," Henry said enviously.

Sienna looked blissful, but said, "You haven’t seen his flaws. That man has a lot of problems too."

Sue said, "Who doesn’t have flaws? As long as they’re not about principles, it’s nothing big."

"Exactly, don’t bully Adrian too much."

Sienna: ...

...

As Sienna descended into the underground parking lot, Adrian got out of the car, making Sienna pause in her steps as Adrian strode over.

Smelling the strong scent of alcohol on her, Adrian frowned and asked, "How much did you drink?"

"Not much."

"You reek of alcohol."

"Really? I don’t smell anything."

Sienna truly hadn’t drunk much. She had just deliberately poured a glass on herself to appear drunk.

As for why she did this, it was naturally to let Adrian know how she felt.

Adrian would come home late every day, reeking of alcohol, and no matter how much she advised him, he ignored her. Sienna had to let him taste what it’s like to come home late and drunk.

"Are the kids asleep?"

Adrian replied irritably, "You don’t even care about the kids, so why care if they’re asleep?"

"Who says I don’t care? It’s just I’ve had too many social engagements lately, and you know I’m not just the boss of Eastminster Group but also the President of the Medical Association. I’m busy."

Adrian said, "If you’re too busy, resign as President."

If he’d known she’d be this busy away from home, Adrian would never have helped her become President. It was like hurting himself with his own actions.

"It’s fine, I can handle it."

"Sienna, we need to talk!"

"Adrian, I’m really tired now. I want to go home and sleep," Sienna deliberately yawned, looking exhausted.

"You can’t come home so late in the future, and you can’t drink this much anymore."
