The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress
Chapter 1305 - 1245: A Step Too Late
Sabrina Conner acted on her impulse, shedding her clothes and jumping into the sea wearing only boxer shorts.
The old man heard a splash and, looking up, saw Sabrina Conner swimming far away, with only her head visible above the water.
"Young man, where are you going?"
"Old man, your boat is too slow. I’m planning to swim back."
The old man: ...
...
Sabrina Conner reached the shore, snatched a phone from a man on the dock, and called Adrian Desmond. Luckily, she remembered Adrian’s phone number.
"Hello?" The unfamiliar number made Adrian unsure who it was.
"Sixth Master, it’s me, Sabrina Conner."
"Hmm."
Sabrina looked at the phone’s owner, who dared not speak up but looked at her pitifully.
Sabrina walked away with the phone, speaking softly, "Sixth Master, Josie’s identity has been exposed. I sensed something was off, so I escaped early. I overheard they said Madam is trapped in the Imperial Mausoleum..."
"Imperial Mausoleum?"
"The Abyanabad Royal Mausoleum, the burial site of the Sultan and Queen."
"Got it."
Adrian did not even question the accuracy of Sabrina’s information; he wouldn’t leave any stone unturned.
He went to the mausoleum first, then sent someone to the Imperial Palace to find Kiya for the design plans of their Ancestral Tomb, but Kiya didn’t have them.
In Abyanabad, each Sultan’s tomb is permanently sealed after the Queen is buried, and cannot be reopened.
To prevent grave robbing, various traps are set inside, and the design plans are destroyed.
—— How can we find her?
The royal family of Abyanabad has existed for over six hundred years, with many Sultans and Queens. Adrian stood in the mausoleum, looking at the rows of tombs, feeling quite troubled. It’s fine to dig one grave, but if he digs up all the Sultan’s graves, he couldn’t explain it to Kiya.
No one could come up with a good solution for a while.
Tatu suddenly had a bright idea and suggested to Adrian, "Sixth Master, the scent emanating from a human body doesn’t change. Why don’t we use a dog, let it smell something Madam used, and follow the scent to find her?"
Adrian was pleased and praised, "Great idea."
There were three fiercely trained Tosa dogs in the front yard of Desmond Manor, just perfect for the task.
Tatu said, "Sixth Master, I’ll go bring the dogs."
"Hurry back."
"Yes."
...
With the dogs leading the way, Adrian quickly found Sienna Johnson’s hiding place.
Deep in the tomb was a beautifully decorated room. Although Sienna was no longer inside, her lingering scent was there.
Adrian approached the dressing table, picked up a silver comb, and carefully removed a few black hairs from it, placing them near his nose. It was Sienna’s scent.
"I never imagined he’d hide you here..."
No wonder, he could never find her. Who would’ve thought Night Owl would hide Sienna Johnson in a tomb.
"You must have been terrified."
Sienna, a woman with a brave demeanor, had a phobia of the supernatural. When they watched "Chainsaw Killer," she was unfazed, but ghost films frightened her. If she knew she was in a tomb, who knows how scared she would be.
The dressing table had a lot of hair, indicating she hadn’t been resting well, losing a lot of hair, further confirming Adrian’s suspicion.
"Sixth Master, we’ve searched thoroughly, but couldn’t find Madam," Marion said.
At this moment, the once dark tomb was brightly lit. They had searched every corner but found no trace of Sienna Johnson.
"Let’s go."
Sienna was no longer here.
Walking through the long corridor of night pearls, after about fifty meters, Adrian smelled blood. He asked for a flashlight, carefully checking around, and found three bloodstained arrows on the ground...
The blood on the arrows had already congealed.
Marion came over and said, "Sixth Master, this place has a trap. Someone must have accidentally triggered it when passing by."
Adrian threw away the arrows in his hand, stood up, and strode out.
Ultimately, he was one step too late.
...
On the sea, the weather was clear. As a school of fish passed by, a clumsy fish bumped into the yacht’s window with a thud. Sienna Johnson woke up, looking around in confusion.
Where is this?
She felt the bed swaying, turned her head, and through the round window saw the sea outside.
No wonder, she felt the ship was swaying. She was on a boat.
Sienna recalled the incidents before she passed out. She had been hit by an arrow, and the wound still hurt.
The door opened, and a woman walked in. Sienna gazed coldly at her.
Victoria Logan saw the awakened Sienna, gave her a smile, "Senior Sienna, hello, I’m your Junior, Victoria Logan. I wonder if you remember me?"
Sienna looked at her intently, not speaking.
Now in Night Owl’s hands, Sienna was highly guarded against this woman appearing here, who surely must be one of Night Owl’s people.
Victoria approached to change Sienna’s bandages. Sienna remained quiet, though her gaze was intimidating, unlike the last time Victoria had seen her.
"Your wound is already treated. Just recover well, and you’ll be fine soon."
"Is this Night Owl’s ship?"
"Yes."
Victoria expertly unwrapped her bandage, applied new medicine, and rebandaged it with clearly professional skill.
"Why are you here?"
Victoria liked Night Owl. When she followed him to Abyanabad, she hoped to win him over, but became a joke in the end.
Feeling shame, Victoria lied, "I came for a vacation in Abyanabad, planning to return home, but was forcibly taken on board by Night Owl."
"Where are we heading?"
"I heard it’s to Kalare."
"Kalare?" Sienna frowned.
She’d heard of the place, once passing through Kalare wanting to visit, but Adrian disapproved.
Adrian said it was a hell on earth.
Is Night Owl taking her to hell on earth?
Seeing no one around, Victoria whispered, "Night Owl said he’d let me go. If I get out, I’ll find your husband and tell him your whereabouts."
Sienna’s eyes brightened, no longer cold, "Thank you."
Night Owl was extremely cunning. No one anticipated that he’d hide her in a tomb.
When they reach Kalare, surely he’d hide her somewhere unexpected as well. Adrian finding her wouldn’t be easy, and her escaping would be even harder. If someone could help convey her whereabouts to Adrian, it would be wonderful.
"You’re welcome."
Sienna thought, then asked warily, "Why are you helping me?"
"Because I envy you, because I’m jealous of you..."
