The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress

Chapter 1302 - 1242: Toward Her, He Was Too Merciful

Sienna Johnson’s face turned pale, and she explained, "Your people haven’t given me food and water for three days. If I don’t leave, I’ll starve to death or die of thirst inside."

Night Owl received incorrect information and thought she was rescued by Adrian Desmond. It was only later that he realized something was amiss, but he didn’t plan to tell Sienna Johnson about it.

He dropped the arrow he was holding and said, "Sorry, I’ll take you to eat something delicious in a moment."

Sienna Johnson didn’t need this man’s apology; she just wanted to get to the hospital quickly.

"The arrow in my abdomen—if you pull it out like this, in about ten minutes, I’ll lose too much blood and go into shock. If you don’t get me to a hospital soon, I will die."

"..."

"If you want to watch me die, you don’t have to pull it out. I’ll just die here. This place was originally a cemetery, so it’ll save the trouble of digging a pit to bury me."

She didn’t beg, but merely relayed the facts to Night Owl. How to proceed was up to him; Sienna Johnson couldn’t influence this ruthless man.

"I must be bewitched; your few words have calmed me down."

Night Owl eventually didn’t pull the arrow out using the same method. He picked up Sienna Johnson and walked out of the Imperial Mausoleum.

"Night Owl, I need to go to the hospital and get the wound treated."

"It’s just a superficial injury."

"Those arrows have been there for years; who knows if they’re carrying bacteria? If I don’t go to the hospital for treatment, the wound will get infected, and seriously, the muscle tissue will die, and I’ll need an amputation."

Night Owl said expressionlessly, "Anyway, you’re going to be a specimen; whether it’s infected is irrelevant."

"I don’t want to die!"

"But you’ve been doing things that are asking for death!"

Sienna Johnson defended, "I’ve already explained why I left. I don’t have food or water anymore."

Night Owl looked at the woman in his arms and had figured her character out. This woman’s nature was as cold as water, and it was hard to get into her heart.

"You never tried to escape because you weren’t confident you could get out." Night Owl said sharply.

"..."

"Why aren’t you speaking?"

Sienna Johnson said quietly, "What do you want me to say?" The truth was just as Night Owl described it.

A place like the Imperial Mausoleum surely has many traps to prevent tomb robbers. In the absence of understanding the terrain and mechanisms, running around is akin to being bored with your life.

Earlier, she was pinned to the wall. If Night Owl hadn’t saved her, she wouldn’t have lasted long before dying.

"You saved me, so I must thank you."

"How do you plan to thank me?" Night Owl was curious. "Marry me?"

"I’ll cook you a tasty meal."

Night Owl: ...

...

At the dock, before they boarded, they didn’t expect to meet a pregnant woman, none other than Victoria Logan.

Victoria Logan was surprised to see Night Owl.

"Night Owl? How come?..." Victoria Logan looked shocked at Night Owl.

She was planning to return to Orienta.

The deaths of Gulit and Moore gave Victoria Logan full clarity about Night Owl’s true nature.

She stopped dreaming and chose to return to her original life. She was still a surgeon, spending weekends at her parents’ home in the Suburb for two days and returning to the city for work on Monday.

Night Owl’s gaze quickly swept over Victoria Logan’s pregnant belly, and he frowned, asking, "You haven’t aborted the child?"

Victoria Logan smiled bitterly, "I’m planning to return to Orienta; after that, we probably won’t meet again..."

"Aren’t you a doctor? Help me check her out; she’s unconscious."

Night Owl didn’t take Sienna Johnson to the hospital; such a place would allow Adrian Desmond to know immediately.

He could only take a risky move, first taking her on board, and then having Lithium capture a doctor for him. Even if Sienna Johnson died, Night Owl wouldn’t return her to Adrian Desmond.

This woman is his, and he hasn’t lost interest in her.

Victoria Logan had seen the woman in Night Owl’s arms long before; she also recognized who she was—Sienna Johnson. The woman Night Owl always thought about.

Her heart still hurt, and Victoria Logan said, "How did she get hurt?"

"Arrow injury."

Victoria Logan came over, checked her wound, and frowned, "She needs to be taken to a hospital."

"Aren’t you a doctor?"

Night Owl forcibly took Victoria Logan onto the ship. Victoria was dumbfounded; when she wanted to find him, he wasn’t there. When she finally decided to leave, this man wouldn’t let her go.

The yacht does have a medical kit, and Victoria Logan treated Sienna Johnson’s wound. To prevent scars, she even used very fine stitches to sew the wound.

"Why hasn’t she awakened?" Night Owl looked at the unconscious Sienna Johnson and asked.

"It’s just excessive blood loss; she’ll be okay."

Victoria Logan took off her blood-soaked gloves, washed her hands, and said to Night Owl, "The arrowhead has rust, which may have bacteria. She still needs a tetanus shot."

"Let’s discuss it in Kalare."

Victoria Logan paused; their destination was actually Kalare.

Her impression of Kalare was pirates and warfare; what are they going there for?

However, it had nothing to do with her. Victoria Logan asked, "Can you find a place to drop me off the ship? I plan to return to Orienta."

"Not at the moment!"

"Night Owl, I finally decided to leave you. Don’t be like this; if I cling to you again, don’t regret it." Victoria Logan said angrily.

Night Owl looked at Victoria Logan with cold eyes, "Clinging to me, you’d regret it, not me!"

"..."

"Stay clear-headed, stop liking me, go back to Orienta, find a man who loves you, and marry him.

I promised to let you go, but not now."

It was rare for Night Owl to say such warm words, but to the love-struck Victoria Logan, they were piercing her heart.

"Name the child." Victoria Logan thought of the baby in her belly, hoping the child’s father would do something for the child.

"I can’t name things."

"What’s your real name?"

Victoria Logan only knew him as Night Owl, but that name seemed more like a code.

Seeing he didn’t answer, Victoria Logan thought he wasn’t comfortable answering, so she said, "I won’t tell anyone."

"Javier Jervois!"

"How is it spelled?"

Night Owl didn’t respond to Victoria Logan; Lithium arrived with another medical kit, containing everything Victoria wanted.

Victoria Logan gave Sienna Johnson a tetanus shot, then looked at Night Owl and saw him gazing tenderly at Sienna Johnson. Realization dawned—this man wasn’t heartless; he just gave his heart to another woman.

"You really abducted her." Victoria Logan didn’t expect Night Owl to be so insane.

Night Owl didn’t even glance at Victoria Logan, speaking to Lithium, "Take Miss Logan to rest."

"Yes, master."
