The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress
Chapter 1297 - 1237: Handsome Man Strategy
Sabrina Conner stood there, leaning against the boat’s rail, catching the gaze of several men in black staring at her.
If her guess was correct, if she jumped down, she would probably be shot and turned into a beehive.
How could she manage to get the message out?
Sabrina was feeling quite troubled.
"Hey, what are you standing here for?" an unfamiliar man in black noticed Sabrina had been standing there for a long time and came over to ask, his tone guarded.
Sabrina didn’t speak and turned to walk towards the cabin.
The small cabin could only fit a bed, with a half-meter aisle beside it, just that much space.
She lay on the bed, checked her phone, still no signal whatsoever.
What on earth should she do?
...
At Desmond Manor, with the moon high in the sky, the lake shimmering, the lotus in the lake blooming with unparalleled splendor.
Adrian Desmond and a beautiful woman stood by the lake, like a picture.
Adrian bent down, picked a red lotus, and handed it to Josie, saying gently, "Do you like it?"
"Giving it to me?..."
"Yes."
"I really like it, thank you...Six...Adrian."
Josie didn’t expect Adrian would give her flowers, she excitedly accepted it, smelled the faint fragrance, knowing this was Sienna Johnson’s favorite flower.
Sienna loves lotus flowers, and this man planted a whole pond of them for her. As a woman, Josie was really jealous.
What on earth makes Sienna Johnson so worthy of this man’s love?
"Why do you love Sienna Johnson so much?" Josie couldn’t resist asking, with a touch of unwillingness in her tone.
Adrian stood there, looking at the pond of lotus flowers, his thoughts on Sienna, his ears suddenly twitched, then he grabbed Josie.
Josie was shocked, and after realizing, hugged him in return.
His embrace was warmer than she had imagined, her heart raced, feeling as if it might leap out for this man, wanting to show him her true heart.
"Night Owl’s people are here..." he whispered in her ear.
Adrian’s guess wasn’t wrong, Night Owl was truly obsessed with "Sienna Johnson". Sabrina passed on the message to Night Owl, once Night Owl knew he saved "Sienna Johnson", he sent people to scout.
With all kinds of things going on, they were still thinking about his woman.
Adrian wanted nothing more than to kill Night Owl!
Josie suddenly held her breath, she was afraid of Night Owl, a man who could torture women until life felt worse than death.
"Be good, follow my instructions. After we succeed, I’ll grant you a wish!" Adrian promised.
Josie was overwhelmed with excitement, incredulously asking, "Really?"
"Don’t you believe me?"
Adrian released her, while Josie reluctantly left his addictive embrace; he gently pinched her chin, his fierce eyes now affectionate, like a pool of spring water, like the March peach blossoms...
"Adrian?" Josie was captivated by him, instinctively wanted to kiss him, but Adrian deftly avoided.
If Sienna, that jealous pot, knew he was kissed by another woman, he’d be sleeping on the sofa for life.
"Don’t act like this..."
Josie bore Sienna’s face, displaying such a hungry expression, making Adrian uncomfortable.
"Once it’s done, you truly promise me a wish."
"Yes."
"No matter what wish?"
"Yes."
Josie blushed and smiled, how could Adrian not know what this woman intended, but regrettably, once the deed was done, he wouldn’t let her live.
Though just a replica, he couldn’t allow a woman with the same face as Sienna to lie beneath another man; it’s an affront to Sienna.
"I’ll kill Night Owl," Josie said.
Adrian picked another lotus, sniffed it, the light fragrance, Josie thought Adrian would hand her the flower again, but he kept it in his hand, not giving it to her.
"Night Owl was originally your boss, you should know Night Owl isn’t easy to deal with. However, you can leverage your face well, perhaps it will fulfill your desire." Adrian encouraged.
In the distance, the leaves moved slightly, hiding a person that only Adrian with keen hearing could detect.
Adrian underestimated Night Owl’s "interest" in Sienna Johnson.
"People are coming; you know what to do." Adrian lowered his voice further.
Deep, magnetic, this man’s voice was truly pleasant, Josie was captivated by him, even if Adrian asked her to die, she’d naively comply.
"Adrian, I love you."
Adrian didn’t even look at her, picked a few more lotus flowers, and left. Josie noticed Adrian only picked white lotuses, while hers was pink.
She glanced at the pink lotus in her hand, suddenly understanding something.
Sienna must like white lotuses.
The joy in her heart was somewhat diluted; Josie was unwilling to accept it, wondering how she was inferior to Sienna.
"Ah..." Suddenly a pain in the back of her neck, Josie was knocked unconscious, her last consciousness was falling into the embrace of a man.
This man’s embrace was so cold, so cold...not Adrian’s embrace.
...
Adrian placed the white lotus into the white ceramic vase in the bedroom, a vintage vase purchased from an auction.
Sienna, always frugal, fell in love at first sight with this vase, and unreasonably spent a fortune to purchase it.
"Sienna, where exactly are you?"
"Sixth Master, Lin took Josie away." Marion entered, reporting to Adrian.
Adrian didn’t even look back, "Send someone to pursue."
Marion was somewhat puzzled, "Sixth Master, why pursue? Weren’t you intending to return Josie to Night Owl?"
"If my woman is lost and I don’t pursue, isn’t that odd?"
Marion understood.
...
Imperial Mausoleum,
Sienna walked to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and found very little food left.
Every three days, someone would come to deliver food and water, but now they suddenly hadn’t.
Sienna picked up a tomato, didn’t even wash it, and ate it directly; cautiously, not letting a drop of tomato juice fall.
Having eaten a tomato, Sienna looked at the food remaining in the fridge: three tomatoes, two cucumbers, three eggs, an apple, a bottle of 500 milliliters of water.
"Is this rageful revenge, planning to starve me?" Sienna joked.
She carefully divided the food into portions, preparing for the worst. If Night Owl planned to starve her, she’d have no choice but to find a way out of the mausoleum.
Sienna ate another tomato, took a small sip of water.
"If I’d known this day would come, I should have studied archaeology."
"..."
"Or read some books on tomb raiding would do..."
