The Apocalypse Strikes, I Became a Druid
Chapter 109 Three Technologies
Chapter 109: Chapter 108: Three Technologies
These three scenes contained a massive amount of information.
Han Ning felt his Mental Power rapidly depleting.
[Mental Power: 0.3 (2.5)]
"Ugh!"
Han Ning opened his eyes, his pupils scattered due to the severe mental exhaustion. His face was as pale as paper, and beads of sweat oozed from his forehead. He almost collapsed to the ground.
"These scenes... this information..." he muttered to himself. Although his face was twisted in agony, beneath the pained expression lay an extraordinary joy. "The extraction of High-Energy Stones... nutrient-rich soil... directed plant mutation..."
Han Ning recalled the scenes nature had just provided. In those images, the actions of those creatures were incredibly clear and detailed!
"Does anyone have a pen and paper? A pen and paper?" Han Ning hurriedly walked out of the conference room, asking everyone he encountered.
A short while later, Han Ning was sitting behind an office desk, a stack of paper piled on top of it. Holding a pen, he rapidly sketched and jotted things down.
"That method for processing Monster Crystal Stones, I’ll call it [Low Level Energy Stone Production Technology]..." After sorting it out, he roughly summarized the following useful information from the images:
1. [Low Level Energy Stone Production Technology]
For a Water Energy Stone, the requirements were: it must contain stable Water Attribute Energy, and complex Runes must be engraved on its surface. Material Source: Hunt down powerful aquatic or amphibious Extraordinary Creatures to obtain their Energy Cores, then perform Rune engraving. The core of this process lay in acquiring energy-infused Crystal Cores from powerful monsters, then applying specific energy guidance—such as carving peculiar patterns—to carry out preliminary modifications, transforming them into an Energy Source that could be utilized at any time.
2. [High-Energy Soil Refining Technology]
Using Energy Stone fragments as core nutrients, combined with the blood of certain Extraordinary Creatures and filtered base soil, one could create High-Energy Soil through a smelting-like process. This soil contained surging Energy and could greatly accelerate the growth of Extraordinary Plants while providing them with nutrients. This was simply the ultimate Extraordinary upgrade to composting technology. The Energy contained in just a tiny bit of High-Energy Soil likely far exceeded the compost he had previously made from a massive pile of Extraordinary Creature flesh and blood.
3. A detailed mutation plan for ordinary squirting cucumbers, based on his own [Earth Druid] abilities, [Natural Blessing], and a combination of the previous two technologies.
Mutation Steps: Use [Rapid Growth] to accelerate an ordinary squirting cucumber seed to its mature flowering stage (about half a meter tall). Press a Rune-engraved Water Attribute Low Level Energy Stone against the plant’s main stem, about a palm’s width from the roots. Release Natural Energy to initiate a preliminary fusion with the plant’s tissues. Finally, transplant the plant, along with a small amount of the original soil around its roots, into a container filled with High-Energy Soil. Ensure the roots are completely enveloped by the High-Energy Soil...
The clarity and directness of the information obtained from this Communication with Nature far exceeded the vague images he had received last time when he asked, "How can ordinary people become stronger?" The will of nature had given him—an Earth Druid—a much more straightforward and detailed response regarding the exploration of his capability path.
He faintly grasped something about how the Communication with Nature Skill should be used. When asking about matters related to a Druid, Communication with Nature seemed to provide exceptionally clear answers.
"If this works... in the future, I can ask all sorts of things about what weapons and armor a Druid can equip, which transformation suits me best... what kind of plants are suitable to cultivate based on the current environment. Tsk, this is simply amazing..."
He wasn’t completely certain yet, but there was no harm in trying it out later! This discovery made his heart pound wildly. If his guess was correct, the value of this Skill would far exceed his expectations. It would become his most powerful guiding light and treasure trove of knowledge on this "Path of the Druid"!
Han Ning recorded the scenes from his mind in text, writing voluminously across several pages. Finally, he tapped the desk lightly, pondering,
"Mutating squirting cucumbers doesn’t conflict with me getting stronger. I can hunt for monster crystals when I go out hunting, and craft other things when I’m resting. This way, I can increase my Skill Level, accumulate Level progress, and simultaneously modify plants.
"Yes, just like this... maximizing efficiency..."
At this thought, a strong wave of dizziness swept over him. His vision went black in patches, and the handwriting on the manuscript paper began to blur and distort.
"Ugh..." he groaned, unable to hold on any longer.
Relying almost entirely on instinct, Han Ning stuffed the papers covered in crucial information into his shirt, hiding them close to his body. He then staggered to his feet, groping his way to the corner where he had temporarily rested yesterday. Pulling a blanket over himself, he fell into a deep sleep.
After an unknown amount of time, an anxious female voice gently awakened Han Ning’s consciousness.
"Han Ning... Han Ning..."
He opened his heavy eyelids, his vision gradually sharpening from a blur. The first thing that caught his eye was Lin Qianqian’s beautiful, worry-etched face. Her frail and delicate appearance was enough to evoke tenderness from anyone. She crouched in front of him, so close that Han Ning could clearly see the bloodshot veins in her eyes. A fresh scent, mixed with the aroma of food, lingered at the tip of his nose.
"You’re awake?" Seeing him open his eyes, Lin Qianqian was visibly relieved. She withdrew the hand that seemed intended to check his forehead and instead gently helped him sit up.
Han Ning rubbed his still-throbbing brow, feeling his Spirit had recovered quite a bit. He looked around. The sky outside the window was dim, making it impossible to tell whether it was dusk or dawn.
"How long did I sleep?" he asked in a hoarse voice.
"A whole day and night. It’s noon of the second day now," Lin Qianqian answered softly, bringing over a steaming white porcelain bowl from the side. Inside the bowl were soft-boiled instant noodles, topped with two poached eggs and a few slices of cut ham sausage. It emanated a rich, exceptionally appetizing aroma.
"Everyone was very worried about you. Chairman Wu came to check on you several times. I was afraid something was wrong with you, so I tried to wake you up."
"A day and a night?!" Han Ning’s heart skipped a beat. He had guessed that the consequences of over-depleting his Mental Power would be severe, but he hadn’t expected to fall into a deep sleep for so long. This meant that a precious twenty-four hours had simply slipped away. Damn it!
"Does your head hurt a lot? Do you want me to massage it for you?" Noticing Han Ning’s tightly knitted brows, Lin Qianqian’s tone grew even gentler. She completely lacked the aura of the decisive female boss with a charming face who usually led the team. Instead, she seemed like an older sister next door carefully looking after her younger brother.
"N-no... I just don’t feel too well!" Han Ning had instinctively wanted to decline, but as the words reached his lips, he realized there was no reason to refuse.
"Rest your head here," Lin Qianqian said. She sat cross-legged on the floor and pointed to her shapely legs, clad in dark sweatpants.
"Okay."
Han Ning decisively and gently rested his head on Lin Qianqian’s lap.
