Chapter 81: Chapter 81: Ace Raid Team

BUZZ!

The Teleportation Gate gave a soft tremble as three figures stepped out.

"They’re out, they’re out!"

"The Godslayer Guild’s subjugation team is out. Do you think they managed a perfect clear?"

"Not to look down on them, but they only have three people."

"I don’t think there’s much hope either. After all, the chairman of the Holy Law Celestial Horse Guild said decades ago that it was impossible for anyone to get a perfect clear."

The onlooking players gossiped among themselves. Amidst the chatter, Yu Zhun and the other two looked equally nervous.

They weren’t nervous about the imminent Golden Light pillar that would signify a first perfect clear, but rather...

"Brother, are you absolutely sure?" Yu Zhun asked, grabbing a staff member. "Are you truly certain the Dungeon is still there?"

"I’m sure!" the staff member replied, his expression odd.

He figured that the anomaly with the Under the Dragon Burial City Dungeon last time was most likely just a problem with the Teleportation Gate. Did this kid really think that casually clearing a Dungeon could cause it to glitch out entirely?

However, thinking about the Godslayer Guild’s clear results that had just been displayed, the staff member couldn’t help but marvel. This guild’s ability to conquer Dungeons was simply too strong.

BOOM!!!

After a brief delay, a Golden Light pillar rose into the sky once more. Seeing this astonishing scene, the crowd completely boiled over.

The Godslayer Guild had actually achieved yet another perfect first clear! Such a battle record would not only sweep through all Two-Star guilds, but even among Three-Star guilds, few could pull this off!

Having confirmed that the Dungeon hadn’t glitched, Yu Zhun’s trio let out a long sigh of relief and slipped away in the chaos before the other players could swarm them.

Their final Dungeon for the day, the 2A-difficulty Lv30 Valley of Glazed Glass, was scheduled for the afternoon. Rather than staying here to be gawked at, it was better to head back to the guild first.

Divine Strategy City, the Holy Law Celestial Horse Guild.

"Chairman!"

A high-ranking executive strode into the guild’s conference room, his face looking rather ugly. "The Godslayer Guild perfectly cleared another Dungeon!"

Inside the room, a composed middle-aged man looked up, calmly watching his hurried subordinate. "So flustered. It’s just an Lv20 Dungeon. A perfect clear isn’t all that rare."

This was the chairman of the Holy Law Celestial Horse Guild, Long Zhan.

"But..." The subordinate’s expression was indescribable. "The one they conquered was the Cold Ice Silence Realm!"

For a split second, dead silence filled the conference room. The atmosphere seemed to turn exceptionally oppressive in the blink of an eye.

But in the next instant, Long Zhan let out a hearty laugh, prompting a rapid Recovery in the conference room’s atmosphere.

"How nostalgic. It’s been decades since I conquered that Dungeon.

"It seems the Godslayer Guild’s clearing ability is indeed quite strong.

"It’s just a pity that their actual strength is too weak; they can still only clear Lv20 Dungeons. Alright, I have other matters to attend to.

"There’s no need to report such things to me in the future," Long Zhan said, shaking his head and waving for his subordinate to leave.

"Yes, sir," the subordinate nodded, turning and leaving the conference room.

Once the doors shut, Long Zhan’s expression abruptly darkened, and he couldn’t help but let out a low snort.

"Chairman Long, the Godslayer Guild has truly been stealing the spotlight in our Divine Strategy City lately," a young man sitting further down the conference table chuckled. "They’ve achieved several perfect first clears on Lv20 Dungeons back-to-back. Given time, they might just replace our Holy Law Celestial Horse!"

Long Zhan glared coldly at the sarcastic young man before him. "Is this funny to you?"

The imposing aura of an Lv54 powerhouse erupted in an instant.

"Tch." The young man curled his lip, muttering under his breath, "Useless against outsiders, but great at throwing your weight around at home."

Long Zhan clenched his fists, but slowly reined in his aura.

"Our Holy Law Celestial Horse has not achieved anything worth mentioning in a long time," he said in a deep voice. "As the only Four-Star guild in Divine Strategy City, we have kept a low profile for too long.

"It is time we do something to prove that we are still the strongest guild in the city."

"I know, I know." The young man yawned. "Isn’t that why you hired me as outside help?"

"Liu Yunze," Long Zhan said, looking at the young man with a sharp gaze. "You are the clearing genius our Holy Law Celestial Horse spent a fortune to hire. You possess the glorious track record of perfectly clearing two Dungeons on your first try.

"Holy Law Celestial Horse has two Lv30 King clearing teams.

"Each team has a full roster of fifteen members. Every single one has reached Lv30 and unlocked their fifth Equipment slot, Boots.

"Everyone possesses at least one piece of +15 Epic-tier Equipment, and the rest of their gear consists of +10 Master Level Equipment.

"On average, each of them has conquered over twenty Dungeons.

"Now, I am handing them over to you.

"I want you to take down the Red Moon Tide at all costs!"

The special Dungeon, Red Moon Tide, was an Lv30 Dungeon that belonged to no Main City; its entrance was located outside the city walls. Its difficulty was locked at 3A and could not be altered.

Unlike Permanent Dungeons, special Dungeons had a time limit. If a perfect clear wasn’t achieved before the deadline, the special Dungeon would vanish. Only by perfectly conquering a special Dungeon could one claim it entirely for themselves. Gaining even one extra special Dungeon held extraordinary significance, not just for a guild, but for the entire Blue Star!

The Red Moon Tide had a duration of thirty days, and eighteen days had already passed since its appearance. In those eighteen days, guilds large and small across the thirty-six Main Cities had dispatched clearing teams to attempt it. Yet, all attempts had ended in failure, and quite a few teams had been completely sent to their burial within it.

If the Holy Law Celestial Horse could successfully take it down, the Godslayer Guild’s current petty achievements would pale in comparison to the perfect clear of a special Dungeon!

When that time came, everyone would know that in Divine Strategy City, the Holy Law Celestial Horse was unshakable!

Liu Yunze’s expression gradually turned serious.

"Rest assured, Chairman Long.

"I, Liu Yunze, came here specifically for the Red Moon Tide!"

"The first all-hands meeting of the Godslayer Guild begins now!"

Within the Godslayer Guild, inside a conference room being used for the very first time, Yu Zhun looked at Ji Xiaoyu and Salas with a stern expression.

"Chairman, there are only three of us," Ji Xiaoyu pointed at each of them in turn. "Is it really necessary to hold a meeting in the conference room?"

"Uh, well..." Yu Zhun’s mouth twitched slightly. "Regardless, let’s be a bit serious.

"Besides, we might be small, but we are perfectly formed. Though we lack numbers, our membership structure is complete. Chairman.

"Management.

"Regular member," Yu Zhun declared, pointing first to himself, then to Ji Xiaoyu, and finally to Salas.

Ji Xiaoyu was left utterly speechless.

Salas shared her silence.
