Chapter 73: Chapter 73: New Members and New Goals

In a brief moment, Yu Zhun and Ji Xiaoyu exchanged glances, reaching a silent consensus. This guy named Salas... they absolutely could not let him get away!

"Well, Salas..." Yu Zhun broke into a smile. "Are you familiar with the Hand of Slaughter guild?"

Yu Zhun had heard of the Hand of Slaughter guild. It was a Three Stars guild ranked in the top twenty of Divine Strategy City, and its strength was not to be underestimated.

"Not really," Salas shook his head honestly. "But I heard their guild is currently recruiting Blacksmiths and the benefits are quite good.

"My Profession talent is only D-grade, so my combat Profession is essentially useless. If I want to find a guild, I can only start from a Life Profession."

"D-grade talent?" Yu Zhun raised an eyebrow. "Do you mind telling me its effect?"

"It’s nothing special. My talent is More Durable." Salas had no intention of hiding it. "The specific effect is a ten percent increase in the duration of buff skills."

"The effect isn’t bad." Yu Zhun nodded slightly. "Since you’re already here, why don’t you join our guild?"

"...Huh?" Salas froze for a moment, then looked conflicted.

He wanted to join Hand of Slaughter because the benefits they publicly offered were excellent. A Blacksmith with a Life Profession level of 20 or above could unconditionally be reimbursed for ten million in material expenses each month. One had to understand that although a Blacksmith wasn’t as expensive to maintain as an Enhancer, independently researching and developing items consumed a massive amount of materials. Additionally, independently developed items were difficult to price and inconvenient to list on the trading house. By joining a large guild, he could sell his items to other members.

Although the reputation of the Godslayer guild had already spread within a small circle, Salas paid no attention to gossip and had never heard of them. Asking him to join now...

"Whatever benefits Hand of Slaughter is offering you, our Godslayer guild will double it!" Ji Xiaoyu slammed her hand on the table. "I’ll pay for it out of my own pocket!"

Yu Zhun’s mouth twitched, his expression turning strange. "Aren’t I the guild leader?" he thought. However, he noticed that Salas looked tempted. "Forget it, the one holding the purse strings is always right," he concluded.

"In addition to that, we can take you along to clear Dungeons," Yu Zhun said, looking at Salas with a serious expression. "We happen to be missing a Priest."

Although Salas’s talent was quite average, with Yu Zhun and Ji Xiaoyu there, having a slightly weaker Priest wasn’t unacceptable.

"C-Clear Dungeons?" Salas was stunned, revealing an even more tempted look than before. "Can I really?"

"You can go ask around. Our guild achieved the perfect first clear of Bloody City a few days ago, and today we completed the perfect first clear of Under the Dragon Burial City," Yu Zhun said, crossing his arms.

"Mhm, mhm." Ji Xiaoyu nodded heavily. "We cleared the Under the Dragon Burial City Dungeon so hard it disappeared!"

Yu Zhun was speechless. "Rich girl, you really didn’t need to share that!" he thought.

"This..." Salas’s eyes widened. Although he hadn’t cleared many Dungeons, he knew the immense value of a perfect first clear.

The Godslayer guild was no longer as unknown as before. Salas immediately contacted an acquaintance in Divine Strategy City and quickly received a positive confirmation.

"I... I’ll join!"

BANG!

Two party poppers shot out colorful ribbons, landing on Salas’s bright green head.

"Congratulations to our new member!" Ji Xiaoyu and Yu Zhun shouted in unison.

The latter’s face carried a hint of reluctance, but since this was the wealthy backer’s proposal, he had to obey. As a side note, the party poppers had been made by the new member himself.

"Guild Leader, where are the other members of our guild?" Having officially joined, Salas was equally excited. "I can’t wait to meet them!" To be able to continuously achieve perfect first clears on two Dungeons in such a short period, the guild had to be bursting with talent and swarming with experts!

Yu Zhun and Ji Xiaoyu’s expressions simultaneously turned awkward.

"Well..." Under the rich girl’s gaze, Yu Zhun bit the bullet and spoke. "What you see right now is the entirety of the guild’s members."

Salas was dumbfounded. "Is it too late to quit now?" he wondered.

"I achieved the perfect first clear of Bloody City by myself, and Ji Xiaoyu and I achieved the perfect first clear of Under the Dragon Burial City together." Seeing the urge to retreat in Salas’s eyes, Yu Zhun gave his shoulder a firm pat. "Although we have few people, we are all elites!"

"Elites..." Salas hesitated to speak.

"Let’s not talk about that for now," Yu Zhun smiled. "I’ll take you to the Divine Revelation Hall later to register your membership, and we can apply for tomorrow’s Dungeon while we’re at it.

"You’ll be able to see our strength with your own eyes tomorrow!"

Hearing this, Salas gained a bit more confidence.

"Alright!" He revealed an expectant look. "Then, Guild Leader, what Dungeon are we applying for tomorrow?"

"Let me think..." Yu Zhun put on a thoughtful expression. "Since we achieved the perfect first clear of Under the Dragon Burial City today, we currently have three chances to clear Dungeons.

"However, Under the Dragon Burial City can no longer be challenged. So, besides one run of Bloody City, we’ll need to tackle new Dungeons for our remaining two attempts."

"We’re going to clear two new Dungeons at the same time tomorrow?" Ji Xiaoyu looked surprised.

"Yes," Yu Zhun nodded. "Our first target to clear is Cold Ice Silence Realm."

This Dungeon was the last one the Godslayer guild currently possessed a strategy for. Now that his strength had received a massive boost, and the team had added a Priest, they could give it a try.

"Salas, what are your four skills?"

"Uh... Healing, Purification, Gale, and Guardian." Salas quickly listed his skills. These four were mainstream choices for early-stage Priests, providing the effects of restoring health, dispelling negative statuses, increasing speed and agility, and boosting Physical Defense and Magic Defense, respectively.

"Swap Gale and Guardian for Encourage and Barrier," Yu Zhun instructed. "Encourage boosts Physical Attack and Magic Attack to increase our output, while Barrier blocks attacks.

"These two skills are much more useful in Cold Ice Silence Realm."

"No problem." Salas nodded cooperatively.

Ji Xiaoyu asked curiously, "Guild Leader, what about the other Dungeon?"

"The other Dungeon..." Yu Zhun smiled. "We’ll choose Valley of Glazed Glass."

Salas blinked, indicating he had never heard of it. But Ji Xiaoyu, standing beside him, was instantly stunned.

"That’s a level 30 Dungeon!"

"Mhm." Yu Zhun nodded slightly. "Don’t worry, we’ll play it safe this time. We’ll start by tackling Valley of Glazed Glass on 2A difficulty."

The reason for making this choice was that after clearing three Dungeons tomorrow, Yu Zhun—who took the lion’s share of the experience—would break through to level 21. By then, he would no longer be able to challenge level 20 Dungeons. Valley of Glazed Glass was the easiest among the level 30 Dungeons. If the three of them could beat the 2A difficulty, Yu Zhun would be able to lead them to challenge level 30 Dungeons above their current tier.
