Chapter 55: Chapter 55: Unlocking New Profession Skills

Stepping out of the premium Enhancement Room, Yu Zhun politely declined the familiar, beautiful staff member’s invitation to renew his session. He switched to his secondary appearance and walked briskly out of the Divine Revelation Hall, opening his Life Profession panel on the go.

Pouring in a full twenty-five sets of Three Divine Talismans and a massive amount of Equipment Enhancement Stones had instantly yielded over 280,000 experience points. This allowed his Life Profession to reach Lv20 ahead of his combat Profession.

And upon reaching Lv20, his Life Profession unlocked a brand-new skill.

[Character Name: Yu Zhun]

[Level: Lv20 (52,120/112,600)]

[Profession: Enhancer]

[Luck: 52 → 84]

[Profession Skill 1 (Enhancement)]

[Profession Skill 2 (Enhancement Transfer)]

[Profession Skill 3 (Upgrade): Consume a specified amount of Equipment Upgrade Stones to raise Equipment level. Each point of Luck increases the success rate of the Enhancement by 0.5%.]

"Unlocking the [Upgrade] skill at Lv20 is exactly what I needed right now." Yu Zhun couldn’t help but smile.

Although his three pieces of Red Equipment were currently powerful, they were all Lv15. Judging solely by their attributes, Lv25 Purple Equipment would already be quite close in power to Lv15 Red Equipment.

If this continued, there would come a day when his Red Equipment would become obsolete.

However, he had invested a massive amount of capital into enhancing these three pieces. Phasing them out just like that was out of the question. Besides, he was extremely satisfied with their equipment effects—switching to other Red Equipment wouldn’t necessarily be as effective.

Therefore, [Upgrade] was the perfect solution.

Once the Equipment’s level increased, its attributes would simultaneously scale up to match the corresponding level, preventing it from falling behind as the player leveled up.

Moreover, compared to Enhancement, the cost of upgrading was much smaller.

Upgrading required Equipment Upgrade Stones and upgrade materials. A failed upgrade had no side effects other than consuming the stones and materials, which meant Level-retaining Talismans and Divine Protection Talismans were unnecessary—only Lucky Talismans were needed.

Previously, the Nether Trial had rewarded Yu Zhun with over a thousand Equipment Enhancement Stones, as well as 90 Equipment Upgrade Stones.

After sitting in his inventory for so long, they finally had a use.

"Once I reach Lv20 and can equip the helmet, I’ll upgrade my current three pieces of Red Equipment to Lv20. Then I’ll have a fully maxed-out set of four Red Equipment." A look of anticipation flashed in Yu Zhun’s eyes.

There was no rush to upgrade them just yet. It would be quite awkward if he couldn’t wear them because his level was too low.

Switching over, Yu Zhun opened his combat Profession panel to check his attributes after gaining two levels and undergoing a round of enhancement.

[Character Name: Yu Zhun]

[Level: Lv18 (11,520/67,800)]

[Profession: Assassin]

[Profession Talent: Open and Aboveboard (SSS-Grade)]

[Wearing Title: Nether General (Red)]

[Attributes:

HP: 9,984 → 17,160 [Equipment +10,080] [Title +50%]

Mana: 290 → 370

Physical Attack: 3,487 → 3,647 [Equipment +2,947]

Magic Attack: 0 → 0

Physical Defense: 2,636 → 3,023 [Equipment +1,680] [Title +50%]

Magic Defense: 2,636 → 3,023 [Equipment +1,680] [Title +50%]]

[Skills: 4/4] (Skill Points: 1)

[Equipment: 3/3]

"My HP jumped by over seven thousand all at once."

Yu Zhun clicked his tongue. "Both my Physical Defense and Magic Defense are over 3,000 points. Now, when the Blood Corpse King and Little Brother attack me, they’ll directly heal me without even needing the [Transformation] Equipment effect to change their damage type."

Oh no, he was even more invincible now.

"After the first perfect clear, the difficulty of Bloody City will decrease slightly. I’m really looking forward to seeing Little Brother tomorrow."

The next morning.

"Yu Zhuzhu, time to get up!"

Yu Zhun’s voice drifted from the living room into Yu Zhu’s bedroom. After a brief moment of silence, a commotion erupted from within.

"Crap, I overslept!"

Having hastily changed her clothes, Yu Zhu dashed out with a severe case of bedhead. After a lightning-fast wash, she sat at the dining table, grabbed a fried egg with her chopsticks, and shoved it into her mouth, stuffing her cheeks full.

"Eat slowly, don’t choke." Yu Zhun shook his head in amusement. He fetched a comb from the bathroom and began brushing her hair. "I told you not to set your alarm so late. If you woke up just five minutes earlier, you wouldn’t be in such a rush."

"You... dwon’t geddit!" Yu Zhu swallowed her food with a gulp, then downed a mouthful of milk—GLUG GLUG GLUG. "This is called proper time management!"

"But you’re going to be late."

"I’m not late yet!" Yu Zhu, highly sensitive to the word "late," stomped her feet in indignation. "As long as I run faster later, I can catch the bus!"

"Running right after eating is bad for your health." Yu Zhun expertly tied her hair into braids, then retrieved her backpack from her room and set it aside. "But it’s just for today, anyway.

"We’re moving tomorrow."

The handover procedures for the house had been completed a while ago. Even though he had been busy with Divine Revelation World these past two days, Yu Zhun hadn’t forgotten to prepare for the move.

Once they moved to the new house, Yu Zhu wouldn’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn to walk ten minutes to the station, followed by a half-hour bus ride just to get to school.

Shengshi First-class was located very close to Yu Zhu’s school—so close that it would only take a ten-minute walk to get there.

"We’re moving tomorrow?" Yu Zhu’s eyes lit up as she quickly finished her breakfast. "Morning or afternoon?"

"Tomorrow morning." Yu Zhun wiped her mouth and handed her the backpack. "Now, off to school you go."

"I’m off, I’m off!" Shouldering her backpack, Yu Zhu bolted out the door like a whirlwind, initiating a Charge toward the bus stop.

Yu Zhun shook his head and smiled. After cleaning up the dishes, he lay down on the sofa and logged into the Divine Revelation World.

"GASP—"

Seeing the magnificent building before him, Yu Zhun had barely steadied his footing before he drew a sharp breath in shock.

Was this... his guild?!

The guild building, which had just been a shabby little wooden cabin yesterday, was now completely transformed. The grand palace with its magnificent white walls and grayish-green roof gave the Godslayer Guild—despite having a much smaller footprint than a Three-Star guild—a majestic air that most Three-Star guilds lacked.

If it weren’t for the massive words "Godslayer" hanging over the entrance, Yu Zhun would have thought that Divine Revelation World had bugged out and teleported him to someone else’s guild.

"Good morning, Guild Master!"

Ji Xiaoyu’s energetic voice rang out beside him. Seeing the surprised look on his face, she instantly brightened up.

It seemed her efforts in hiring people to expand and renovate the guild overnight hadn’t been in vain.

"Guild Master, are you satisfied with the newly renovated guild building?"

Ji Xiaoyu looked at him with a beaming smile.

"Extremely satisfied." Yu Zhun nodded heavily, gaining a much more direct understanding of the rich lady’s "superpower of wealth."

Although renovating a guild building in Divine Revelation World wasn’t as tedious and complicated as in reality—and was much faster—completing such a grand structure overnight still required millions in expenses.

It was equivalent to Rich Lady Ji spending the price of a piece of Purple Equipment overnight.

With such an amazing guild member, he absolutely had to carry her to a perfect clear of Bloody City today so she could feel the warmth of the guild!

"Let’s go. We’re heading to the Dungeon Hall!"
