Chapter 128: Chapter 117: The President Went Robbing?!

[PS: There are many stat panels in this Chapter.]

Yu Zhun would probably never forget the awkward situation he faced when fighting Nether, the final boss of the Nether Abyss.

He clearly had a shield, but the opponent’s mechanism completely ignored it, directly targeting his Life Value. This forced him to use his already low Physical Attack, relying on pitifully weak strikes to steal health and maintain full Life Value.

Despite his high lifesteal, Yu Zhun had to admit that he was still somewhat lacking in recovery methods. If he encountered a special situation where a One-Hit Kill was impossible, his life recovery could become an issue.

But now, the appearance of the Equipment effect [Existence] completely made up for this shortcoming.

Unable to steal health? It didn’t matter! His shield was an endless blood bank! As long as his shield remained, any decrease in Life Value would be immediately replenished by the life converted from the shield! 𝐟𝒓ℯⅇ

This meant that Yu Zhun had a much higher resistance to true damage and health-deducting mechanisms that ignored shields.

The first piece of Legendary Equipment was already this powerful. Overjoyed, Yu Zhun couldn’t help but reach his hand into the light cluster corresponding to the accessory. Unsurprisingly, he also saw some familiar presences in the Equipment effect pool of the accessory.

Yu Zhun smiled. He thought, "Since that’s the case, I’ll choose these four!"

The second piece of Legendary Equipment: Accessory, solidified!

[Nether Mercy Bracelet]

[Equipment Introduction: A powerful accessory from the end of the Nether Abyss. Embark on your journey with Nether’s Mercy! You shall never rest!]

[Equipment Level: Lv35]

[Equipment Quality: Legendary Equipment (Golden)]

[Equipment Slot: Accessory]

[Equipment Durability: 100]

[Equipment Attributes: Physical Defense +4000, Magic Defense +4000]

[Equipment Effect 1 (Transformation): 30% of incoming attacks are automatically transformed into another form of attack]

[Equipment Effect 2 (Deep Embrace): When the incoming attack is lower than your corresponding defense type, recover Life Value equal to 150% of the attack]

[Equipment Effect 3 (Seize): Use on a designated target to reduce their Physical Attack and Magic Attack by 20%, and increase your own Physical Defense and Magic Defense by an equal amount. Each use consumes 40 Mana]

[Equipment Effect 4 (Mercy): Damage reduction 20%]

As the Equipment Yu Zhun used most frequently and which lost Equipment Durability the fastest, the effectiveness of [Nether’s Deep Embrace] was undeniable. Although the Legendary Equipment accessory [Nether Mercy Bracelet] had changed from a belt to a bracelet, its first three Equipment effects were completely retained and even enhanced.

The new effect, [Mercy], had a very short description, but its power needed no further explanation.

Yu Zhun’s only previous damage reduction ability was the Lv3 skill [Phantom], which could briefly provide a 50% damage reduction but had a long cooling time of 20 seconds. However, [Mercy] was a permanent passive effect.

"Next is the weapon. I hope it has [Asura]," Yu Zhun muttered, reaching his hand into the light cluster corresponding to the weapon.

The Equipment effect [Asura] had been obtained through Refinement with Salas’s help, so Yu Zhun wasn’t sure if it existed in the effect pool.

After reviewing the twenty pop-up effects one by one, Yu Zhun’s expression became a bit strange.

Bad news: there was no [Asura]. Good news: there were better effects.

After quickly selecting the four desired skills, a brand-new dagger glowing with golden light appeared in front of him.

[Nether Mourning Demon Blade]

[Equipment Introduction: A powerful weapon from the end of the Nether Abyss. Only slaughter is the most praiseworthy Mourning etiquette!]

[Equipment Level: Lv35]

[Equipment Quality: Legendary Equipment (Golden)]

[Equipment Slot: Weapon]

[Equipment Durability: 100]

[Equipment Attributes: Physical Attack +12500]

[Equipment Effect 1 (Mourning): For every target killed, increase a designated attribute by 5%. Disappears after being out of combat for 30 seconds]

[Equipment Effect 2 (Soul Capture): Targets facing the wielder head-on will suffer Nether’s Intimidation, reducing their Physical Attack and Magic Attack by 40%]

[Equipment Effect 3 (Blood Drinking): 30% of the Life Value reduction dealt to the target is converted into your own Life Value recovery]

[Equipment Effect 4 (Elegy): Agility increases by 200% for 10 seconds. Each use consumes 60 Mana, cooling 20s]

Replacing [Asura], which increased All Attributes by 1%, with [Mourning], which increased a designated attribute by 5%, was undoubtedly more cost-effective for Yu Zhun. After all, among All Attributes, the only ones truly useful to Yu Zhun were Life Value, Physical Defense, and Magic Defense. Half of the buff from before was wasted.

With a designated attribute, Yu Zhun could boost what he needed based on the actual situation. In addition, the new effect [Elegy] also made up for Yu Zhun’s lack of burst potential.

This way, the original Nether Three-piece Set had been completely replaced with a more powerful Legendary Equipment set.

Looking at the Nether Series Legendary Equipment for the helmet and boots, a somewhat complicated look appeared on Yu Zhun’s face.

He hadn’t been using the Nether Series for these two Equipment slots before. His helmet was [Bloody Sacrifice], given to him by Little Brother, and its [Sanctuary] effect had once saved his life in the Nether Abyss.

His boots, [Praise of the Black King], possessed the Blood Lock effect [Flame Extinguishing]. Without it, Yu Zhun might not have successfully defeated Nether, the final boss.

Therefore, even though these two pieces of Equipment were only Epic tier, their powerful individual Equipment effects made them far more valuable to Yu Zhun than typical Epic items.

Could the Nether Series Equipment have such effects?

Yu Zhun couldn’t be sure.

Taking a deep breath, he reached both hands into the two light clusters simultaneously.

As lines of Equipment effects flashed before his eyes, the surprise and joy in his gaze grew stronger and stronger.

Finally, a brand-new helmet and pair of boots appeared before him.
