Chapter 107 - 106: Until the End of Life!
Chapter 107: Chapter 106: Until the End of Life!
"In 4A dungeons, there is a Red Name Mechanism," Yu Zhun murmured, his expression turning slightly serious as he read the rules. "Every time you kill a member of an Alien Race, your Red Name Value increases by one point. The Red Name Value will not reset when you leave the dungeon; it will continue to accumulate with every Alien Race kill in subsequent 4A dungeon runs. The Red Name Value cannot be hidden by any items.
"Furthermore, First-Turn and Second-Turn players have their respective Red Name Lists. Players with high Red Name Values will make it onto the list and draw everyone’s attention.
"In addition, after a 4A dungeon ends, whether cleared or not, surviving players will not leave immediately. Instead, they will temporarily enter a special space called the [Divine Demon Store]. There, players can exchange items using [Divine Demon Medals] or [Legendary Fragments]."
Yu Zhun’s eyes flickered. "However, the former can be exchanged for anything, while the latter can only be exchanged for Legendary Equipment. I never knew how to use Legendary Fragments before, but now I finally do."
He looked at his inventory, which surprisingly contained twenty-seven Legendary Fragments. As long as he could enter the [Divine Demon Store], these fragments would be enough to exchange for one piece of Level 35 Legendary Equipment, which was the tier above Red Equipment... Golden Equipment!
Continuing to read, Yu Zhun saw the rules for the 4A-level dungeon, [Nether Abyss]. His expression grew increasingly grave until he fell completely silent.
Later, at home.
"Yu Zhun! Yu Zhun!"
Coming home from school, Yu Zhu sniffed the air, her eyes instantly lighting up. "Why is dinner so lavish today? What’s the happy occasion?" She dropped her schoolbag and hurried to the dining table, her eyes growing even brighter. The table was full of dishes, all her favorites.
"Yeah, I achieved a perfect first clear of a new dungeon today and got a really good piece of equipment. We’re celebrating." Yu Zhun walked out of the kitchen, casually wiping his hands. "Go wash your hands."
"Oh~" Yu Zhu, who was just about to reach out and steal a bite, curled her lips. After washing her hands, she returned to the table and began eating with a look of utter satisfaction.
Yu Zhun took a couple of bites of rice and suddenly spoke. "Yu Zhuzhu..."
"What’s up?"
"How... are your studies going lately?"
"Huh?" Yu Zhu gave Yu Zhun a weird look. "That’s rare. You actually care about my studies for once."
"Just asking casually," Yu Zhun smiled nonchalantly.
"It’s just the usual," Yu Zhu replied just as nonchalantly. "I’m just the exceptionally ordinary grade-level rank one."
"That’s good." A hint of a smile touched the corners of Yu Zhun’s lips. "I remember you saying before... that you want to choose the Mage Profession when you enter the Divine Revelation World?"
"That was before." Yu Zhu shook her head vigorously. "I’ve changed my mind now. I want to be a Priest! I’m going to be the Priest with the strongest Healing! I’ve even thought about my First-Turn Profession. I’m going to choose the [Resurrection High Priest], which has the strongest Healing ability and can resurrect teammates!" Yu Zhu proudly puffed out her modest, flat chest. "When the time comes, all players will be begging me for heals!"
"A Priest..." A hint of surprise flashed through Yu Zhun’s eyes, and then he muttered softly, "Good thing I didn’t pick it."
"What did you say, Yu Zhun?"
"Nothing, let’s eat." Yu Zhun shook his head, quickly finishing the rice in his bowl, and stood up. "You clear the table."
"Okay~" Yu Zhu watched Yu Zhun’s retreating back, then suddenly reached her chopsticks toward the stir-fried shredded potatoes on the table. Stuffing a bite into her mouth, she muttered in a voice only she could hear, "He actually didn’t put in shredded ginger... Yu Zhun is definitely hiding something from me!"
Back in his room, Yu Zhun pulled open a drawer. In the corner lay a bank card and a letter. Inside the bank card was the five hundred million he had left for Yu Zhuzhu after enhancing his helmet to +20. If Yu Zhuzhu developed well in the Divine Revelation World in the future, this money could give her a better start. If she didn’t develop well, or even lost her qualifications... this money would be enough for her to live happily for the rest of her life.
Closing the drawer gently, Yu Zhun entered the Divine Revelation World. He selected the Priest Profession for the two pieces of Level 5 Master Level equipment of choice, one piece of Level 5 Epic equipment of choice, and the subsequent Level 10 equipment in his inventory. For his Level 5 Red Equipment, he chose a Priest’s Book, and for his Level 10 Red Equipment, he chose Armor.
"Since Yu Zhuzhu chose to be a Priest, she won’t be able to enter the [Nether Trial]," Yu Zhun thought, his eyes flashing thoughtfully. "I’ll also have to prepare Level 15 Epic accessories for her. Upgrading her weapon and Armor will be enough."
Quickly buying a corresponding piece of Red Equipment from the Trading House, Yu Zhun applied the [Plain Potion] to the eight prepared pieces of Priest equipment and tossed them into the equipment vault of the Divine Revelation Hall, setting the password to Yu Zhu’s birthday.
"This should be just about enough." Having arranged everything, Yu Zhun took a deep breath, took out the [Nether Abyss Invitation], and used it.
[Welcome to the hidden dungeon: Nether Abyss.]
[The dungeon rules are as follows:]
[1. All rewards within the dungeon are settled immediately.]
[2. Dying in the dungeon means dying in the real world.]
[3. Once the cross-server matchmaking count reaches the requirement, everyone will immediately enter the dungeon. Current matchmaking count: 87/100.]
[4. Before clearing the dungeon, no player can leave the dungeon.]
[Please kill everything that blocks your path until the end of your life!]
"Until the end of my life..." Yu Zhun murmured softly.
He had seen this phrase in the [Nether Trial]. After clearing it back then, he felt the phrase was somewhat exaggerated. Although the [Nether Trial] was difficult, he hadn’t experienced the "end of his life" at all. But now... before even entering the dungeon, he already felt an overwhelming sense of oppression.
In just a moment of daze, the matchmaking count had already changed to [89/100] and was still growing at an extremely fast pace. The dungeon qualifications that only appeared twice in a century on Blue Star seemed like the norm in the face of the unknown number of servers in Divine Revelation. And those joining the matchmaking were undoubtedly the cream of the crop among SSS-level talents who had successfully cleared the twenty-second floor of the [Nether Trial].
Zhu Zhe’s words echoed in Yu Zhun’s mind.
"Even in the Level 80 dungeons meant for the Strongest of Blue Star, it’s rare to see such brutal fighting."
"Then... bring it on!" Yu Zhun gripped [Nether’s Sigh] tightly, doing one last check of his inventory and equipment, his eyes locked onto the jumping matchmaking count.
[98/100]
[99/100]
[100/100]
[Matchmaking Successful.]
[Welcome to the [Nether Abyss] dungeon.]
[Server 45239 Player: Yu Zhun]
In the next instant, Yu Zhun disappeared from the [Godslayer] Guild’s base.
Meanwhile, inside the Divine Revelation Hall.
"Hall Master! The dungeon detection department has detected a special energy fluctuation in the Divine Revelation World and confirmed it is a hidden dungeon. The hidden dungeon is unnamed and has only appeared once in history. Its internal classification... Seven-color Level!"
Following the shout of the detection department staff member who pushed open the door, a dead silence fell over the highest main conference room of the Divine Revelation Hall.
"Hall Master, you called the seven of us here late at night..." Ji Ruoxu’s expression changed rapidly as he stared fixedly at Zhu Xiuming, who was seated at the head of the table. "Seven-color Level... This is the alert level corresponding to a dungeon for the Strongest, right? Don’t tell me the person currently raiding this unknown hidden dungeon is Sorn."
Zhu Xiuming’s eyes were calm, but the veins bulging on the back of his hand resting on the table revealed the unrest in his heart. "It’s not Sorn."
Everyone relaxed slightly, only for their hearts to jump to their throats the very next moment.
"It’s Yu Zhun," Zhu Xiuming spoke slowly. "He entered the Tier Two dungeon of the [Nether Trial]. A... 4A dungeon for un-transferred players."
"Un-transferred... 4A..." Ji Ruoxu’s expression changed drastically. "Did he clear the twenty-second floor? Why did you never mention this! Zhu Xiuming! Why didn’t you stop him!"
Ji Ruoxu’s eyes turned icy. Countless profound trajectories surged in his azure eyes, like the pupils of a God, staring fixedly at Zhu Xiuming.
Asoka had stood up from his seat at some point. Rampant, bloody light soared into the sky, and his crimson eyes brimmed with chilling killing intent. ℴ
Although the other five Strongest didn’t show anger, their gazes toward Zhu Xiuming were equally filled with disappointment and incomprehension.
"Because..." Zhu Xiuming’s expression remained calm, "this was the decision he made. Do you know why [Unrivaled Command] is the number one talent?" Zhu Xiuming calmly looked at everyone present. "It’s not because [Unrivaled Command] is so inherently powerful, but because I can unleash it to its ultimate limit. And all of this is because I have entered the [Nether Abyss]. There is something there that normal players could never possibly obtain."
Zhu Xiuming smiled self-deprecatingly. He wasn’t even a clearer. He was merely a surviving failure.
Looking at the crowd, whose momentum had subsided to reveal thoughtful expressions, Zhu Xiuming spoke softly.
"Believe in him."
