Chapter 449: Chapter 141: Just Which Junior Is Lynch’s Favorite!?

Seeing Grims look over, she softened her tone and continued, "Let me rest for a bit... That Tier Three Gnoll Shaman’s frost breath nearly froze me solid."

"Hahaha! Natalie, that Tidal Vortex you just used was brilliant!" a lightly-armored ronin warrior from the Northern Lands said with a laugh as he walked over.

His name was Frost Fang Liu Sheng, a man of mixed blood, born to the Northern Frost People and islanders from the east.

As he spoke, blood was still dripping from the two katanas in his hands, both of a distinctly eastern style.

Perhaps noticing this, he casually wiped the spines of the blades against the crooks of his elbows before sheathing them. Only then did he look at Natalie and continue, "If you hadn’t controlled that Shaman just now, Chief Airendra wouldn’t have had the chance to put an arrow through its throat."

"Alright, you two, quiet down. Don’t disturb the assistants while they’re tallying," a steady voice called out.

The speaker was "Thor," a barbarian Warrior from the Northern Lands who stood over two meters tall, clad in heavy animal hides and sporting a red beard.

He was carefully placing several unconscious classmates onto stretchers.

These students had their souls damaged by the Gnoll Chieftain’s roar during the final assault and had yet to awaken.

In the center of the crowd, Ailendra Moon Language was leaning against a simple wooden table, receiving healing from the team’s Priest via a Divine Art.

The half-Elf Chief looked quite battered.

Her once-silky, emerald-green hair was now matted with blood and grime. Several shallow scratches marked her pretty face, and her leather armor was torn in several places, revealing bleeding skin underneath.

But her eyes were shining with astonishing intensity. She tightly clutched a right ear, still trailing bits of flesh—it belonged to a Tier Four Gnoll Chieftain.

The assistant in charge of the tally looked at the enormous ear, his hands trembling slightly. "This is... Tier Four prey..."

"Stop wasting time and tally it." Although Airendra was exhausted, her tone was filled with pride. "It wasn’t just me. The others have trophies to show, too."

She pointed to Grims, Frost Fang, and Natalie.

The assistants hurried forward and began to carefully count and record everything.

"Grims Iron Fist, one Tier Three Gnoll right ear, three Tier Two Gnoll right ears..."

"Frost Fang Liu Sheng, one Tier Three Gnoll right ear, twelve Tier One Gnoll right ears..."

"Natalie Iz, one Tier Three Gnoll right ear..."

When it was time to tally Airendra’s kill, the assistant’s voice cracked. "Ai... Ailendra Moon Language, one Tier Four Gnoll Chieftain right ear! Point value confirmed... twenty thousand points!"

"Whoa!"

Gasps of amazement immediately filled the scoring station. Students from Silver Moon Academy and other examinees alike all instinctively turned to look, their gazes filled with awe.

Led by Airendra, they had just wiped out a powerful Jackal Wolfman Tribe entrenched on the edge of the black zone.

The battle had been incredibly difficult. They had used up almost all of their precious consumable items, including three Tier Four Defense Scrolls, two Frenzy Potions, and even a priceless "Thunderstone."

To block the Chieftain’s charge, Thor had taken three heavy blows head-on, and his internal organs were still aching. Natalie’s Sea of Spirit was nearly depleted, and the blade of Grims’s axe was blunted from the fight.

Several of their classmates were even still unconscious.

But regardless, they had won!

They had killed a Tier Four Chieftain, five Tier Three elites, and dozens of Tier One and Tier Two Gnoll Warriors. It was a hard-fought, undeniable victory—an honor they had risked their lives to earn!

"Haha! We can finally hold our heads high!" Grims said, pumping his fist in excitement. "Twenty thousand points! Add that to what we already had... the Chief’s total score must be close to thirty thousand now, right?"

"Definitely!" Frost Fang grinned, flashing his white teeth. "Let’s see those bastards from Hurst Academy try to catch up now. What we just did was a full-blown assault!"

Airendra said nothing, merely lifting her chin slightly, her eyes glinting with confidence.

’She wanted to use this absolute gap in power to show everyone who was truly number one!’

「Meanwhile, inside the central command tent.」

VMMMM!

A brilliant golden light suddenly erupted from the Magic Screen.

The Silver Moon Academy tutors, who had been looking dejected, all looked up at the change on the Magic Screen, their faces instantly breaking into ecstatic smiles.

"It’s rising! It’s rising!"

"Airendra’s score... My god, it jumped by twenty thousand in one go!"

"It’s not just her! Grims, Natalie, Frost Fang... all of their scores shot up!"

"Look at the rankings! Airendra has retaken first place! Her total score... twenty-eight thousand points!"

The entire tent erupted into an uproar.

The smiles returned to the faces of the Silver Moon Academy tutors, brighter than ever before.

Their elite students’ scores had just surged, with several of them clawing their way back into the top ten.

Ailendra Moon Language’s score, in particular, had skyrocketed by twenty thousand points, allowing her to reclaim the top spot with a total score approaching thirty thousand and pushing Lynch down to second place.

"Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!" the Elf tutor exclaimed, overcome with excitement. "Truly worthy of being Silver Moon Academy’s Chief. This is her true power!"

"Haha! It seems our worries were unfounded," another tutor, a Beastman, laughed heartily. "So much for Lynch and Hurst Academy. In the face of absolute power, they were just a flash in the pan."
