Chapter 448: Chapter 141: Who Exactly Is Lynch’s Favorite Female Junior?

Meanwhile, inside the black zone that the great Mage Buddy had expressly forbidden anyone to enter, several Purple Zombies had a Tier Four Gnoll Chieftain surrounded.

Lilith and her two companions were locked in a fierce, back-and-forth battle with two Tier Three Gnolls.

Eliot, Maurice, and even their junior, Charlotte, had each led their teams to split the Gnoll forces, creating smaller, individual battlefields where they were fiercely engaged in combat.

Individual Gnolls are very powerful; a healthy adult typically has the strength of a Tier One.

However, this also meant their numbers were far smaller than those of goblins or Fishmen.

After some time, Maurice’s team was the first to claim victory.

He had his Tier Two Black Corpse hold off a Tier Two Gnoll sub-chief while directing his classmates and Undead Units to eliminate the other Gnolls one by one.

Finally, they all ganged up to surround and kill the Tier Two Gnoll.

Gazing at the more than twenty corpses on the ground, Maurice and his group were moved to tears.

’This feels amazing! Absolutely amazing!’

A Tier One Gnoll was worth a hundred points, and a Tier Two was worth five hundred. Just this single haul added up to over three thousand points. Split among a dozen or so classmates, that was at least two or three hundred points each.

This level of efficiency was completely incomparable to raiding goblin or Fishman camps.

And that wasn’t even counting the loot.

Compared to the trinkets found in goblin and Fishman camps, the loot from a Gnoll camp was worth a fortune on its own.

Of course, reaping such rewards was only possible because they had Lynch leading them. He helped kill and pin down the Gnoll Chieftain and Shaman, and divided the battlefield so that each team only had to face a manageable number of enemies.

Otherwise, they would never have dared to provoke a Gnoll camp on their own.

Following Maurice’s team’s victory, Lilith and her group finally focused their fire to take down one Tier Three Gnoll, and then the other.

Those two Gnolls alone were worth six thousand points, which averaged out to two thousand points per person.

Besides, the test only required them to turn in the right ear for scoring, so all the other loot was theirs to keep.

The corpse of a single Tier Three Gnoll, whether sold to the academy’s Necromancers or directly to Lynch, was worth at least one to two thousand Gold Coins.

After them, the other teams also began to claim their victories.

As for Lynch, he casually cast a Bone Spear Skill that pierced the Gnoll Chieftain’s heart, killing it instantly.

This corpse was a Top Grade base material for refining a zombie, no weaker than the Corpse Demon had been in life. With enough time and materials, it could easily be turned into another Tier Four Purple Zombie.

And next to it lay the cold corpse of a Tier Three Peak Gnoll Shaman—also excellent material for creating a Skeleton Mage!

’Unfortunately, this is an examination ground, and a lot of eyes are watching.’

’Otherwise, I really would’ve liked to have a "talk" with that Shaman and Chieftain, to trick their ancestor Yenogu into coming here for me to kill.’

"Alright everyone, gather the loot and take a quick break. We’re heading to the next spot," Lynch announced. "Opportunities to safely farm monsters for cash right under our instructors’ noses are rare, so don’t waste it."

"Yes!"

Everyone, including Charlotte, was buzzing with excitement, and they collected the loot with renewed speed.

Time trickled by. Before they knew it, only two days remained until the end of the exam.

「At this time.」

At the edge of the red zone, a scoring station set up by the examination committee was a hive of activity.

Over a dozen similar scoring stations had been set up across the entire examination grounds, mostly located at the edges of the different zones and clearly marked on the students’ maps.

Their purpose was to provide the students with safe zones where they could turn in quest items, rest, and resupply.

After counting the quest items submitted by the students, examination assistants from the three academies would use Magic Guides to transmit the updated data back to the main camp, allowing for real-time updates on the Magic Screen in the central tent.

And right now, the assistants at this particular scoring station were extremely busy.

They were attending to a group of students from Silver Moon Academy. The students were covered in dirt and grime, many of them injured and wrapped in blood-soaked bandages. Despite this, their expressions were ecstatic, their eyes shining with the thrill of having survived a great ordeal.

"Hurry up and count them!"

A burly Half-Beastman Berserker was pacing impatiently around the assistant instructors, shouting nonstop.

His name was Grims Iron Fist, and he was the top student of Silver Moon Academy’s Warrior Series.

His muscular green skin was covered in scratches, and the blade of his massive, conspicuous axe was nicked and dented. Anyone could tell how fierce his previous battle had been.

He was clearly the restless type. When the assistant instructors ignored him, he couldn’t help but start boasting to his classmates. "We really struck it rich this time! The black zone... heheh. I never thought in my life I’d make it out of that godforsaken place alive!"

"Shut up, Grims. You’re giving me a headache."

Just as he was boasting, a crisp female voice cut in from the side.

The speaker was a young woman with long, aqua-blue hair, dressed in a blue mage’s robe.

She was Silver Moon Academy’s genius Water Mage, Natalie Iz.

She was sitting against the wall, her face pale as she rubbed her temples—a clear sign of excessive Spiritual Power consumption. Yet her expression was relaxed, and an irrepressible smile played on her lips.
