Leon sprinted toward the center of the Obsidian Spire.

The floating island culminated in a massive, open-air colosseum carved from black rock. As Leon crossed the threshold, the sky didn’t just darken—it turned pitch black. The ambient mana in the air grew so dense it felt like walking through water.

In the center of the arena stood a single, massive figure.

It wasn’t a boss. It was something else.

[Monster Detected: Abyssal Vanguard Knight]

[Level: 50]

[Type: Void-Touched Elite Marauder]

[Innate Talent: Spatial Lockdown, Absolute Strike]

Level 50.

A milestone level.

The Vanguard Knight was twelve feet tall, clad in armor made of shifting, starry void. It didn’t wield a traditional weapon. Its right arm ended in a massive, glowing blade of pure spatial distortion.

Ding!

[Spatial Lockdown has activated!]

[Dimensional travel, teleportation, and shadow-shifting are disabled in this zone.]

Leon immediately felt his connection to Wraith-Step sever. The shadow plane was locked out. He couldn’t teleport.

"No running," Leon said, a feral, exhausted smile touching his lips. "Fine by me."

The Knight didn’t roar. It didn’t posture. It simply vanished, moving with a burst of pure physical speed that rivaled Leon’s Gale Weaver.

It reappeared directly in front of Leon, bringing the spatial blade down in a devastating arc.

Absolute Strike. A guaranteed hit.

Leon didn’t try to dodge. He couldn’t.

"Aegis of the Void!"

He ripped the fabric of space open with his left hand. The Diamond-Rank shield flared to life.

The spatial blade slammed into the Aegis. The resulting collision of dimensional forces was catastrophic. The shockwave blew the floor of the colosseum to dust, cratering the floating island. The Aegis groaned, the Diamond-Rank skill struggling against the sheer, overwhelming power of a Level 50 Elite’s innate talent.

The Aegis shattered.

But it had done its job. It absorbed 95% of the kinetic force.

The remaining 5% struck Leon squarely in the chest.

Obsidian Carapace cracked. His Fanghide Battleplate shattered entirely, durability reduced to zero. Leon was thrown backward, crashing into the colosseum wall with bone-breaking force.

Ding!

[HP: 240/1,800 - CRITICAL WARNING!]

It was the hardest he had been hit since entering Eternal Heaven. A single, mitigated strike had nearly killed him.

But Leon wasn’t dead.

"Aura of the Undying," Leon gasped, pushing himself out of the rubble.

The SS-Rank talent flared. A massive pulse of golden vitality erupted from his core. His shattered ribs snapped back into place. His ruptured organs sealed. His HP bar shot from 240 back to 1,800 in less than three seconds. Perfect Body flushed the residual pain from his nervous system instantly.

The Vanguard Knight paused, tilting its featureless helmet as if confused by the prey that refused to die.

"My turn," Leon roared.

He didn’t use magic. The Knight was heavily resistant to it. He needed raw, unadulterated physical destruction.

He activated Gale Weaver, compressing all the air in the arena directly behind his back.

He pushed off the wall. The compressed air detonated, launching him forward at a speed that shattered the sound barrier. A sonic boom echoed across the abyss.

He closed the distance in a millisecond.

He gripped the Bloodfang Edge with both hands, channeling every ounce of his 70 Strength into the blade.

"Gorgon’s Decree!"

He blasted the Knight point-blank with the deathless petrification, aiming specifically for the joints of its spatial blade arm. The void armor calcified, freezing the arm in place for exactly one second.

One second was all he needed.

"Verlimon’s Judgment!"

He swung the sword.

Ding!

[Bloodfang Edge: Severance Effect triggered! Critical Proc!]

The Platinum wind crescent, infused with the pitch-black true-damage effect, slammed into the calcified joint. The blade didn’t just cut; it erased the space it occupied.

The spatial blade arm was severed cleanly, falling to the arena floor and dissolving into void energy.

The Knight staggered backward, completely off balance.

Leon didn’t stop. He pressed the advantage, unleashing a flurry of strikes.

Slash! Slash! Slash!

Every time the sword connected, the Corrosive Edge melted more of the void armor. Every time Tremor Impact detonated, the shockwaves ruptured the Knight’s internal mana core.

The Vanguard Knight raised its remaining hand, trying to cast a desperate spell.

"Alpha’s Roar!"

Leon screamed point-blank into the creature’s face. The concussive blast of intimidation disrupted the cast, staggering the Knight one final time.

Leon reversed his grip on the Bloodfang Edge, driving it upward, directly under the Knight’s chin, piercing through the helmet and up into its brain case.

"Die."

He twisted the blade. Severance Effect triggered one final time.

The Vanguard Knight shuddered violently, then exploded into a massive pillar of purple light, its body dissolving into the abyss.

Leon hit the ground, landing on both feet, his chest heaving violently.

He looked at the timer.

00:00:12

Twelve seconds left.

Ding!

Ding!

[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 50!]

[You have gained 5 Stat Points and 2 Evolution Points.]

The golden light of the level up washed over him, completely restoring his stamina and mana.

Level 50.

He had started the day at Level 27. He had gained twenty-three levels in twelve hours.

00:00:00

Ding!

[Notice: Unprecedented Achievement Reward Expired.]

[The 10X EXP multiplier has concluded. Standard progression rates resumed.]

Leon slowly lowered his sword, letting out a long, ragged exhale. The adrenaline was finally leaving his system, replaced by a profound, hollow exhaustion. He had pushed his mind and body to the absolute breaking point, dancing on the edge of death for half a day straight.

But it was done.

He looked at the spot where the Vanguard Knight had died.

Ding!

[Lucky Fate has activated!]

[An extraordinarily rare, spatial-tier drop has been detected.]

[Abyssal Vanguard Knight has dropped: 250,000 Eternal Coins, 1 Void Core (Mythic Material), 1 Greater Teleportation Stone (Consumable Artifact).]

Leon’s eyes locked onto the final item in the list.

He walked forward, picking up a smooth, multifaceted crystal that pulsed with a soft, blue light.

[Greater Teleportation Stone]

[Rank: Diamond (Consumable)]

[Description: A crystallized fragment of spatial law. Upon crushing this stone, the user can instantly teleport to any previously visited Safe Zone or major Settlement within the current Realm, regardless of distance, spatial lockouts, or combat status. Single use.]

Leon stared at the stone, a slow, relieved smile breaking across his exhausted face.

He was deep in the heart of Sector 4’s most dangerous endgame zone. The Spatial Lockdown of the arena had faded with the Knight’s death, but navigating his way back through the petrified forests, the Crimson Mire, and the Ashen Canyons on foot would take days. Days he didn’t want to spend walking.

He was covered in dried monster blood, his gold-rank armor was completely shattered, and he was mentally drained. ℯℯ𝑙.

He wanted another hot bath.

"Well," Leon murmured, tossing the Teleportation Stone into the air and catching it. "I’d say that was a productive twelve hours."

He crushed the stone in his grip.

A pillar of soft blue light erupted from his hand, enveloping his body in a warm, spatial embrace. The shattered colosseum, the bottomless abyss, and the overwhelming silence of the Obsidian Spire faded away.

Leon Wes vanished from the endgame zone, a Level 50 Adept on day thirteen, leaving behind a trail of devastation that the system would not soon forget.
