Chapter 711: The Library of Alexandria ?
"Since... you agreed this is a date," Primordia said with a cheeky smile. "Then why not let me choose our next stop?"
Ash tilted his head as they soared higher through the vibrant red sky.
"What do you have in mind?" he asked, curiosity threading through his voice.
Primordia’s eyes sparkled with mischief.
"It’s a surprise," she replied, wagging a finger at him. "And don’t you dare spoil it by peeking into my mind!"
With that, she took the lead, guiding them across the expansive landscape of rolling plains and ancient forests.
----
After a while, the wind began to carry the faint metallic tang of forge-smoke as they descended toward a sprawling domain nestled between two majestic, snow-capped mountains.
Though, what awaited wasn’t a simple blacksmith’s forge, but a vast, open-air weapon convention — a bustling gathering that stretched across an enormous valley filled with countless stalls, arenas for testing, and towering display platforms.
This was the true nature of the Source of Expansion.
At some point, one might have wondered how things really worked—if the Reader’s faction was entirely united toward a single purpose and incapable of dying, what did their everyday lives look like?
Well, they spent their days locked in fierce wagers, testing their strength and skill in battles that were as brutal as they were breathtaking.
Yet, despite the intensity of these clashes, it was never senseless destruction, but something far more purposeful.
Every conflict, every wager, every transaction revolved around one ultimate prize: more absolute powers.
In the Source, the real currency wasn’t gold or mana stones, but the thrill of unlocking new abilities, wielding stronger weapons, and harnessing ever more overpowered powers.
These were the treasures everyone chased, the kind of gains that could tip the balance of any battle and prepare them for their true conquest.
-----
The convention buzzed with life under the red sky.
Hundreds of Primedivas moved between stalls, examining legendary weapons pulled from across all of fiction and beyond.
There were swords like Excalibur and Stormbringer gleaming on display racks, spears reminiscent of Gungnir, cursed blades from dark fantasies, glowing zanpakuto, and even stranger creations.
Things like living weapons that whispered promises of dominion, gauntlets that could shatter realities, and artifacts so bizarre they defied easy description.
Primordia giggled delightedly as she latched onto Ash’s arm, pressing close with playful affection.
"This is the perfect place to show me off, Master," she purred, her long red-and-lavender hair swaying as she looked up at him.
"And you can turn whatever catches your eye into true Divine Cosmic Weapons."
Ash smiled, the infinity tattoo beneath his eye seeming to glimmer faintly.
He intended to craft most of his own Divine Cosmic Weapons, creations that would rival the sheer brokenness of Codex powers.
The thought alone sparked a flood of intriguing possibilities in his mind, each more outrageous than the last.
With a low chuckle, he simply said, "Why not?"
-----
Away from the bustling weapon convention, high above the vibrant plains of the Source of Expansion, four women floated lazily in the sky.
They watched as streams of Primedivas moved in and out of a grand, ancient structure below — the Library of All.
Its towering marble columns and vast halls gleamed under the four suns, a breathtaking fantasy incarnation of lost wonders, its shelves said to hold echoes of every story ever told across fiction.
Ancestor Seeker, with her long brown hair and warm, deceptively simple beauty, hovered with relaxed ease.
Beside her floated Aurelia, her red-golden hair shimmering like living flame, with her faint phoenix features giving her an ethereal edge.
Aurora drifted nearby, her white-and-blue hair swaying gently, golden eyes sparkling with nine black rings that seemed to hold entire galaxies.
Finally, Luna, with her bright yellow-golden hair and matching eyes, completed the group, arms crossed in quiet amusement.
Luna shook her head, casting a wary glance at Seeker.
"Do you even realize what you’ve brought along with us this time?" she asked, referring to Aurelia and Aurora, fully aware that whenever those two teamed up, trouble was never far behind.
Seeker chuckled quietly, tucking a loose strand of brown hair behind her ear.
"What... destruction or chaos? It’s basically the family’s motto as far as I know" she replied with an easy smile.
Aurelia grinned mischievously and drifted behind Seeker, wrapping her arms around her in a sudden hug.
Her hands playfully grabbed Anna’s breasts, squeezing with teasing affection.
"Fufufu look at you, catching on so fast~"
Pah!
Seeker’s cheeks flushed bright red.
"Hey!" She slapped Aurelia’s hands away, though there was no real heat behind it.
"I-I’m not that comfortable yet!"
Even after being in the family for a few eras now, Ancestor Seeker still hadn’t grown into the whole family dynamic between the wives.
Aurora burst into bright laughter at the display, her golden eyes crinkling with pure fun.
"Mother Aurelia, I actually have a plan for this Library. It’s from one of those old tales Daddy told me once."
Hearing those words... Aurelia’s smile turned sharp and delighted.
"Oh? Now we’re talking."
Without another word, the two of them vanished in a flicker of power, off to whatever delightful trouble they had just cooked up.
As they disappeared, Luna reached over and gently took Seeker’s hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"Well... we might as well enjoy our time here while we have it."
----
The two women descended gracefully, landing just outside the grand entrance of the Library of All.
In a soft shimmer of power, their outfits shifted into something scholarly yet cute.
Seeker now wore a fitted cream-colored blouse with delicate embroidery and a flowing dark skirt that swayed elegantly with each step, while Luna’s attire became a soft golden off-shoulder top paired with flowing pants and subtle scholarly accents.
They stepped inside together, the vast halls opening up before them.
Towering shelves stretched into seemingly endless heights, filled with glowing scrolls and tomes that hummed with collected knowledge.
The air carried the rich scent of aged parchment, ink, and faint conceptual energy.
Almost immediately, they noticed a large crowd gathered in one of the central debate halls.
At the center stood a heated knowledge duel.
On one side was a young woman with sharp features and nervous determination.
On the other stood Alex Prime — heir of the Prime Branch.
His long, flowing white hair cascaded down his back like fresh snow, and his piercing green eyes gleamed with calm arrogance.
The surrounding atmosphere was oddly... tense.
Scholars and collectors pressed close, murmuring bets and commentary while a shimmering barrier kept the duel contained.
However, what was going on was not an ordinary argument — it was a Knowledge Duel, where participants fired difficult questions about fictions and novels across all realities.
The first unable to answer correctly would forfeit the power they had wagered.
Seeker and Luna approached just in time to hear the climax.
Alex Prime’s smooth voice rang out, "Final question for you: In the fantasy starring a certain Supreme Harem God, what is the name of the woman who became his first wife?"
The young woman faltered, searching desperately for the answer before shaking her head in defeat. A collective groan and cheer rose from the crowd.
Alex Prime smiled serenely as the wagered power — a swirling orb of conceptual insight — flowed from the young woman into him.
"Heh... Well, that was a valiant effort. Next?"
The scholars scanning the crowd for the next challenger paused when their eyes landed on Seeker. A ripple of recognition spread through the hall.
"May I?"
Without hesitation, Ancestor Seeker stepped forward into the dueling circle, a small, confident smile playing on her lips as the crowd’s attention shifted fully onto her.
