Chapter 468: Ten Lucky Draws: I Became OP

[A/N: Read before Chapter 466 and after 467!]

For the next six months, Ash and the spirits did nothing but lay back while reading.

Creara, of course, had finished with what Ash wanted to create.

And it was a functioning nonexistence, but like always it wasn’t anything like what could be found outside.

Nonexistence of Pantheos was termed the Underside.

This was all because it was the true underside of everything in Pantheos, and it would also be the place that held Abyssal Dimensions and creatures like Demons and Devils.

The Underside looked deceptively normal at first glance.

It was a vast, quiet land of white grasses that swayed gently under a soft, silver-gray sky. Rolling hills stretched endlessly, dotted with clusters of pale, glowing flowers that never wilted.

Crystal-clear streams meandered through the meadows, sometimes mirroring the deep blue sky, other times offering faint glimpses of what lay beyond.

There were massive, white-barked trees that stood tall in the deserted underside.

All in all, despite the name of the place, it was peaceful—at least for the time being.

That peace wouldn’t last, as it would soon be filled with people and other beings.

Still, the true purpose of this place was tied entirely to the final champion. As mentioned before, Ash could clearly see what he was, as well as why that last wave of nonexistence felt so different from his wives’.

The final champion, Wane, seemed to be the complete opposite of Ash, at least from what Ash could gather.

From the clues he’d pieced together, he believed Wane had his own verse—or perhaps a bubbling one.

While Pantheos had first birthed existence, Ash suspected Wane’s verse had first birthed nonexistence, which explained why his power over it was so much purer.

This was why, whenever a Nelun died, they would reform with traits of existence.

Through battle or any encounter with existence, they would edge closer to becoming a true bridge between Existence and Nonexistence.

Just like the Unus…

This connected to the Underside because, while the Unus could freely manipulate nonexistence, they never had a true source that let them harness it at full strength.

Until now, the Underside was simply the origin of Nonexistence for all Unus, allowing them to channel its purest form.

And currently, Ash lay on his back in the soft white grass of the Underside.

The Codex floated above him, pages turning slowly on their own as he read. The four of them continued to read for a few more hours until Ash reached the end of the current Chapters.

As the Codex vanished, he sat up with a face full of conflict.

“Tsk,” He scoffed as he stood up beginning to walk through the new land of the Underside.

After reading there was way too much to uncover, from the revelation of schemes being laid… to things he only now paid more attention to.

But above it all, he couldn’t help but wonder…

“Is it even possible to be completely free?” He finally questioned. “It’s obvious that everything is apart of some greater narrative that’s not even completed.”

In this moment, none of the spirits spoke… as they could feel his emotions were becoming a bit turbulent.

And usually, they would be able to offer some sort of advice, but in this moment, they were just as stumped as he was.

From the start, omnipotence… boundlessness and freedom… that’s always been the goal. But now, they couldn’t help but think…

“At this point… I’m not even sure if becoming boundless is enough.” Elysia muttered.

If everything was all a part of a larger narrative, if everything they’d accomplished and been through up till now was all written and planned.

Who’s to say the final stage of power wasn’t the same?

“FUCK!” Ash roared.

In that moment, one of his passive abilities took effect.

It was one that quite literally had nothing to do with empowering him, not in this moment at least. But instead, it was something that made his mood be reflected all across Pantheos.

—-

All across Pantheos, no matter the world, star, galaxy or whatever it may be….

The skies of began to weep blood.

And it was not one color, but many — crimson, violet, gold, and black — all raining down in thick, heavy drops that stained any and everything it touched.

CRACKLE!!!!

CRACKLE!!!!!

Immediately after rain began to fall…

Different colors of lightning struck without warning — jagged bolts of searing white, deep black, and bright red — cracking the skies and even voids open and leaving scorched scars that refused to heal.

CLANG!

CLANG!

CLANG!

Then high above it all, a colossal throne materialized in the skies above anyone who looked upwards.

It was massive, forged from black obsidian and bound by countless heavy chains that wrapped around its arms, legs, and back — chains that rattled and strained as if something immense was trying to break free.

At that moment, not a single inhabitant of Pantheos could comprehend the phenomenon.

They had no way of knowing Ash was simply angry, nor could they realize that the throne merely reflected his current mood.

Even still, the beings of Pantheos looked up in terror as the feeling of the phenomena brought them endless dread.

Some dropped to their knees immediately; foreheads pressed to the ground as they prayed.

“The Creator… the Creator is angry!”

“Forgive us!”

Others panicked, running through the streets as the blood rain soaked them.

“What the hell is happening?!”

“Is this the end? Armageddon?!”

The panic spread like wildfire across every corner of Pantheos.

In a random universe within Pantheos, Nia and Shia were walking through a quiet meadow filled with glowing flowers.

The two had been spending the last few months together before they decided to go outside.

The moment it started, they stopped in their tracks. Unlike the beings of Pantheos, they—and everyone linked to Ash—could sense his emotions spiraling into chaos.

Nia’s eyes widened, her easygoing expression vanishing in a heartbeat.

“Ashy…?”

Beside her, Shia’s face went pale as she frowned.

Without a word, both vanished in a swirl of light, racing straight to Ash.

And it wasn’t just them—every one of his wives and children followed.
