Chapter 399: The Gears Turn (2) – A Game?

After sending Vaeloria away, Ash stood in his usual baggy clothes.

The permanent infinity earring still hung from his ear, and the symbol beneath his eye glowed faintly as he pondered.

Well, not exactly by himself…

“Well, no sense wondering what’s to come… let’s just see,” he said, taking a single blink.

In that moment, he shifted his focus to the outside world, just to uncover the cause of the strange feeling that had been lingering lately.

During his time of growth and enjoyment with Vaeloria, the sense that something significant was coming kept gnawing at him.

Unlike most times, he wasn’t planning to simply wait for it to arrive and deal with it then. No—he was far too strong to act without making preparations.

|One Sight (Above Origin)|

The world around him dissolved.

Time unfolded before him like an open book — not in seconds, but in sweeping waves of vision that compressed a full millennium into moments he could fully perceive.

He found himself inside the sixth Dimension… which was not much in itself. But in just a month’s time….

The Ending of the Cycle arrived without warning.

It was only like a silent ripple that washed over everything.

In the Lower Dimensions, every being below Cosmic Overlord rank simply… stopped.

Their bodies froze mid-motion, souls unraveling into golden motes that faded into nothingness.

Billions upon billions perished in an instant — entire kingdoms, sects, and civilizations collapsing as their populations were wiped clean.

The survivors watched in horror… while some watched with no emotion at all as the cosmos around them reset.

In the Middle Dimensions, the same fate struck everyone below Dimensional Overlord.

Cities that had stood for eons vanished in the blink of an eye, their inhabitants erased as if they had never existed.

Though… those who had the chance to flee, they fled to lower dimensions in panic…

In the High Dimensions, things were much more tamed.

Eternal Saints and above watched as everyone beneath their rank was culled without mercy. And this was something happening across each and every organism,

It was the ending of times…. and every plane of Existence fell into absolute uproar.

And through it all…. Ash watched it all in perfect clarity only sitting in the void.

“Now…. one thing for certain.” he muttered, “The ending of the cycle was not this close.”

Though he himself didn’t truly keep track of the Cycle, he knew such things by default. With his near endless knowledge, he knew this event was still nearly a billion years off.

“It was those hands, Master.” Unara said perched on his head.

His eyes narrowed and he continued to watch. Like mentioned before the Oculus Unus, were far above the previous Eyes of First Dawn.

And though he was experiencing it like a simulation now, it was by preference. Because in the next moment, his visioned twist and turned.

Then, he found himself back inside the Library of True Reality.

It was something that should’ve been impossible—this place could only be entered when it was opened, which happened only in the presence of the Ancestor Seeker.

Yet this time, as he returned, there was no tension, no crushing headaches.

After all, he was now a God Emperor, and his powers and advantages had grown far beyond what they were the last time he stood here.

“Unara… find all information on what’s happening currently. Creara, go find something interesting in that Organism book. Elysia—”

Before he could even give her an order, she disappeared from his shoulder.

“Shh, I know. I’ll go find whatever is interesting.” She teased causing him to shake his head.

He began to walk, eyes scanning the towering shelves.

With a mere thought, he reached out with his mind and pulled a single book from a high shelf far ahead.

It flew through the air and landed gently in his hand.

The title, written in the same shifting script of True Reality, read:

Wars on Reality

The book felt warm in his palm, almost alive. Ash opened it slowly, the pages turning on their own as golden text began to reveal itself.

“**** is not one.

It is nine.

Nine separate — each one a complete…. They are not layered like the Heavens, nor nested like dimensions. They are the same, born from the same absolute, yet kept deliberately apart by walls of the same absolute.

They have warred before.

They will war again.

The current separation is maintained by a single, fragile equilibrium

the accumulation of ***** and the presence of ****** across the connected realms. When the threshold is reached — when enough ***** gathered and enough ***** ascended — the walls between the Nine will shatter.

The ***** will begin.

Not for *****.

Not for *****.

But for supremacy…”

—–

The more Ash read, the more the words seemed to blur, and the text grew increasingly vague.

Before he could turn the page, the book abruptly snapped shut in his hands. In the next instant, it vanished, just as a calm voice spoke.

“Quite the curious child, aren’t you?” Raising a brow, Ash turned around.

There, Ancestor Seeker stood a few paces away, hands clasped behind her back, long brown hair flowing gently as if stirred by an invisible breeze.

Her warm brown eyes regarded him with quiet amusement.

Luna stood slightly behind her, yellow hair and eyes bright with interest.

“You… somehow have unrestricted access to my, Library,” Ancestor Seeker continued, her tone light but carrying an undercurrent of genuine curiosity.

“Maybe, you are a bigger enigma than I thought.”

She took one slow step closer.

“So, tell me, Ash Originat… what exactly are you planning to do with what you just saw?”

Seeing these two women, Ash didn’t panic not one bit. In fact, he was already smiling one at the fact that well, he was gaining affection.

Albeit very slowly.

[The Seeker’s Affection 1%]

[Luna Gilbert’s Affection 3%]

And as he spoke, he scanned them.

“You speak as if you know that I’ve seen something?” He then shrugged, “I mean in my eyes, everything was too blurred too incomprehensible.”

He lied with an enchanting smile as if it was natural.
