Chapter 205: A Thousand Ways to....

Chapter 205: A Thousand Ways to….

Turning an entire Galaxy into a pinball machine?

It was ridiculous but as the entire Nocturne Galaxy had been wrecked, leaving no world, star or anything that even resembled a celestial body… It was empty, well aside from one world.

It was the biggest of them all and it still stood untouched.

Not because of some barrier or because they stood far above the others… No, simply because a certain man had been pissed off and with that, he had a change of plans.

Nocturne First Prime… The Main world of the Eternal Nocturne Clan, like always it sat covered in dark towers, oceans of black ichor and more… It looked as it always did… aside from the fact that every Elder, Ancestor, and even the Crown Princess, they all were in a tense situation.

Gathered inside of the throne room, they were watching a display of their very own Galaxy…

Ash hadn’t displayed the Livestream to this Galaxy, but with them being the rulers, it was not hard for them to check on their own domain.

Yet, as they looked, they could see nothing… literally.

“J…just what happened in the past hour?” An elder murmured, his voice trembling as he stared at the void where stars and worlds had once been.

No one responded… because not even they knew. In this room there were about 14 people… all in the Cosmic Overlord rank, albeit Early with stage 1-3 precepts.

“The Patriarch and Matriarch will have our heads if we don’t fix this nonsense.” Rebecca Nocturne, the Crown princess said, her voice sharp but laced with fear.

“An entire Galaxy… gone in hours?” Another Ancestor whispered, hands shaking as he clutched his staff. “This isn’t war… this is annihilation.”

“We should activate the eternal seals,” an Elder suggested desperately. “Recall every branch clan, every force—”

“And face whatever did this with what?” Rebecca snapped. “We felt nothing. No aura, no warning. Just… emptiness.”

It was true, and Ash had done it on purpose. If not for Vesper’s actions and the presence of the two women on this world, it would have been destroyed along with everything else.

Silence felt heavy as they all stared at the blank display, the weight of their impending doom settling like cold iron on their chests.

While they chatted trying to find ways to fix their Galaxy that was approaching its ending…

Outside of it, two people had appeared a while ago. Ash and Raven stood concealed using their Hollowness, and as they did neither had talked.

Raven could tell Ash was pissed like no other… and since Elysia had said to go with the flow, that’s what she’d been doing. However, she couldn’t help but break the silence.

“My love… what is the issue?”

Ash closed his eyes, but before he could speak… Elysia’s voice rang in his head.

[Master… before you speak, you should see this. However, before you lash out, just know they are all safe, each in places where they will be able rise fast.] she said before memories from the other sub nexuses flowed into his mind.

Of course, it was the most recent events that had happened outside of the Conclave… It was a reason Ash hadn’t felt they were in trouble this time and that was because the connection between them all had been dulled.

It was done by the nexuses, but it was for a good reason…

The Originats needed to feel the immensity of the world of Cultivation…

They needed to see just how quick they could lose their head, be humiliated, and/or worse.

Also, with Elysia knowing they could be evacuated it was nothing to stress about…

Once again, the nexus is meant to push them to perfection… to the peak of themselves.

And with that… arrogance is something that needed to be kept in check.

Seeing all of this entering his mind… Ash snapped… Quite literally, and the guy he had yet another change of plans.

“Ha… Haha” He began to laugh… it was hollow… carrying not a speck of emotion.

First, he planned to kill these people in the cruelest way possible.

He would single handedly bring this world to its ending… very poetic to the viewers.

Yet, in this moment as his laugh sounded hollow…

Knowing what he was thinking, Elysia sent messages to select people through the nexus… Then he swiped at space. Once he did, five people walked through the portal.

Sylvie, Mira, Lithia, Diana, and Kaelthyr…

Kaelthyr himself he didn’t know what the hell was going on, but seeing Sylvie finally leaving he decided to end his seclusion as well. Well, it had long stopped being seclusion as he was already Peak Cosmic Overlord with a stage 6 precept.

The Four Valkyries though… they knew only one thing… It was time to earn their keep.

They approached in identical armor, it was all white with pink in some areas… Along with an infinity symbol branded on the chest. As they kneeled in front of him their voice sounded at once.

“Master.”

Ash didn’t speak instead he swiped at space once more… Then a countless number of women began flooding through the portal until the void nearly looked crammed from the live broadcast. Seeing all of this Ash finally spoke.

“This world… destroy it. It needs to be done slowly, leave nothing breathing, nothing standing.”

His words were so emotionless that even Raven shuddered a bit.

She knew she couldn’t do much at this point… She was a monster but still was lacking in rank. Though she could no doubt beat a Cosmic Overlord using her full power… it was not something sustainable.

Partially because of her outlook on power.

Ash then looked at Sylvie.

“Sylvie, you are specifically tasked to find the Crimson Abyss and retrieve these two.” As he said that he transported images directly to her mind.

Then he waved his hand sending them all towards the Nocturne Prime World… billions of Cosmic Overlords.

Ash then turned back to Raven with eyes that were nearly dead… hollow couldn’t even describe it.

“Vesper Nocturne… He had the audacity to torture… and even rape… Katherine and Summ…er” His voice cracked a bit… As he truly didn’t want to do anymore talking however, he wouldn’t keep Raven in the dark.

“Not only that… this bastard… He trampled upon my closest people… even spitting into my Nia’s face… Ha…hahaa!”

“THAT BASTARD ACTUALLY DARES!” He exclaimed so loud that the very fabrics of the Nocturne Galaxy began to rip.

Raven’s eyeless pupils shook hearing this… Although she had no emotions, no feelings… through Ash and only him she could feel. So currently, she felt as if needles were piercing at her heart…

[A/N: I know that line about her emotions seems a bit repetitive… Just thought it was needed once again so it won’t be any confusion about her Hollowness.]

“Katherine… Summer?” She muttered.

Ash, he didn’t respond though. And to all the viewers who were currently watching they were in complete disbelief… Especially Vesper.

He along with every sect were still outside the world of the Conclave.

It hadn’t been but an hour or two since the Originats had been evacuated. However, with such a mythical scene of Ash displaying across worlds… across Galaxies. No one could pull away and Vesper himself was stood rooted like a statue.

Before he thought it was all some trick… some illusion but the longer it went on, the more real he knew it was to be. Then, when Ash began speaking of current events his heart nearly jumped out of his chest.

Then seeing so many women appear….

Billions of Cosmic Overlords?

It was ridiculous…

’Shit… I need to escape immediately.’ He thought… something he should’ve done the moment the livestream began.

Yet, before he could even move…

A wooden door appeared right before him and as he instinctively took a step backwards, Ash walked directly through it.

And the moment he did… aside from activating his Verdict… He kept talking to the minimum.

|Verdict of The Unwritten|

“There will be no powers used in my mana sense… none but mine.”

HUMMMM!

The entire Venia Galaxy flickered like a dying flame as it felt like all the mana had dropped to a point it was hard to even intake it.

Ash then sat down as he did a throne appeared behind him.

His eyes coldly looked at the Vesper who was standing rooted in place… Much like everyone else, even though they couldn’t use mana, they were still in their ranks which would still allow them to walk in space.

This would not be a battle by any means… Vesper, he didn’t deserve the glory of matching blows with Ash, not one bit. No, this would be a statement, one that went far beyond him wiping out worlds…

One might wonder, just how could one person amount to billions…

Yet, as Ash begun… every viewer instinctively gulped.

A transparent box that was easily 50 million KM encased Vesper.

The moment it did, act one started.

The box was something that would adapt to whatever Ash wished… and currently he wished to start small.

The box began to be filled up with Acid… no mere Acid but the kind infused with the concept of endings… and eternity.

HISSS!!!

Vesper’s porcelain skin began to bubble and hiss the moment the acid touched it—flesh melting in slow, agonizing layers, revealing raw muscle beneath that sizzled and blackened, blood boiling as it mixed with the corrosive fluid.

“ARGHHHH!!!!!”

He screamed—a raw, guttural howl that echoed through the void—as organs liquefied and dripped from his dissolving torso, bones gleaming white through the carnage, eyes bursting in their sockets as acid ate through nerves and sinew.

The pain was endless, every nerve ending firing in perpetual agony, his body reforming through eternity only to melt again—skin sloughing off in sheets, heart exposed and beating frantically before dissolving into sludge, screams turning to gurgling chokes as lungs filled with burning fluid.

Ash watched this all coldly and with the main orb still hovering behind him… the entire Venia Galaxy had front row seats to this.

After Vesper was melted down to the bones… eternity kicked in, until he was reverted anew… Inside of the box filled with acid… It went on like this… not for hours, but days. Ash had nothing but time… and he would enjoy it well.

On the fourth day, the acid was dematerialized.

Then the second act begun… What’s one thing all Vampires love so dearly?

It was blood of course… and looking at Vesper, Ash could see his desires clearly.

So, act two began with a fountain of blood appearing inside of the box. Seeing this Vesper didn’t even bother looking… at this point he wasn’t being so defiant, being so unruly… he looked broken.

Yet, his pain hadn’t truly even begun.

Seeing he wouldn’t budge… Ash spoke in a tone laced with desires… He outright manipulated him.

“Go on. DRINK!” He said causing Vesper’s body to move with a mind of its own. He walked to the fountain and begun drinking the blood with intensity.

At first, it was ecstasy—the richest, purest blood he had ever tasted, warm and thick, flooding his veins with power beyond imagination, strength surging through him like liquid fire, wounds healing, rank climbing as if centuries of cultivation poured in at once.

“Ha! Who in their right mind gives a prisoner power?!”

His defiance surged back—he snarled, fists tightening as a rush of invincibility filled him, slamming against the encasement with renewed force—CRACK! CRACK!—fractures splintering across the clear barrier.

But just as his fist connected for the third strike, he froze—body locking as billions of parasites erupted from his blood, tiny writhing things burrowing into organs, gnawing through muscle and bone with wet, tearing sounds.

“AGHHHHH!”

He let out a sharp, piercing cry as they consumed him from within—his heart torn apart, lungs giving way, bones snapping under countless tiny bites.

Death took him again and again, only for eternity to drag him back, the parasites restoring themselves to begin their feast once more.

After days of this… his pores burst open, birthing clones—not of himself, but grotesque male creatures of various races, faces blurred and bloody, emerging slick and hungry from his paling skin as he withered, bloodless and drained.

“Since you seem to enjoy such things, then deal with it yourself,” Ash said, his tone sending chills down the spine.

As they appeared… they turned on him… then as Ash’s covered his eyes with a blindfold… An unspeakable violation could be heard and seen by all watching. Although Ash could be ruthless… he had no desires to watch men…

For two months straight the entire Venia Galaxy witnessed Vesper being tortured in all sorts of ways… Ways they didn’t know even existed… And when the end of the second month finally came, the encasement broke.

Ash stood up as his throne disappeared…

Then he began using his nature of desire to manifest two items… It was an odd thing to note, that Ash hadn’t been using his Titles as much recently… After he reached a state of Harmony within himself… One question appeared in his mind.

’What is the need of the titles anyways?’

If one were to think about it…

He was always the Original Desire even before he got the title…

Which meant things could be manifested according to his desires… Not just that, he’d always had a Talent that allowed him to manifest things according to desires if he didn’t outright use his essence.

Not only that… he was a Progenitor without even needing the Title. It was wild that he hadn’t realized it sooner.

It was truly strange, and it led him to another question—one that would be answered soon enough.

In front of him a simple tree branch appeared. It was simple really… just a regular old branch. Yet, as he approached the Vesper whom was broken… Mentally and Physically.

He used the branch as he touched Vesper’s head. The moment he did, a white illusory figure appeared… it was the Soul of Vesper.

Using this he turned to the second manifested item…

Which was nothing but a Golem.

The Golem was something that would not move, but yet would feel every amount of pain as a real person… Not only that it would keep Vesper alive no matter what.

As he put his Soul inside of the Golem… he sent it into his cosmos as he had other plans for the guy.

Turning his attention back to the Void… he could see the ashen looks, the looks of fright and everything else. Yet, he cared not…

SNAP!

He snapped his fingers and the void changed… His orb became a smaller screen as the Nocturne Galaxy shone covering Venia on the live broadcast.

He looked at the broadcast still without any emotions showing… He watched as Nocturne Prime was turned into a slaughterhouse.

SHK!

SHK!

Sylvie moved like a crimson storm—sword flashing in arcs of rose-pink void that carved through vampire legions, each slash… severing limbs and heads in clean, spraying bursts, her wings beating to propel her through crowds as she sought the Crimson Abyss.

CRACK!!!

Mira ruled the skies—her wings pounding the air with thunderous gusts as she dove like a meteor. Still accustomed to being a harpy, so morphing her body a bit, she used her talons raking through ranks, beak snapping necks… her feathers scattering razor edges that sliced throats mid-scream.

Lithia slid through the shadows, using a tail whipping to snap bones, horns driving into chests with sickening punctures. Her heart shaped eyes glowed as she lured groups into a frozen trance, only to tear them apart with claws and fangs…

CRACK!

CRACK!

Diana stormed forward like a war goddess—her spear driving in vicious bursts that skewered several foes at once, her whip snapping to strip flesh from bone, red tattoos blazing as she stomped skulls beneath her boots and bellowed challenges that lured swarming enemies only for her to cut them down in droves.

Kaelthyr himself even had joined in on the action…

By now, he was with his disciple no matter what, even if it meant slaughtering his own clansmen—sword of pure concept essence cleaving through defenses with clean, humming slices.

It didn’t take them long at all…

Honestly, they could have finished much earlier, but as Ash requested, they made it slow and cruel—dragging out screams, forcing survivors to watch loved one’s fade, buildings collapsing under precise, intentional strikes.

When it was over, a portal appeared on the Nocturne Prime world, whisking his Valkyries away…

Then he vanished too, but not before leaving a few parting words.

“Anyone siding with the Nocturne… your countdown starts now.”
