Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids
Chapter 818 - 816: Logically, It Seems There’s No Problem
What to produce now? Mo Jingchun fell into deep thought.
Such an advanced CNC machine, it can’t just be used to produce screws, right? It’s like using a cannon to shoot a fly—what’s the point. It’s really a bit of a waste of resources.
But what should we produce now?
While Mo Jingchun was thinking, Candy was full of excitement. Zero had secretly told her earlier that this big machine in front of them can produce all kinds of toys.
"Brother, brother."
Candy tugged at Mo Jingchun’s shirt, trying to make herself appear even more adorable (*╹▽╹*)
Mo Jingchun glanced down at his sister tugging on his shirt and asked, "What’s up?"
"Hehe, I want a boat."
"I’m busy now, I’ll buy one for you later when I’m free."
Suddenly, Mo Jingchun was stunned and looked down at Candy again. He realized why Candy asked for a boat, she wanted to use the CNC machine like a cannon blasting flies.
Unable to think of a better idea, Mo Jingchun shook his head helplessly and said, "Zero, edit the command, just make a small boat, not too big."
"Okay, boss."
For some reason, Candy felt that Zero’s smile had a mischievous hint.
She pondered for a long time but couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Zero was always good to her, surely he wouldn’t trick her like her brother.
As for the boat, small is fine, it’s just for playing with water anyway.
A few minutes later, a toy boat measuring 20 centimeters long, 7 centimeters wide appeared in front of the three of them.
Staring at the toy boat right in front of him, Mo Jingchun remained silent.
Mo Jingchun was speechless. The toy boat wasn’t that big, but it was made of solid iron. Mo Jingchun really wanted to ask Zero, "Are you serious?"
Looking down at his sister who was full of anticipation, Mo Jingchun sighed and asked again, "Candy, are you sure? Do you really want it badly?"
Candy nodded vigorously, stretching out her hands, staring at her brother full of expectation as if saying, "Brother, hand it to me, I want to show off to my friends."
Thankfully Mo Jingchun didn’t know what Candy was thinking, otherwise he could only hold a moment of silence, fearing the friendship’s little boat might sink.
"Alright, you wanted it, get ready, I’m handing it to you."
Upon hearing this, Candy was utterly unconcerned.
Mo Jingchun somewhat laboriously lifted the small boat, estimating it was much heavier than a bun, nowhere near Little Grey’s weight.
That wasn’t what’s important; the main issue was Mo Jingchun doubted his sister could even lift it, let alone play with it. Such a thing was more suited as a desk ornament in the office.
With a mischievous smile, Zero watched as Mo Jingchun slowly handed the small boat to Candy.
The weight transferred over, Candy was utterly dumbfounded.
The boat felt heavy before her brother even fully let go; this was no toy boat, but rather a shaped iron block.
Feeling unable to manage the weight, Candy was so anxious she was about to cry.
"Brother, you can’t let go, I can’t lift it."
"Zero, you tricked me. This stupid machine can’t make toys, yet you told me it can make anything."
Upon hearing that, Zero let out a carefree laugh, "Didn’t we make it? How could it not be playable?"
To prove it can be played with, Zero took the toy boat from the boss’s hands, tossing it up and down playfully, the solid iron small boat seeming weightless in Zero’s hands, leaving Candy wide-eyed.
These two little fellows, surely don’t give peace of mind, Mo Jingchun shook his head, looked at his phone, saw it was getting late, and said, "Let’s go, time for dinner. Put the small boat on my desk as decoration, it’s also a sort of keepsake."
Candy expressed indifference; something unplayable was worthless to her, she could not imagine herself handling the small boat like Zero did.
About ten minutes later, inside the cafeteria’s small private room, everyone curiously looked at the small boat placed in front of Candy’s plate, or more precisely, the iron lump.
What intrigued everyone wasn’t the boat’s material, but rather the surface gloss.
Under the lights, the seamless boat showed no joints, with a surface smooth enough to reflect light.
"Boss, is this sample produced by us?"
Rushing through dinner to bring food back to his dorm, Xu Pengfei couldn’t take his eyes off the small boat before Candy. If this was a Candy Technology Laboratory sample, gosh, wouldn’t Candy Technology become an industry disruptor?
CNC machines weren’t unfamiliar to Xu Pengfei, his graduation design at the research institute involved CNC machines.
Mo Jingchun continued to explain without lifting his head, "It’s a laboratory-produced sample, but the equipment was purchased; we don’t have the resources to develop CNC machines."
Besides Xu Pengfei, others retained their concept of CNC machines as factory devices.
Therefore, many couldn’t understand why advanced CNC machinery was called an industrial aircraft carrier.
Seeing Mr. Xu filled with wonder, Candy couldn’t help but roll her eyes while eating the Xiaomi shrimp, what’s the appeal of an iron lump though it can reflect light, it can’t be played with nor eaten, what’s its purpose.
Listening to the boss, Xu Pengfei quickly recalled two days ago seeing cranes operating outside the second laboratory building, transported by military trucks.
Case solved, those five military trucks undoubtedly hauled CNC machines.
Glancing at the crowd, Mo Jingchun said calmly, "It’s obvious the moment it arrived, it cannot be hidden for long, but we keep it under wraps as long as possible; everyone’s aware, just don’t spread it around."
The group silently nodded, without needing the boss’s reminder, they hadn’t intended to disclose it outside. Sitting in that small private room for a meal were the company’s core management, reaching this point wasn’t easy, who’d want issues around money?
"Brother, I’m full."
"I want to drink cola, iced."
Mo Jingchun glanced mockingly at his sister, who had made many requests today, and coldly rejected, "Chicken soup is available, no cola. Don’t know drinking too much cola leads to calcium loss?"
"Brother, you drank it today."
"I’m not growing anymore, but you? Drink too much and you won’t grow taller, still want to drink?"
Upon hearing this, Candy seriously thought it over, "Brother, drinking chicken soup helps grow taller, right?"
"Of course, chicken soup supplements calcium."
"Got it! I can drink chicken soup first, then cola, that way it won’t affect growth."
Candy secretly delighted in her cleverness, able to solve even such a difficult problem.
Watching everyone unable to suppress laughter, Mo Jingchun almost couldn’t hold it in.
