Taming the Tyrant Beast Women
Chapter 111: The Heavenly- Tier Hunting Ground Begins [Part 2]
The Heavenly- Tier Hunting Ground Begins [Part 2]
"What about D- rank? A beast-soul master’s aptitude can be improved— it’s not a fixed ceiling. Surely you know that?"
"Hmph, Yamen! Don’t think Supreme Heaven University is your personal playground!"
"From now on, you’ll focus on teaching. As for your other positions— I’ll discuss removing you from the board with the trustees."
"That’s all. Get out."
Yamen left the office, his face pale with fury.
His footsteps echoed through the long corridor.
Every step felt heavier than the last.
This had been a disaster.
Not only had he failed to obtain Selena and Evelyn, but he had also lost his own position.
From now on, his authority within the university would slowly be stripped away. He could already imagine the whispers behind his back, the people who would suddenly stop answering his calls, and the colleagues who would pretend they had never supported him.
His fists tightened.
All because of Leon.
"What a fool."
Inside the office, Shera leaned back in his chair.
His expression was cold.
He had already seen through the entire matter.
Yamen had allowed personal interests to interfere with the university’ s recruitment strategy. Worse, he had used his nephew to pressure Leon into giving up his beast-girls.
That wasn’t recruitment.
That was stupidity.
Shera slowly turned his head toward the young man standing beside him.
"As for Leon—" Supreme Heaven University’s president, Shera, turned to the young man beside him. "I may need you to make another trip."
"See if we can salvage this. We can offer him an A- grade contract."
The young man looked uneasy.
He was the observer responsible for the entire Bellemont Province’s Martial Exams.
He had been the one who discovered Leon’s potential and reported it to Yamen.
At that time, he had expected the university to take the matter seriously.
He had never expected Yamen to send his own nephew to poach Leon’s beast-girls.
The observer’s indignation had caught Shera’s attention.
Once the president learned the full story, the entire matter had exploded.
Hence the scene just now.
Although the observer tried not to show it, he couldn’t deny that the outcome felt satisfying.
Yamen had brought this upon himself.
"But... what if he’ s already signed with another university?"
The observer hesitated.
That was the biggest problem.
Leon had already attracted the attention of several major universities.
Shera’s eyes narrowed.
"Then we’ll pay his penalty fee."
"Hiss!"
The observer grimaced.
That was an outrageous amount of money.
Supreme Heaven University had never treated a student so generously.
Not for a D-rank beast-soul master.
Not even close.
But Shera clearly wasn’t joking.
"Ten perfect matches... he deserves it. And that beast-girl—she’s definitely not just A- rank or S- rank..."
The observer nodded slowly.
He had watched Leon’s matches himself.
He had seen Selena tear through opponents that should have been far beyond her apparent rank.
He had also seen Evelyn’s potential.
The numbers on the examination profile simply didn’t make sense.
"I understand. I’ll head to Jade City immediately."
Shera nodded.
"Go."
The observer turned and left.
The office became quiet again.
Shera looked toward the massive window.
Beyond it, the university’ s buildings stretched into the distance.
His fingers tapped lightly against the desk.
"Leon..."
There was more to that young man than a D-rank aptitude.
Shera was certain of it.
Inside the Heavenly-tier hunting ground, a chilling aura hung in the air.
Thick clouds hung low, brushing against the treetops and casting the entire land beneath them in a gloomy grey.
The wind carried the smell of wet soil.
Somewhere far away, a beast howled.
Low.
Deep.
Menacing.
The sound rolled through the forest before slowly disappearing between the mountains.
The examination would last eight hours.
Every demonic beast killed earned points.
Leon stood beneath the dark sky and glanced down at the wristband around his arm.
It wasn’t an ordinary wristband.
It served as both an alarm device and a map guide.
He tapped it gently.
A faint light flashed.
A holographic map immediately appeared above his wrist.
The Heavenly-tier hunting ground was massive.
The sound rolled through the forest before slowly disappearing between the mountains.
Its territory was divided into irregular zones.
The outermost layer was gree n.
The middle region was yellow.
The innermost area was a vivid red.
Leon’s location appeared as a small glowing dot in the green zone.
He studied the map for a few seconds.
"Outer layer, huh?"
His purple eyes shifted toward the distant forest.
Then he started walking toward the center.
There was no reason to waste time here.
With Selena’ s current abilities, monsters in the core zone shouldn’t pose much difficulty.
They hadn’ t gone very far when the ground suddenly trembled.
A strange growl came from ahead.
Leon stopped.
Selena and Evelyn immediately became alert.
From the distance, something rushed through the trees.
Branches snapped.
Leaves exploded into the air.
Then a massive lizard covered in burning scales charged into view.
Flames surrounded its body.
Its eyes were bloodshot, and every step left behind patches of scorched earth.
A notification appeared.
[Blazing Flame Lizard]
[Level: LV.21]
[Rank: Boss]
Leon raised an eyebrow.
"Even the outer zone has boss-level creatures?"
He looked at the information for another moment.
"What kind of monsters are in the inner zone?"
A faint smile appeared on his lips.
"So this is the Heavenly-tier hunting ground..."
ROAR!
The Blazing Flame Lizard suddenly opened its enormous mouth.
Its abdomen contracted violently.
Its scales scraped against each other with a grinding sound.
Then—
BOOM!
A torrent of fire erupted from it s mouth.
The flames surged toward the three of them like a burning river.
They didn’t even dodge.
The lizard became excited.
Its flames burned at extreme temperatures.
A direct hit meant certain death for ordinary examinees.
But Selena simply stood there.
Her silver-white hair fluttered behind her in the heat.
Her golden eyes remained calm.
She slowly raised one hand.
"Selena..."
