Taking the Mafia to the Magic World

Chapter 1131: Departure for Hell

Chapter 1131: Departure for Hell

Vicente remained silent for a long time after Theloria’s words about the importance of the Celestial King’s successor. Meanwhile, Kong did not fail to express his doubts to the succubus, trying to better understand the experiences that made her able to say such a thing.

According to Theloria, the state of the Nine Paths was irreparable with methods other than those only possible with the powers of origin of the Celestial King’s successor. The possibility of repair has long been lost, and power alone would never be able to change anything. In fact, it would be easier to destroy the whole of existence than to make it the way it was in the distant past.

Kong also heard some details of past events that he had never had the courage to ask about. Certain subjects were too dangerous to talk about and without a greater reason, even high-level Sorcerers would avoid asking questions.

Now the ice dragon didn’t expect to live much longer and wanted to fight alongside Vicente, so he no longer had any old behavioral ties.

Vicente finally broke his three-minute silence, realizing he would have to rush back to Hell. “I was already planning to go to the dimension soon, but maybe I’d better get a move on right away.” He muttered as he looked at the succubus who now had a serious expression on her beautiful face.

Theloria realized that, despite being a Devil, Vicente didn’t seem so happy about returning to Hell so soon. “What’s bothering you?” She asked.

“When I left Hell, there was a war going on in one of the richest and largest territories in the dimension. A conflict like no other, said several Devils I killed on my departure. But not only that, I was chased and almost killed. If I come back, I’ll have to deal with mid-level Transcendents.”

“Oh?” Theloria wasn’t aware of such a confrontation. “Did something like that happen in Hell? Did a powerful Devil die and leave their domains free?”

“Something like that,” Vicente said, not knowing if Devil Abby had really died. But it was a fact that her old domains were free to be taken over by whoever had the strength to keep them.

“In that case, I can help you with something.” Theloria threw a space storage item in Vicente’s direction. “I can’t join your group by going to Hell. But I can give you something capable of temporarily taking down a mid-level Transcendent. Even True Celestials would be paralyzed by it.” She smiled and advised. “If you use it, run away quickly. It won’t distinguish between enemies and allies.”

Vicente felt the power of the artifact in the storage item and couldn’t help but shiver at the strong mental power coming from it. ’So powerful…’

“Thank you for the gift…” He was saying when she interrupted him.

“Don’t thank me yet. It doesn’t guarantee you anything. But use it to increase your chances,” she said as she allowed the minds of everyone to return to reality, leaving her colorful fantasy world to return to the peak of the hill they were on in that dark region of Red Enclave.

But only Vicente, Kong, Larissa and Rex left Theloria’s mental illusion. While Vicente’s two underlings breathed deeply at seeing themselves in the real world, free of the fantasies that had invaded their minds, the demon who had brought the group there fell to his knees, bleeding from his seven facial orifices.

Vicente and Kong didn’t ask what was wrong. Theloria was ruthless and wouldn’t leave any loose ends in such a critical matter. So, as she walked towards the exit of her mountain, they didn’t question what would happen to the demon.

She went ahead of them, not bothering to talk about the demon and getting straight to the point. “Now we have to focus on what matters. How do you intend to return to Hell? I know of some special places in Red Enclave that could help you, if you so wish.”

Vicente said as he followed her. “I have my own methods. And given the sensitivity of my situation in Hell, it may not be ideal to use methods known to others. However, I need to get to an area at least a thousand kilometers away from unwanted eyes.”

She understood and changed her direction. “I know a place where you can have the privacy to leave.”

The group flew after her, taking advantage of the vacuum left by such a powerful expert to fly faster than they had ever had the chance to before.

After only a few seconds of silence, Theloria spoke again, asking Vicente, “How much time will you need? I’ll get a move on and start preparing my group to sail. Unfortunately, Red Enclave isn’t the ideal place for our plans to develop.”

“Will we need to go to an island more connected to Argardus?” Kong asked.

“Yes.” Theloria nodded in affirmation. “Only in such a place can we truly prepare for the battles to come. There is a place near the strongest island of Anicane where we can meet with the successor of the Celestial King and prepare our action. We should leave for there as soon as possible.”

Vicente then answered Theloria’s previous question. “Regarding the time, it could be a few weeks or months. It will depend on our luck and how much things have changed in Hell in recent years. But I don’t intend to delay. I have a method that will be useful for contacting that person without waiting indefinitely. One day I know that person will contact me. At that time, I’ll know instantly about his situation and how to communicate our intention.”

“That’s good. Some of my old acquaintances will want you to be present when we negotiate the return of the alliance. Much has changed since we last met. Few will risk it merely for the pleasure of challenging the ruling order.”

They discussed a few more details of their plans for a few more minutes until Theloria slowed to a stop above a mountain covered in blood.

“This is the place. I assure you, there’s no one around who can sense what you’re about to do. There’s an ancient curse against demons and vampires on this mountain,” she said while looking much less powerful than earlier.

Vicente saw the sweat dripping from Theloria’s forehead, realizing that she was weakened. ’Perfect. We can go to Hell without attracting attention. This will also be a good place to return to when we’ve fulfilled our plans.’

“I’ll put one of my men outside the mountain to wait for you. We’ll unite again soon,” she said, not intending to go any further in this area.

Vicente understood and thanked her with a gesture. “Thank you for your help. We’ll be back as soon as possible.”

“Hmm, just don’t die. When I get back, we’ll find a way to beat the damn Deities!”

Theloria left without further ado, leaving the group alone as they made their way to the top of that mountain, where even beings unrelated to demons could be retaliated against by the area’s curse.

The group kept a low profile, but before they reached the point Vicente had chosen, Larissa couldn’t help but ask. “What guarantees that person will help us?”

Vicente wasn’t sure about that, since he wasn’t influential enough to have the confidence to move someone like Minos. But he thought he had a good chance, given his good relationship with such a Transcendent.

But it was Kong who answered Larissa. “Don’t worry about it. As long as the Celestial King’s successor lives, he will fight against the enemies of his Ancestral Realm. That’s his innate nature. He will invariably seek to recover his absolute powers, regardless of his origins in each lifetime. His destiny is only one. Reclaim the Ancestral Realm or die trying!”

Rex and Larissa looked at the dragon and couldn’t help wondering if every reincarnation followed a predetermined destiny. But this time, Vicente was the one who cleared up their doubts. “Don’t think too much about the meaning of what Kong said. The Celestial King was a unique figure. His reincarnation is special. Becoming confused with reality and history is his destiny, not ours.”

Kong said, “What matters is that he will be by our side. But now we’d better leave. This place is giving me the creeps.”

The three agreed with the last part of Kong’s words, with Vicente stepping forward and preparing himself. He looked at the dragon and asked, “Have you ever been to Hell before?”

“I’ve never had the displeasure.” The dragon answered truthfully.

“Well, it’s going to be strange. But since you already have the Infernal Crown, you’ll understand the dimension pretty quickly. The point is to be prepared. I’m going to teleport us to the center of my domain. That’s the place where I’ll be strongest, but I can’t guarantee that we won’t face enemies once we arrive.”

The three showed they understood, preparing to deal with the differences between Anicane and Hell, but also with enemies.

Vicente said, “Since we’re going to Hell, let’s not just set up a communication route with that person. Theloria may not be enough and that person may not be so easily contacted. So we should get some infernal allies before we return.”

“Are you talking about Lothur?” Larissa asked.

“Yes. He may be even stronger than that person, so he could do a lot for us. But getting to him might be difficult, depending on the current situation in Hell.”

“All right. Let’s do it.” Kong thought it was worth it. “We also need to strengthen ourselves on this journey. The road ahead will be many times more dangerous!”

They all knew they could get much stronger in Hell and soon Vicente began teleporting them to the dimension, using his method that had enabled him to escape from being hunted by high-level Devils before.
