Chapter 799 You Were Cuter When You Were Younger
“Welcome to Bellaran, Zion,” Adira, who was already waiting for his arrival, greeted with a smile.
The Drow then glanced at the beautiful ladies accompanying the teenage boy and smiled mischievously.
“You must be Erica,” Adira said as she approached Shana, looking at the young lady from head to foot. “I heard you are teaching Zion how to kiss. Well, is he a good kisser now?”
Shana, who had been mistaken as Erica, didn’t know how to react to the Drow’s statement.
However, there was one thing that caught her attention, and it was the information about Erica teaching Zion how to kiss.
“Um, that’s not Erica.” Thirteen lightly coughed. “She’s Shana. One of the ladies I’m escorting to the Temple of Zaphiel.”
“Oh…” Adira, who didn’t easily apologize to anyone, only nodded in understanding. “I thought you were Erica because you’ve been looking at Zion as if you want him to kiss you.”
“W-What?!” Shana gasped in shock. “I-I just saw him kissing his siblings earlier on the cheeks and thought that it would have been nice if he did the same thing to m—”
Caught off guard by Adira, Shana immediately lost her composure. Not to mention, the Drow actually managed to guess what she was thinking.
To make matters worse, she almost blurted out that it would have been nice if she was also kissed on the cheek like Remi and Rhia. Fortunately, the second part was spoken in a volume only Adira could hear, saving herself from being teased by her friends.
Of course, since Adira heard her, the Drow didn’t miss a beat and arm-locked Thirteen’s head, whispering something in his ear.
“You’re one lucky brat,” Adira whispered, not bothering to explain any further.
After saying what was on her mind, the Drow released Zion and gestured for everyone to follow her.
“I have already prepared everything you will need in your journey,” Adira explained. “Three wagons big enough to allow five people to sleep comfortably in each of them, just like you requested.”
Thirteen replied. “Thank you, Lady Adira.”
“No problem,” Adira stated before moving close to Zion to whisper something in his ear, “Also, your father had a private chat with our leader a few days ago. He has come to an agreement with the top brass of our organization.”
Thirteen nodded and didn’t make any comments on the matter.
He had already told his father what to say and what to not say to the Order of Raziel.
As long as they formed a relationship that benefited both parties, things would turn out fine in the end.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the place where the three Wagons were parked.
Each of them had two Rank 3 Red-Eyed Horses pulling them, which made Thirteen arch an eyebrow. Red-Eyed Horses were War Horses often used on the battlefield, yet they were being used as horses that merely pulled carriages. This was a testament to Adira’s ability to make them obedient to her orders.
“You sure know how to make an impression,” Thirteen commented.
“Actually, I planned to use Unicorns to pull your carriages,” Adira replied with a pout. “But my Master took them away for a mission, so I had to settle for these boys.”
The horses whined at the Drow, as if complaining about her choice of words.
However, Adira ignored them and showed Zion the interior of the wagon.
“Not bad,” Thirteen nodded in satisfaction since the interior was just like he hoped it would be.
Long wooden seats at the side, with plenty of space in the middle to sleep on. The wagon also had springs built on them, which would make travel more comfortable even on bumpy roads.
“I wish I could accompany you, but Drows and Celestials don’t really get along,” Adira explained. “Also, there are rumors that a large bandit group has taken over the mountain you need to pass through to reach the Temple of Zaphiel. “Be very careful. After all, you have beautiful ladies traveling with you. I’m sure those bandits will be more than happy to hug them at night.”
Thirteen smirked. If he were being honest, he wanted to know how capable this bandit group really was.
“Here is the payment for everything,” Thirteen handed Adira a storage ring, which contained thousands of gold coins. Keep the change.”
“Don’t mind if I do,” Adira replied after checking the contents of the ring. “It’s a pleasure doing business with you, Zion.”
Adira shook the young man’s hand before raising her hand to touch his head.
“You’ve grown a bit taller again,” Adira, who was just a little over five feet tall, smiled faintly. “You were cuter when you were younger. Well, you’re still cute in your own way. Now, be off before night falls.
“Make sure to return safely. The money you gave me is just enough for a deposit. I still need you to return these wagons to me, you know?”
The teenage boy knew that Adira was just teasing him. However, he still felt touched, knowing that this was just the Drow’s way of telling him, ‘You better come back alive, you hear?’
“See you soon, Adira,” Thirteen said. “There are still transactions I want to negotiate with you.”
“You know where to find me,” Adira replied. “Now go.”
The teenage boy nodded and started to assign his party members to their respective wagons. He, Erica, and Sherry would be on the First Wagon.
Shana, Diana, and Mildred would be in the second. Derek was assigned to operate the third wagon all by himself.
The third wagon was meant to carry the majority of their supplies. This included food, medicine, and water, as well as other consumables that they would need in their journey.
Of course, the Wagon would also serve as Derek’s personal quarters because he couldn’t exactly sleep in the same wagons as the other girls.
As the three wagons left the gate of the City, Adira offered a silent prayer to her Goddess, wishing Zion and his entourage a safe journey.
‘I almost feel sorry for that Bandit Group,’ Adira thought after she finished her prayer. ‘They have no idea what trouble is brewing their way.’
A faint smile appeared on the Drow’s lips as she returned to her Mansion to resume her duties.
The Order of Raziel was finally expanding their territories, and she needed to do her share to make sure that their organization would come at the top of the Turf Wars.
