Chapter 127: Higher Probability

Watching Ye Xuan fight the zombies so easily, Liu Yun couldn’t help but praise him.

While she was thinking, Ye Xuan had already killed three more zombies.

Coming out of her thoughts, Liu Yun quickly jogged to the nearest severed zombie’s head. Squatting down, she stabbed her wooden stick into the zombie’s eye, then stirred its brain.

Not sensing anything hard inside, she pulled out her wooden stick, then moved toward the next severed zombie’s head.

Glancing back, Ye Xuan saw Liu Yun seriously stirring the zombies’ heads. As the corner of his lips curved up slightly, he looked away and continued fighting the zombies.

Ten minutes later, the team had killed all the zombies.

Panting heavily, Gu Zhenwei wiped the sweat off his forehead and said, "It’s quite tiring fighting several zombies at once."

Nodding in agreement, Lan Zuancheng took out a bottle of mineral water from his backpack, then took a sip. When he was done, he handed the remaining water to Qiu Sixun.

Looking at Liu Yun, Lan Zuancheng asked, "Younger Sister Liu, have you found any crystal cores?"

Liu Yun dug out another crystal core from the last zombie’s head, then stood up. Raising the plastic bag she used to store the crystal cores, she grinned and replied, "Yes. I found seven crystal cores."

Hearing this, not only Lan Zuancheng but also the others were surprised by her good luck.

Giving her a thumbs-up, Gu Zhenwei praised, "Your luck is incredible!"

Liu Yun chuckled, then asked, "Should we continue?"

"Mhm." Ye Xuan nodded. "Since Younger Sister Liu is very lucky, she will be the one responsible for digging out the crystal cores."

Liu Yun raised her hand and saluted. "Yes, Elder Brother Ye."

With Liu Yun obtaining an official role on the team, Ye Xuan and the others handed over their crystal cores to Liu Yun. After Liu Yun put them into her plastic bag, the team continued hunting for more crystal cores.

While more and more crystal cores went into Liu Yun’s plastic bag, the time to gather with Lian Tianci and the others arrived.

Glancing at his watch, Ye Xuan said, "It’s time. Let’s go back."

"Alright."

Looking at the half-filled plastic bag, Liu Yun’s mood improved as she followed the others.

When the team arrived at the gathering point, Lian Tianci and Gu Lingjian were already there.

Seeing Ye Xuan and the others approaching, Lian Tianci nodded at him and said, "Young Master Ye, I’ve heard about the zombie horde from Captain Gu. I’m glad you and your team are safe."

Ye Xuan nodded in greeting and responded, "Thank you, Captain Lian. It’s all thanks to Captain Gu for holding the rear."

After exchanging polite greetings, Lian Tianci said, "Young Master Ye, we are planning to go inside again after lunch. What about your team?"

Ye Xuan thought for a second, then asked, "Captain Lian, may I know how many crystal cores your team has collected so far?"

Lian Tianci didn’t plan to keep the crystal cores a secret. After all, they still didn’t know how to use the crystal cores except to exchange them for lemon tea with Liu Yun.

Thinking that Ye Xuan was checking whether they had enough crystal cores to buy 100 cups of lemon tea, Lian Tianci truthfully answered, "We have killed more than five thousand zombies so far, but we have only managed to collect fewer than 200 crystal cores."

After getting his answer, Ye Xuan turned to Gu Lingjian and asked, "Captain Gu, what about your team?"

Gu Lingjian sighed and replied, "We are not that lucky. We have only managed to collect 27 crystal cores so far."

When he said this, Ye Xuan exchanged glances with his brothers, and then the four of them looked at Liu Yun at the same time.

Unlike Lian Tianci’s and Gu Lingjian’s teams, the five of them had managed to collect 62 crystal cores from killing fewer than 500 zombies. The probability of their team finding crystal cores inside the zombies’ heads was clearly higher than that of the other teams.

Receiving their secret message, Liu Yun nodded slightly.

Looking at Gu Lingjian, Ye Xuan replied, "We only found seven crystal cores so far."

When Lian Tianci and Gu Lingjian heard this, the two of them nodded in understanding.

Standing 30 meters away from the soldiers, Liu Yun asked, "Should I take out the tent?"

Ye Xuan looked up at the sky covered by thin fog and said, "Yes."

Receiving his answer, Liu Yun then took out the military tent from her Dimensional Space and walked inside, followed by the others.

Sitting inside the tent, Liu Yun asked, "What do you guys want to eat?"
