Chapter 91: 91:Mr Handsome

Nova walked up behind Yolka, her footsteps entirely silent, and lightly patted her shoulder.

Yolka turned, and her soul nearly left her body in terror. Glancing back, she realized Susan had already retreated several feet away, abandoning her. She gulped down nervously, desperately trying to summon a shred of courage. "What... what’s the problem?" she questioned.

"He’s my husband," Nova said, pointing gracefully at Cassian. "You are flirting with my husband here. Isn’t that more than just a little problem?" she commented. Though a breathtaking, polite smile graced her lips, her voice carried the heavy weight of a death sentence.

"Your... your husband?" Yolka’s eyes widened in horror. She stared at Cassian, who was grinning non-stop, his obsessive gaze fixed entirely on his wife. "I... I didn’t know—"

Yolka couldn’t even finish her sentence before Nova’s hand shot out like a viper, grabbing her by the throat. With terrifying ease, Nova lifted her clean off the ground.

Nova’s eyes were cold and dead serious, the suffocating aura around her radiating pure, chilling intent. "Trying to hit on my man... you must be tired of living," she commented, right before violently hurling Yolka across the room.

Looking thoroughly annoyed now, Nova stalked toward the crumpled figure, grabbed Yolka by her hair, and wrenched her head back to stare fiercely into her weeping eyes.

"I... I honestly didn’t know he was your husband! I wouldn’t dare move even an inch closer to him, even if I had the guts!" Yolka cried. From the agonizing jolt of the throw, she could already guess that several of her bones were fractured. Hot tears spilled from her eyes as she pleaded desperately.

The bystanders witnessing the scene were paralyzed by shock, horrified by Nova’s absolute ruthlessness. The tension in the air was so thick it was hard to breathe. Not a single person dared to make a sound, terrified that even a misplaced breath would draw the female devil’s wrath onto themselves.

Susan clamped a hand over her mouth. "Thankfully, I backed down earlier. Is this how I would have ended up?" she murmured inwardly, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs.

Nova smiled coldly. "So, you were too blind to see his ring? You didn’t see the wedding ring right there, huh?" she murmured, right before delivering a violent, echoing slap across Yolka’s face.

Yolka gagged, vomiting a mouthful of blood onto the cold floor. "Please... please, I beg you," she whimpered, her vision fading to black.

Nova snorted. She dragged Yolka a few paces by the hair before casually tossing her toward Susan, who was holding her breath in sheer panic.

"Take your trash and get out of here," Nova said coldly.

"Yes... I’ll take her right away!" Susan squeaked, immediately scrambling to drag away the limp, broken Yolka, who could no longer move her own body.

The manager had just walked back onto the floor, only to witness Susan dragging Yolka’s bloody form away. His previously relaxed posture went rigid, a fresh wave of cold sweat drenching his back.

"Who exactly is this female devil? She’s barely been here for any time at all, and two bodies have already been broken by her hands! Thank God I didn’t offend her," he thought. Forcing a trembling smile onto his face, he approached.

"Ma... Madam," he called out respectfully, but Nova completely ignored him, turning her attention to the attendant who had been accompanying her.

"I’m done with my selections. Pack up the ones I’ve chosen," Nova said.

The attendant nodded quickly and immediately went to work. A short while later, she returned holding five luxurious shopping bags. Nova collected the bags and flashed her a genuine smile.

"What’s your name?" she asked the attendant.

The attendant pointed at herself awkwardly, still shivering slightly. "Catherine," she replied.

Nova nodded and finally looked at the manager. "Give her a raise. From now on, she will be the only one to attend to me whenever I come here," she ordered, and then turned to leave without waiting for the manager’s response.

"Yes, Madam!" the manager bowed respectfully at a perfect right angle.

Cassian immediately stepped forward, taking the heavy bags from Nova’s hands and gently escorting her back out to the car, while Raymond went to the counter to handle the payment.

After the terrifying family had finally left, the manager let out a massive sigh of relief, wiping the heavy sweat from his forehead. "She is truly ruthless. An absolute female devil," he thought, his gaze slowly shifting to Catherine.

Catherine avoided eye contact and instinctively took a step back. "He’s not going to try and harass me again, is he?" she thought in rising panic.

"How did you manage to catch her favor?" the manager asked, his voice still trembling slightly as he stared at her.

Catherine raised her head and met his eyes. To her surprise, the sleazy, perverted gaze he usually directed at her was completely gone, replaced entirely by fear and newfound respect. "Is it because of that Madam?" she wondered. "I... I just saw Kira being incredibly rude to her earlier, so to avoid entirely offending a customer, I decided to step in," she replied truthfully.

The manager nodded slowly. "My loss. I can’t touch her now. She has the backing of that female devil. If that Madam ever finds out I did something to her, my entire family will be buried. And worse... she is married to the devil of the business world himself," he thought, shivering violently at the realization.

Catherine stared at the dazed manager. "He’s always acted so arrogant and perverted towards me, but he’s actually terrified this time," she thought in awe.

"Come with me to the office so I can process that raise she ordered," the manager said, turning to leave. But when he realized Catherine wasn’t following him—her feet rooted to the floor in distrust—he let out a heavy, defeated sigh.

"What do you think I can do to you now? You have a connection with her. I’m not tired of living yet, Miss. I have no more bad intentions toward you, I swear it," he said, holding his hands up in surrender.

Catherine just listened, still showing no intention of following him.

"Forget it. I will have someone deliver your new contract and raise to you directly. You can get back to work," the manager conceded, walking away with his shoulders slumped.

Catherine stared at his retreating back and breathed a massive sigh of relief. "It seems like he won’t make things difficult for me anymore, as long as I remain in the good graces of that Madam. I must work hard to serve her perfectly!" she thought with fierce determination, returning to her post with a new sense of pride.

... Inside the Car ...

Nova sat comfortably, staring at Cassian, who was now docilely tracing the lines of her fingers. She was about to speak when Raymond’s smooth voice echoed from her other side.

"Wifey, don’t be angry anymore, okay?" he said softly, leaning over to press a tender kiss to her cheek.

Nova’s cold, terrifying demeanor melted away instantly, and she smiled warmly. "I’m not angry," she said. She turned her head back to Cassian, a teasing glint returning to her eyes. "Mr. Handsome, it seems it’s not only at your company that you attract such annoying bees," she said. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Cassian raised an elegant eyebrow, staring at Nova in deep amusement. "Darling, do you have an informant planted in my company?" he asked in genuine surprise.
