Nova’s smile widened into something truly sinister. "Shoot!" she ordered.

At that single, terrifying command, Mr. Sunny’s finger curled against his will. He fought it—his eyes bulging, veins popping in his neck as he tried desperately to stop his own hand—but his body was entirely hijacked by a force far more monstrous than himself.

Bang!

He had just shot Viona right in her head. The gunshot echoed deafeningly through the cold night air, and he watched helplessly as her lifeless body slid onto the blood-soaked concrete floor.

"What... what’s all this?" he murmured, looking utterly traumatized, his sanity fracturing completely. His gaze fell on the men in black, who were Alex’s subordinates, and he shouted, "Your master is dead! Shouldn’t you attack the murderer?! Why are you all just standing motionless there?!" he shouted.

One of the men slowly lowered his head and stared blankly at Nova, then his hollow gaze shifted back to Mr. Sunny. "We are done here," he said. And with that, he turned and left with the other men, walking lifelessly out into the darkness like a marching corpse.

Nova’s smile widened. The tension shifted from chaotic violence to a chilling, inevitable doom. "Alright, sir, let’s wrap things up. Will you send yourself to hell, or should I help you?" she spoke, her deadly, predatory gaze fixed directly on him.

Mr. Sunny took a trembling step back, completely broken by the nightmare unraveling before him. With shaking hands, he slowly placed the barrel of the gun against his own jaw. "It’s all my fault. What’s the essence of continuing to live?" he murmured, pulling the trigger as he shot himself.

Now, the entire family of five had died in a single night.

Nova burst into a satisfactory laughter, deeply inhaling the fresh scent of blood that now completely filled the heavy air. "So satisfying, haha! Just good," she whispered, standing up and staring coldly at the massacred bodies scattered across the concrete floor.

Anah materialized beside Nova, and with a snap of her fingers, the whole scene violently warped and adjusted. It now looked as if the family members had brutally killed each other in a crossfire, and all traces related to Nova were completely wiped away.

She turned to Nova, and then the blue holographic screen appeared between both of them.

[Ding!]

[Congratulations on completing the first mission. The entire Sunny family has been completely executed.]

[Reward for completing the mission: Knowledge of the current world. The system has been given permission and can now explain the world to Nova.]

With the information dropped, the translucent screen vanished, and Nova stared at Anah. "What’s this supposed to mean?" she asked.

Anah stared into the dark distance, then looked back at Nova. "You don’t know about the current world you are in. I can explain it to you now, but... let’s leave here first," she replied, and instantly vanished.

"Tsh," Nova hissed lightly. And with blinding speed, she left the place, leaving no traces of her existence behind.

Not long after Nova left, Raymond, Logan, and several armed men arrived, but they were deeply shocked to see the bloody, mutilated bodies of the family on the floor.

"What the hell? They killed each other already," Logan cursed under his breath.

Raymond stared at the bodies with an entirely expressionless face. "Wifey," he thought, sighing deeply, knowing full well that only Nova could cause complicated chaos like this.

"Boss, this is the evidence of Alex’s secret illegal activities. It was broadcast publicly, and Edward did it," a man stepped forward, handing Raymond a USB flash drive.

Raymond collected it and nodded. "Search their bodies," he ordered.

The man nodded and immediately started searching their pockets.

.....

Cassian Mansion.

Nova entered the mansion and was immediately welcomed into a warm embrace. "I have missed you so much, Snow," Alan’s low voice echoed, but then his brows knitted slightly together.

"Are you injured, Snow? You smell strongly of blood," he commented worriedly, frantically checking Nova’s body for wounds.

Nova smiled. "I’m not injured at all, don’t panic, okay? I’m just damn sleepy right now. Can you bathe me?" she asked, her voice sounding exhausted.

"Huh? Ye... yes, I can," Alan replied with a heavily flushed face, nodding eagerly. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

"Bathe me and change me into more comfortable clothes. I want to sleep now," Nova commented, and she collapsed entirely into Alan’s embrace, falling soundly asleep immediately.

Alan carried Nova horizontally in his arms and immediately went to his room to give her a warm, fresh bath.

.....

The Next Day.

Nova opened her eyes, only to find Anah standing beside the bed, seemingly looking down at her with folded arms.

Nova knitted her brows slightly. "Why are you out?" she asked, sitting up on the bed with messy hair.

"You haven’t claimed your reward," Anah replied.

Nova stared at her with a thoroughly bored expression on her face. "I’m not really interested in whatever world I’m in. Skip it," she replied casually.

Anah shook her head lightly. "I don’t really understand why I am the one who has to deal with you. You are impossible," she commented with an irritated tone.

Nova raised an eyebrow at her and glanced at the nightstand. "Pass me my glasses first," she commented.

Without moving from her spot, Anah glanced at the glasses, and with an unseen force, the glasses flew mid-air directly toward Nova’s hand.

Nova took them and wore them. "Okay, I’m listening," she said.

Anah lightly sigh. "The world you are currently in is the past. In a word, you have transmigrated to the past. As for why and how? The reason and what happened—I won’t explain that now. You just need to know that your current soul is from the future, equipped with an advanced system and different abilities compared to the past you are currently in. There is a reason for it," she said.

Nova was silent for a while. "I’m not stupid. It’s not like what you said makes me recall anything. I suspected I wasn’t in my world when I realized people here didn’t even have any abilities, much less a system. I’m not surprised," she replied.

"Nova... you are in this world because there are some things you have to do, and it’s not only in this world. To return back to the future with complete memories, you can’t just act however you want. Follow the system’s arrangements."

Nova chuckled. "Is the system my master, or am I its master? You actually think you can control me, don’t you? Anah, you even make me suspect you are my future self," she said.

Anah stared longer at Nova. "If I were your future self, I wouldn’t hesitate to destroy you immediately after I awakened. You are just thinking too much. This is the disadvantage of being too smart—assuming too much," she replied with a mocking tone.

Nova smirked. "I’m only doing this stupid mission because you threatened me with my husbands. You have the power now, but if I gain control over this power, you are doomed," she said, her devilish smile returning in full force.

Anah turned her head away. "Tsk, since you have claimed the reward, the second mission has been unlocked," she said, and then the massive blue screen appeared again.

The first locked identity was now marked as completed, with the rest of the missions still locked.

[Mission Code 006: Join the top hacker society, become their boss].

Nova was silent for a while. "Just that?" she asked, casting a highly suspicious gaze at Anah.
