Mrs. Mira laughed. "When did I get in contact with them? Do you deserve to know that?" she spat at him, losing her patience.

"You," she pointed at one man among the group. "Get me another cup of coffee with the poison inside," she ordered, and one of the men bowed and quickly left.

Shortly after, he came back with a full cup of coffee and handed it over to Mrs. Mira.

Collecting the cup, Mrs. Mira stared at Mr. Zacus. "I asked you nicely to drink it once," she said, as two men walked forward and held him tightly so he couldn’t struggle.

"But this time, I’ll do it myself," she completed, forcing his mouth open and pouring the entire cup of coffee down his throat.

"You... Mira, did you forget that I’m also backed up by the Sunny family!" he threatened.

"The Sunny family again," Nova murmured.

"The Sunny family?" Alan commented, staring at Mr. Zacus. "How come they are backing him up?" he thought.

Nova stared at Alan, already guessing his thoughts. "Seems like I won’t have to explain things, he will soon find out the truth," she thought, staring at Mr. Zacus.

Mrs. Mira smiled. "Sunny family," she replied. "Well, I’ll have to kill you first to know what they can do," she replied. "Drag him away," she ordered.

"Yes!" the men replied and immediately dragged the screaming Mr. Zacus away.

"You should just kill me. Don’t think I will ever beg you for forgiveness, that can never happen," Mr. Halka commented, his voice deep and firm.

Mrs. Mira chuckled. "Kill you? That would be too easy. You look like you are already on the brink of death. Making you experience hell in this state should make you happier," she replied.

Mr. Halka glared furiously at Mrs. Mira. He was about to speak, but suddenly—

PA!

A thunderous slap landed across his face, making him lose his balance and collapse onto the floor weakly. He vomited a mouthful of black blood, his face becoming even paler.

Seeing the black blood he vomited, Mrs. Mira’s brows knitted slightly in confusion. "Isn’t this the sign of poisoning? Who poisoned him?" she thought, staring at Nova, only to find her not even surprised, but instead smiling brightly.

"This girl..." she thought, smiling lightly as she understood everything.

Nova, who noticed Mrs. Mira’s gaze on her, chuckled, looking away. "Don’t expect the poison to have so much effect on him already, this guy is just too weak," she thought.

"Girl, everything he’s wearing is full of poison, so of course it works faster. But don’t worry, he won’t die from the poisoning until a year strikes," Anah’s voice replied to her.

Nova nodded. "Give me the gist. He must have visited the hospital, judging by his condition," she thought.

"Of course, but those lowly doctors couldn’t explain what type of poison it was, or even tell if it was actually poison... and they couldn’t locate where it was."

Nova’s smile widened. "I like this confusion stage," she thought.

Mrs. Mira glanced back at Mr. Halka. "Drag him away and burn all his things," she ordered.

"Mother-in-law," Nova quickly called. "Why don’t you pity him and send him his clothes? Even when suffering, he has to look well taken care of," she said, staring coldly at him.

Mrs. Mira raised an eyebrow, knowing fully that kindness was never in Nova’s dictionary. She was always ruthless in every way toward whoever she hated.

"Send me my clothes? You can be that kind?" Mr. Halka’s weak voice echoed, staring at Nova with deep hatred.

Nova walked closer, staring down at him. "Of course I can’t be that kind. Do you think you will leave this mansion? I’m sorry, but you’ll have to become a mannequin in this mansion! In all your clothes, you will model them out until you breathe your last," she said coldly, her eyes glowing softly with danger.

Not only Mrs. Mira, but even Alan was stunned by her ruthlessness. Mr. Halka was now terrified, hearing the deep danger in Nova’s statement, he couldn’t bear to imagine the rest of his life as a mannequin.

"You... you just kill me!" he shouted immediately.

"Sorry, that will be impossible," Nova replied, taking a step back with a devilish smile on her lips as she watched him being dragged away.

"Let him have a hellish rest today. By tomorrow, he won’t be able to move his body again, and then we will display him in the garden. That’s our new mannequin for his clothes fashion in this mansion," she ordered, as a dark chuckle followed.

"Yes!" The rest of the men received the order and left.

"Snow," Alan called and immediately rushed toward her, pulling her behind him while shielding her. "Mum... She’s not like that. She... she’s just venting for you," he defended her immediately, thinking his mother would think Nova was dangerous.

Mrs. Mira’s gaze shifted to her son, a surprised expression appearing on her face seeing how panicked he was. "He was always this panicked because of me... but now it’s because of his love," she thought, lowering her head lightly as a smile appeared on her face.

Nova stared at Alan’s back and lightly shook her head. "Oh dear, your mother knows me more than you do. Only you believe I’m an angel, even though I clearly deny it," she thought, sighing heavily.

"Mum," Alan called, seeing his mother silent as the atmosphere grew tense.

Mrs. Mira raised her head, staring at Alan. "You are still a student, Alan, and you are still young. You are not yet sure of your feelings for her. You should let go, otherwise it will later hurt both of you," she said calmly. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Nova rolled her eyes behind Alan, already seeing through Mrs. Mira’s intention.

Alan immediately held Nova’s hand behind him. "No, Mum. I’m very sure of my feelings for her. I want to spend the rest of my life with her, and I want to protect her with all that I have," he replied.

"Protect her?" Mrs. Mira laughed, staring at Nova. "You think she needs your protection?" she questioned.

"Mum..."

"Alan," Mrs. Mira cut into Alan’s statement. "You will have to choose between me and Nova, right here, right now," she said, staring into his eyes.
