Swordsmanship Coach: Kill with One Slash
Chapter 409 - 250: Opportunity
Chapter 409: Chapter 250: Opportunity
Although they had yet to clash, Su Xing could sense a peculiar power emanating from the two men before him—a power that seemed to pin down the Power of Space. Fortunately, Su Xing had never been skilled at manipulating space; his use of it was still limited to travel.
Therefore, their power didn’t pose any special threat to Su Xing. However, even if they weren’t special in that regard, they were still two extremely difficult opponents.
"Xiaohai, let’s attack together."
The man with the thickly painted white face spoke to his companion, his tone strangely reminiscent of a court eunuch.
"Hah! I’m more than enough to deal with a little punk like this!" the other man scoffed, his tone utterly arrogant. He showed his white-faced companion no courtesy whatsoever, taking the lead and charging straight at Su Xing!
His incredible speed blurred his figure into a faint afterimage, almost impossible to track with the naked eye. Amid the whistling of displaced air, he produced a dark, shadowy club from nowhere and brought it crashing down on Su Xing!
Although Black Impermanence spoke with extreme arrogance, his actions were incredibly cautious. At the very least, he had never used this club when fighting others.
Yet he had used a weapon against Su Xing without hesitation. This proved he took Su Xing very seriously—placing him on a level worthy of an all-out effort.
"Get... lost!"
Su Xing roared. Ever since absorbing the majority of martial arts from the Dragon Gate Scripture Pavilion, he had never truly used his full strength. Lin Tianhan and Ao Lin had been too weak, and Su Xing, respecting their senior status, had naturally held back from going all out.
But these two powerful enemies—who had yet to condense their core essence but were formidable nonetheless—were perfect for Su Xing to fight with all his might. They were the ideal whetstones to sharpen his skills.
Su Xing didn’t dodge or evade. His right hand tightened, and the Black Sword carved an exceptionally smooth arc through the air. The sword’s terrifying weight caused the very space it touched to instantly collapse, rippling outward in concentric circles.
In an instant, Black Impermanence switched from offense to defense. Hidden behind him, White Impermanence surged forward at an unimaginable speed, appearing before Su Xing. He too held a club, only his was white.
"!!!"
Alarm bells screamed in Su Xing’s mind. He instantly slashed out with the Sparrow Sword, attempting to block White Impermanence’s attack. At the same time, the Snake Sword in his left hand also slashed out, striking alongside the Sparrow Sword to intercept the incoming white club.
BANG!
Amid the massive explosion, a large section of the ground caved in. All three figures were sent flying back at almost the same time.
Su Xing felt the strength drain from his arms as he was blasted backward, slamming hard against the main gate of Dragon Gate before finally coming to a stop. His eyes darkened as he stared at his opponents, a glimmer of understanding dawning in his mind. He was starting to see why Black Impermanence had acted so arrogant.
’On the path of cultivation, to reach such a level—even if he skipped many hardships thanks to his talent—he shouldn’t be so conceited. At the very least, when facing an opponent of similar strength, a certain level of seriousness is expected.’
And yet, despite having already clashed, Black Impermanence had still put on that condescending act.
’At first, I didn’t get it,’ Su Xing thought. ’But now I see. It was all a setup for White Impermanence’s sneak attack from behind—an attack I barely managed to block.’
"..."
When his arms had collided with theirs, Su Xing felt as if his body were about to be split in two. It was like two people had grabbed the left and right halves of his body and were viciously trying to rip him apart.
The pain was beyond what any normal human could endure. If not for the terrible agony he had suffered during every system upgrade, he probably wouldn’t have been able to withstand it either.
But even though he had endured it, Su Xing could still feel his left arm on the verge of dislocation. After all, his left arm had never been as strong as his right, and now it had just borne the brunt of White Impermanence’s surprise killing blow. It was only normal to sustain some injury.
’Fighting two against one is still a bit of a stretch.’
Su Xing took a deep breath. He grabbed his left arm and gave it a sharp tug. With a "CRACK," he reset the joint, then raised the Snake Sword again and silently stared down the two men.
’My Black Sword struck Black Impermanence’s club, while the Sparrow Sword and Snake Sword simultaneously blocked White Impermanence’s attack. Even though I didn’t land a direct hit on them, with my current terrifying strength, they definitely wouldn’t have gotten off easy.’
Just as he was thinking this, Su Xing saw the two figures who had been thrown back get to their feet, looking dusty and disheveled.
They swayed for a couple of steps as if they hadn’t yet recovered from the clash. Their bodies were covered in minor wounds, and the arm each had used to block Su Xing’s attack was clearly broken. But with a "CRUNCH," their arms snapped back into place as if they had rapidly regenerated.
"..."
Su Xing’s expression darkened. He remembered that among his sword techniques was one that could suppress an opponent’s regenerative abilities, but it hadn’t worked this time. A sliver of doubt rose in his heart.
