Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s
Chapter 2767 - 2760: Amorous Thoughts
The scene before her eyes was so unexpected; she hadn’t thought these two young people would actually be holding each other.
All of a sudden, An Hao remembered how, when they were little, He Yueyue used to cling to Ning Chenguang. Back then the two of them got along really well; they would even joke that when they grew up, they’d have Yueyue marry Chenguang and be his wife.
Could it be that the two of them really had that kind of romantic feelings now?
An Hao was a bit worried. Boys falling in love and girls yearning for romance at their age was the most normal thing in the world. At seventeen or eighteen, hormones are surging, feelings are still in that hazy stage; it’s only natural that budding emotions between them would draw them closer. But they absolutely must not let anything out of line or unexpected happen.
This is the most crucial link in their growth as people; it has to be handled well.
But right now An Hao hadn’t yet seen the whole picture of what was going on, so it wasn’t good to jump to conclusions. Besides, in her heart she actually hadn’t figured out how she ought to handle this.
So, while the two of them still hadn’t noticed her, she quietly drew the door shut again.
Ning Chenguang held He Yueyue, his palm stroking her long hair, and only when her sobs gradually died down did he gently let go of her. "Yueyue, don’t cry anymore. From now on, if anything’s bothering you, you have to tell me."
He’d been under the He Family’s care for so long; now that the He Family was in trouble, he had the responsibility and obligation to look after her.
"Okay."
"Then let’s go back. Go inside and eat! My mom’s already made dinner, she’s been waiting for you this whole time." Ning Chenguang rubbed her head, bent down to prop the bike back up, smiled at her, and walked into the house.
...............
After dinner, He Yueyue buried herself in reviewing her lessons, but her mind simply wouldn’t calm down.
The scene from tonight replayed vividly in her head, refusing to fade: Zhan Xiche had so naturally hooked an arm around Ning Chenguang’s neck and kissed him.
And her little big brother hadn’t pushed her away.
Everyone knows perfectly well what a kiss represents.
Did the two of them already have feelings for each other? In those years when contact between them had been cut off, Zhan Xiche had been by Ning Chenguang’s side the whole time.
If he and Zhan Xiche really had something between them, then what kind of feelings did her little big brother have for her?
He Yueyue unwittingly fell into deep thought.
Little did she know, this was exactly the outcome Luo Tong wanted to see.
Time slipped away bit by bit. When footsteps sounded outside, He Yueyue finally snapped out of it, realizing that a long while had already passed; it was nearly bedtime.
When she lowered her head again and went back to her exercises, she discovered there were actually so many unfamiliar problems she didn’t know how to do.
If she had to figure them out on her own, she’d probably be at it until dawn.
So she decisively picked up her book and went to knock on the door next door. Her little big brother was a guy with sky-high IQ; leaving such talent unused was simply a waste.
Bang bang bang—
After three rhythmic knocks, He Yueyue pushed the door open, and just happened to catch Ning Chenguang in the middle of undressing for bed.
He had his shirt halfway off, revealing honey-colored skin and tight, beautiful muscle lines, smooth and evenly defined, the kind that made your face flush and heart race just looking at them.
That clean-cut, handsome face paired with those blood-stirring muscles created a different kind of striking beauty, sending waves through He Yueyue’s heart.
"I—I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were changing." She stared blankly for about two seconds, then apologized again and again.
