Chapter 349: Chapter 349: Water Takes Shape

The moment the command was given, the longsword relief on the blueprint suddenly erupted with a sapphire light ten times more intense than before!

A clear and resonant dragon’s roar echoed directly within the small mobile cabin!

The blue light converged, outlining the shape of a longsword before Seraphina Sinclair.

The gloom of the Black Fog Essence, the intensity of the Sunlight Essence, the ripples of the Water Wave Stone, the cold gleam of the Secret Silver Ingot, the purity of the Essence Crystal, the spirituality approved by a Forging Master, the clarity of the Pure Water...

All these materials and their traits, which should have been incredibly difficult to gather, were now being simulated and constructed by the mystical power of the A-level Scroll, then perfectly fused under the guidance of the blueprint!

Light flowed, and water took form.

Seraphina Sinclair held her breath, her eyes fixed, unblinking, on the miracle materializing before her.

The sapphire radiance was like living water, churning and shaping itself before her.

First was the Blade Guard, where the mouth of a coiled dragon, ancient and imposing, slowly emerged. Next came the long, slender hilt, which seemed carved from the finest Cold Jade—smooth and warm to the touch, yet possessing the solid feel of metal.

Then, the blade.

The flowing water was so clear it was nearly transparent, yet as it moved, it refracted a chilling, heart-stopping glint of light.

Along the spine of the blade, a lifelike Water Dragon coiled its way up from the guard. Each and every Dragon Scale was distinct, and as the light and shadows shifted, it seemed to sway with the current.

The dragon’s head rested proudly at the tip of the blade. Its eyes, formed from the phantoms of Deep Sea Crystal Stones, gazed quietly at Seraphina Sinclair. Like a newborn Mythical Beast, its stare held a trace of nascent bewilderment, yet also an innate majesty buried deep within its bloodline.

The last bit of light retracted.

A slender longsword, about 1.2 meters in length, hovered quietly half a foot before Seraphina Sinclair.

The blade was slightly canted, its water-like edge drooping naturally, resembling a hanging waterfall.

There was no earth-shattering fanfare, only a sharpness that was restrained, yet incredibly real.

Wisps of water vapor naturally diffused from the blade, making the air in the cabin humid and fresh.

Seraphina Sinclair subconsciously reached out. The instant her fingertips touched the hilt, she felt a cool, gentle warmth, as if it had a faint, beating pulse.

She raised her hand and gripped it lightly.

The blade let out an extremely faint hum, like a soft dragon’s song, like the gentle babbling of a stream.

The naturally diffusing water vapor receded slightly, becoming tame and concentrated.

[Water Dragon Roar (B-level)]

[Description: The blade is forged as if from a clear, cold pool, its entire body circulating with a faint blue, watery light. The edge is as thin as a cicada’s wing yet conceals the might of a dragon’s roar. A liquid dragon pattern coils up the spine from the guard to the tip, its scales shifting into myriad ripples with the light. The dragon’s head rests proudly at the tip, its eyes inlaid with two Deep Sea Crystal Stones that feel like gazing into an endless vortex.]

[Traits: 1. Dragon Breath Following Form... 2. Leviathan’s Guardian...]

All the longsword’s information flashed before her eyes, but at this moment, Seraphina Sinclair’s attention was entirely on the tangible blade gripped in her hand.

She gave her wrist a slight flick, performing a simple flourish with the sword.

The longsword cut through the air, leaving behind a nearly invisible trail of blue water that vanished a moment later.

The blade’s balance was superb and its weight was perfect. When she swung it, it felt less like she was exerting force and more like the blade itself was pulling the water’s flow forward, moving with an unbelievable fluidity.

"What a beauty..." Seraphina Sinclair couldn’t help but murmur in admiration.

’I finally got my hands on it!’

She clutched the longsword, reluctant to let go, and had no mind for anything else. She simply sat cross-legged on the floor, eagerly waiting for a monster to come in with the black fog so she could properly test her new blade.

Time trickled by as she waited.

Seraphina Sinclair’s fingers unconsciously traced the cool, water-like surface of the blade, feeling the faint undulations of the Water Dragon Pattern and the calming, moist vapor that emanated from it.

The Sunflower also seemed to sense the extraordinary nature of this newly born weapon. Its leaves turned slightly toward the longsword, and its head drooped, studying it curiously. Its gaze, however, met that of the dragon coiled on the blade.

It swayed its head for a good while before looking away.

Outside the cabin, the black fog, thick as ink, roiled silently. Without a sound, the mist seeped into the cabin.

Seraphina Sinclair, who had been quiet for a long time, finally moved. She raised her hand and put on her Single Lens, finally getting a clear look at the monster that had entered the cabin.

D-level. It was hideous, but a lot better-looking than the monsters that usually paid her cabin a visit.

Seraphina Sinclair took a deep breath. With a mix of anticipation and apprehension, she slowly rose to her feet.

She hadn’t been idle while waiting. The longsword, Water Dragon Roar, came with a total of two Skills: one for offense and one for defense.

The defensive Skill was a passive skill, and the cooldown was clearly stated: 12 hours after use.

As for the offensive Active Skill...

Seraphina Sinclair found the description for this skill on the page for D-level Skills.

Perhaps because Water Dragon Roar was a B-level weapon, its two appended Skills were also B-level. And the difference between a B-level Skill and a D-level Skill was...

Seraphina Sinclair was truly speechless for a long time when she saw that line of fine print.

A D-level Skill could be used once per day, while a B-level one... could be used three times per day.

’By that logic, a C-level would be twice, and an A-level would be four times, right?’

Sometimes, Seraphina Sinclair was genuinely rendered speechless by some of this world’s rules.

But regardless... she raised her gaze to the D-level monster that had broken into her mobile cabin.

Since the black fog hadn’t dissipated yet, it couldn’t locate its prey at all. It was looking around blankly, seeming to wonder why it had come here.

Watching it from her position, Seraphina Sinclair could actually see a hint of helplessness in its bewildered expression.

’A little pitiful...’

But unfortunately for it, it was destined to become the first sacrifice for the longsword, Water Dragon Roar.

Seraphina Sinclair’s gaze hardened. With a flip of her wrist, the slender Water Dragon Roar traced a graceful arc in her hand, its tip pointing diagonally toward the ground.

She didn’t charge forward immediately. Instead, following the Skill’s description, she tried to sense and draw upon the surrounding water vapor.

All Skill Books directly infused their practical knowledge into the user’s mind. Therefore... for Seraphina Sinclair, this knowledge felt as natural as eating with chopsticks in her right hand, as if it were a skill she had long since mastered.

The moment she focused her mind, something wonderful happened.

Perhaps it was because she was inside the mobile cabin while the black fog roiled outside, making the air sufficiently humid. Or perhaps the water vapor emanating from Water Dragon Roar itself had resonated with the surroundings.

Seraphina Sinclair could clearly perceive the imperceptible water molecules in the air gathering toward the longsword in her hand at a slow but steady pace.

The Water Dragon Pattern coiled on the blade seemed to have become a bit more vivid.
