Supremely Talented Tyrant
Chapter 2241 - 2442: Tossed About All Night
Because of that sudden noise, Hao Jian couldn't fall asleep, but even so, he didn't want to talk to Weiwei, because she was just being unreasonable, completely different from her usual quiet and elegant goddess teacher image.
Seeing that Hao Jian was ignoring her, Weiwei said again, "Hmph! If it weren't for you, I'd still be sleeping! I wouldn't have been disturbed like this, and I can't sleep even if I want to now."
"I..." Hao Jian was finally forced to speak, "You're turning the tables here. If it weren't for you, I would have fallen asleep ages ago. The guilty are accusing the innocent now, huh."
That's exactly what happened. If Weiwei hadn't kicked the blanket off earlier causing him to stay awake, he would have fallen asleep in probably less than three seconds. Because of this, he couldn't sleep, and then there was that distracting noise coming from the next room. How could anyone sleep through that?
Weiwei was obviously dissatisfied when she heard this and said, "Who's turning the tables? If it weren't for you, wouldn't I have been sound asleep? How could I have heard that noise or found it hard to sleep?"
Hao Jian was too lazy to argue with her about it. This was the wisdom he had learned over countless experiences: never argue with a woman, because no matter what you say, it will always end up being your fault. The more you say, the angrier the woman gets, and once a woman gets angry, the consequences aren't something you can bear.
Therefore, whenever he encountered something like this, Hao Jian chose to keep silent, preserving his dignity and reputation.
However, seeing Hao Jian not speaking, Weiwei only wanted him to talk more. She suddenly poked Hao Jian with her hand, raised an eyebrow, and said, "How can we sleep like this? Why don't you...go ask them to keep it down?"
This kind of idea could only have been thought up by Weiwei. Hao Jian immediately rolled his eyes at her and retorted, "Go ask? Why don't you go and ask them? I'm not going!"
Weiwei's face turned red with embarrassment. If she could have gone, she wouldn't be asking Hao Jian. After all, how could a girl do such a thing? She immediately rolled her eyes at Hao Jian and said, "You're shameless, asking a girl to do that?"
Hao Jian retorted, "And you think it's okay to ask me?"
Weiwei was momentarily at a loss for words. Meanwhile, the noise from the next room continued unabated, seemingly growing louder.
"You're amazing!" a woman's voice said.
Hao Jian was momentarily stunned, seeing the embarrassed blush on Weiwei's face, he couldn't help but suspect something, so he looked at her and suddenly asked, "You... you've never been through something like this, have you?"
Sure enough, as soon as he said it, Weiwei's face turned red and she picked up a pillow, throwing it at Hao Jian. But Hao Jian was ready, catching the pillow with one hand. Seeing her reaction just made him happier, so he continued to ask, "No way, I thought you'd already... been through that."
Listening to this, Weiwei's face grew even redder, her blush surpassing that of a monkey's bottom. Even without her response, Hao Jian understood the answer. It was surprising, given how pretty she was, that she'd never lacked suitors, and considering how free university life was, maintaining her innocence should have been a bit challenging. But from her reaction, it seemed she was inexperienced.
He looked at her in surprise and said, "Impressive!"
Weiwei rolled her eyes at him again. On the surface, she appeared trendy and fashionable, but inwardly, she was quite conservative, believing that without marriage, it was best not to rush into such things. She held to the idea of waiting until marriage. Even though there was curiosity about what it might be like, she found it quite bearable.
She suddenly looked at Hao Jian with curiosity and asked, "Could it be... you've experienced it?"
Normally, Hao Jian would proudly say, "Of course," but seeing Weiwei, the words caught in his mouth. After all, he was still just a high school student. If he admitted it, with Weiwei's personality, she'd surely give him a hard time.
So, he thought for a moment and said, "Well... of course not, I'm just a student, how could I have gone through that?"
Weiwei instantly rolled her eyes at him, "How dare you look down on me when you haven't experienced it yourself?"
Sis! How can we compare? I'm your student, just a student! Hao Jian thought to himself, while rolling his eyes at Weiwei.
At this moment, the noise from the next room grew even louder, fully lacking any restraint. Hao Jian wondered if it was just this room with poor soundproofing letting the noise through, or if all rooms had such poor soundproofing. If everyone heard it, wouldn't that be overwhelmingly embarrassing?
Come the next day, when the couple finally goes out, wouldn't everyone know what they were up to the night before?
If Hao Jian were alone, he might have gone out and asked them to keep it down. How could anyone sleep with such ruckus late at night? But now, with Weiwei there, he couldn't bring himself to say it. And Weiwei didn't dare to disturb them either. So the two sat there, at an impasse, just listening to the noise next door.
Neither spoke, and time seemed to stand still as they both forgot any sleepiness, just sitting there, waiting for time to pass. Meanwhile, the energy from the couple next door seemed boundless. For over an hour, they hadn't stopped, continuing their loud antics.
Hao Jian's ears were practically ringing from it, while Weiwei's face was still flushed throughout, trying several times to make herself fall asleep, but with that endless noise in their ears, how could anyone sleep?
Who would have thought that the night would pass like this, truly an odd experience.
The night eventually passed, albeit unpleasantly. Throughout, the couple next door had been noisy for who knows how long, leaving Hao Jian and Weiwei sleepless. After the noise ended, they even stayed up talking, discussing embarrassing topics. During the day, they appeared to be very proper, but in private, who would have thought they'd have such unique tastes. Hao Jian and Weiwei were practically sick of it, yet unable to avoid overhearing, it was genuinely unbearable.
It was only after they finally quieted down at some unknown time that Hao Jian and Weiwei managed to fall asleep.
In the morning, sunlight refracted through the window. Both Hao Jian and Weiwei almost simultaneously opened their eyes, gazing at the sunlight through the window, silently getting up. Both had slight dark circles around their eyes, after all, they'd gone to sleep very late the previous night.
"Time to get up." Hao Jian patted the bed, waking the still half-asleep Weiwei.
Subsequently, Hao Jian got up to wash up, and after he was done, Weiwei went in to freshen up. There was still a full day's schedule ahead, starting with contacting the bus driver to see when they'd be at the parking area outside the Ancient Town, then arranging breakfast and planning the day's sightseeing and activities.
Thankfully, Zhang Danlin had all this organized, and so Hao Jian just followed the routine plan. Once Weiwei finished getting ready, they both headed out.
They first went to arrange breakfast, called the restaurant manager, and discussed things. Then they went door-to-door waking everyone up, gathering them to have breakfast and continue with the day's plans. Luckily, with Weiwei, it was manageable; the two of them going around waking everyone only took a few minutes.
By the time everyone was ready and out the door, about twenty minutes had passed. At eight-thirty, everyone was assembled, and after taking a headcount to ensure everyone was present, they prepared to head to the restaurant for breakfast.
Just then, two people came down the stairs, none other than the couple who had been causing a racket all night. Hao Jian looked at them both coming down with displeasure. They were the culprits of his poor sleep last night, making him still sleepy.
Weiwei soon noticed them too, looking over with equally unfriendly eyes. The others, likely having slept soundly, were oblivious to last night's commotion and remained unaware, showing no peculiar looks.
Hao Jian told Zhang Danlin to take everyone for breakfast, saying he'd join them shortly. Zhang Danlin nodded and led the group away. Liang Xiaohan, still looking half-asleep, dazedly followed.
Hao Jian approached the couple, who seemed energetic and happy. It looked like they had quite the time last night.
They appeared to be checking out, handling the check-out procedures.
The Innkeeper noticed Hao Jian and Weiwei approaching, his eyes carried a hint of displeasure, as he glanced at the mess from last night that hadn't been tidied up or fixed yet.
Hao Jian walked over to the man, pretending to accidentally bump into him, and initiated a conversation.
"Oh, sorry about that!" Hao Jian said deliberately.
The man was furious that Hao Jian stepped on his shoes and said, "Are you blind? Do you know how expensive these shoes are? How could you step on them?"
The woman also shot Hao Jian a look full of disgust.
