Supremely Talented Tyrant
Chapter 2224 - 2425: Not Simple at All!!!
Hao Jian effortlessly saw through the Innkeeper's little scheme. For the Innkeeper to even return the deposit, which was already in his pocket, there was only one reason: the benefits he received were far greater than the deposit. Otherwise, he wouldn't happily return the deposit.
Clearly, the guest last night paid him more money, which is why he acted this way. Hao Jian didn't want to delve into it; his first impression of the Innkeeper wasn't good, even somewhat annoying. If everyone hadn't already settled into their rooms and unpacked, he would have considered leaving immediately.
At this point, Li Weiwei was already carrying her belongings upstairs. Zhang Danlin glanced at Hao Jian, seemingly asking if everything was okay this way. Hao Jian helplessly shrugged, indicating it's fine. If Li Weiwei, a woman, had no problem, then he, a man, definitely wouldn't have any issues and actually looked pleased.
Zhang Danlin saw this and had no choice but to go about her own business, saying to Hao Jian, "You prepare here, I'll go to the restaurant over there. Once everything is ready, I'll let you know, then you can bring everyone over."
Hao Jian replied with an "okay," and Zhang Danlin left.
At this moment, everyone remained in their rooms, either unpacking or resting. Although the two-hour drive went pretty quickly with laughter and joy, they had gotten up early, sat in the car for two hours, and unpacked again, making most of them a bit tired. Once unpacked, they lay on the bed to rest, waiting to eat later before going to tour the Ancient Town in the afternoon.
Hao Jian carried his backpack and went upstairs. He didn't actually bring much; he could get any necessary items from Liang Xiaohan, so he only carried a change of clothes and some essentials. Still, he needed to put his things in the room; he couldn't carry them on his back constantly.
Room 402, this is the room he and Li Weiwei were staying in. Li Weiwei didn't lock the door after entering, knowing Hao Jian would come in afterward.
He was still somewhat surprised that Li Weiwei agreed to share a room with him, especially a single room. Perhaps she didn't mind because they had stayed together before.
Once inside the room, he had just put down his backpack on the bed when Li Weiwei said with discontent, "Wait a moment, pick up your bag. Don't put it on the bed; I sleep on it. If your stuff makes the bed dirty..."
Hao Jian looked helpless, thinking she annoyed him while he also found her annoying. Yet he picked up the bag and tossed it onto the table, asking, "Where do I sleep?"
Li Weiwei pointed to the couch and said, "Sleep on the couch or lay out on the floor; otherwise, where do you want to sleep?"
Hao Jian knew she would say this, indeed no sympathy at all. He promptly lay down on the couch, saying, "The most ruthless is a woman's heart, sleeping on the couch it is. Just be careful when you sleep; be aware of someone suddenly appearing beside you at night..."
"You dare!" Before he finished speaking, Li Weiwei fiercely looked at Hao Jian.
Seeing her expression, Hao Jian couldn't help but laugh. He didn't expect to scare her; she was actually afraid. Smiling lewdly, he said, "What? Afraid! Afraid, yet you let me stay in the same room. Isn't this inviting a wolf into your home? Sharing a room with me, I'm far from a gentleman. What if... what if..."
"Get out!" Li Weiwei directly retorted.
Then, she was placing her cosmetics in the bathroom, abruptly came out, grabbed Hao Jian, and pushed him out.
"Get out! Don't bother me while I'm organizing!" Li Weiwei said.
Thus, Hao Jian was pushed outside, "Bang!" The door was shut.
Hao Jian stood outside with a helpless expression. This woman certainly was, fine one moment, and the next flipped without recognition, so strong. He knocked on the door a few times but Li Weiwei didn't open it, effectively shooing him to the door. Judging by this, maybe he couldn't joke with her at night, or he might end up wandering the streets.
Just then, the door next to him opened suddenly, and Hao Jian saw a man and woman stepping out. As Hao Jian looked, both turned to look at him too.
This was the room that Zhang Danlin had reserved but was occupied by someone today; these two were the reason Hao Jian ended up squeezed into a room with Li Weiwei. Staring at them, Hao Jian looked a few more times, but the couple also looked at Hao Jian several more times.
They walked past Hao Jian, then headed downstairs. A man and woman, both quite good-looking, the man handsome, the woman pretty, but these weren't the reasons they attracted Hao Jian. His focus was on the bag the man carried, instinct told him they weren't simple; best to stay cautious around them in the hostel.
Since the door had already been shut by Li Weiwei, and he was kicked out, given Li Weiwei's tough nature, she certainly wouldn't open the door. Helplessly, he went downstairs, found a place to sit, and waited for news from Zhang Danlin, intending to gather everyone to go to the restaurant for a meal.
After sitting for about four or five minutes, Zhang Danlin's message came through, saying that everything was ready on their end and to bring everyone over.
Hao Jian sent a message in the class group chat and went to knock on each room door, gathering everyone together. Shortly after, the group set off from the inn and headed to the restaurant. Although Hao Jian hadn't been there before, Zhang Danlin had given him the address, so he found it quickly using the navigation.
"Over here," Zhang Danlin waved and called out.
Hao Jian led the group over, and they entered the restaurant. It had been a while since breakfast, and it was also mealtime, so everyone was hungry. There were a total of fifty-two people, including Li Weiwei, who sat down according to their respective small circles.
The group quickly took their seats. Zhang Danlin had long summarized everyone's preferences in the class to order the dishes. Seeing everyone was seated, she started serving the dishes slowly.
As expected, Hao Jian, Liang Xiaohan, Zhang Danlin, Hu Lai, Fatty, He Qiqi, Zheng Jun, and Li Weiwei sat at one table. The dishes were served quickly, and there was no gap in relationships among everyone; they all picked up their chopsticks and started eating.
Hao Jian only had a bottle of milk and a piece of bread from Liang Xiaohan in the morning and was already hungry, so he began to eat heartily. I must say, Zhang Danlin did well in choosing this restaurant. Generally, food at tourist spots is not very good, but this one was surprisingly tasty.
Everyone ate happily, and soon, their first lunch at the ancient town was finished. After they were full, it was time for sightseeing.
After leaving the restaurant, since Li Weiwei is the class teacher, even though Hao Jian and Zhang Danlin had been organizing so far, she had to say a few words as the class teacher. For example, now, she gathered everyone outside the restaurant and took on the teacher's posture, saying: "Listen up, everyone. From now until 5 PM is free time, which gives you four to five hours, plenty to go around the ancient town. The town is not big, and it seems there aren't many tourists today, but I still hope everyone stays safe. The scenery is good, but let's avoid any accidents; that wouldn't be good."
After pausing for a second, she continued, "So, I hope during these four or five hours of free exploring, you all stay alert, go in pairs, and remember, don't be alone. It's not safe alone; if anything happens, there's no one to look after you."
"At 5 o'clock sharp, we'll meet back at the inn. You all know where the inn is, right? If you can't remember, just remember the inn's name, and also come ask Zhang Danlin or Hao Jian, and make sure to jot down the phone numbers of the two people in charge and mine. In case of any emergency, notify us immediately," said Hao Jian.
"Alright, go have fun, enjoy yourselves. School life is stressful enough; we should be happy when we're out. After regrouping at 5 PM, we'll prepare for the evening barbecue!" Li Weiwei said.
The mention of the evening barbecue brought another wave of excitement, and then Zhang Danlin said a few more words, and everyone dispersed to enjoy themselves in their own activities.
Quickly, the group in front of the restaurant scattered, leaving just Hao Jian, Liang Xiaohan, Li Weiwei, and a few others.
At this moment, Liang Xiaohan walked over, took Hao Jian's hand, and said, "Come, let's go take some photos!"
Hao Jian took the camera handed to him by Liang Xiaohan and said, "Alright."
Immediately, Hao Jian was pulled away by Liang Xiaohan.
Li Weiwei was originally standing there, but Hu Lai and Fatty suddenly went over to pull her along, saying they wanted to enjoy the ancient town with the class teacher. Li Weiwei found it hard to resist their enthusiasm, so although she had planned to explore alone, she ended up joining Hu Lai and Fatty's group.
This was also good, as it fostered more interaction between teachers and students, making it easier to manage the class.
Zhang Danlin and He Qiqi stood aside, and although Hu Lai invited them to join, Zhang Danlin shook her head, saying she wanted to spend time alone with He Qiqi. No one insisted, and they just moved on.
Afterwards, Zhang Danlin and He Qiqi left too.
Hao Jian was dragged by Liang Xiaohan to...
