Supreme Warrior in the City
Chapter 2869 - 2869: The World Inside the Light Cocoon
When Su Yang watched from outside, this giant seemed to be right in front of his eyes.
But only after he entered this Light Cocoon did he realize how vast it truly was, and how far away he actually was from the giant.
Within the Light Cocoon, Su Yang couldn't even distinguish directions, much less know where to go to find that giant.
Su Yang didn't dare to fly around at random; he had no idea how big the space inside was. If he flew blindly, he might get farther and farther from the giant, and then he really wouldn't make it in time to save him.
He closed his eyes and carefully felt out the environment around him.
The space inside had been brute-force stretched open by that giant. Different locations carried different auras.
Su Yang only needed to feel the shifts in these auras to determine the giant's position, and his own position was the core of this entire inner space.
After a while, Su Yang finally sorted out the directions. He lifted his head for a glance, then shot forward, flying straight toward where the giant was.
After nearly three years of travel, Su Yang finally reached the place where the giant lay.
The giant lay on the ground, eyes already closed. From the look of it, he was probably not far from death.
The Long Axe was floating beside him. After the giant cleaved everything open, that Long Axe had remained here.
Su Yang rushed over, calling out twice, trying to wake the giant. But the giant lay motionless, without the slightest response.
Helpless, Su Yang could only force Spiritual Energy of the Earth Principle into the giant's body.
Spiritual Energy surged forth, endlessly pouring into the giant. But very soon Su Yang realized that what he was doing was completely futile.
Once the Spiritual Energy entered the giant's body, it quickly flowed out from the other side, scattering into the air. The giant himself showed no change at all; this Spiritual Energy simply could not save him.
Su Yang was even more shocked. The giant was only exhausted, not grievously wounded—how could he be unable to absorb even Spiritual Energy?
But the situation before his eyes left no room for doubt. The giant lay there, and no matter how much Spiritual Energy Su Yang forced into him, it was completely useless.
In the end, Su Yang could only watch as the giant's breathing came to a halt.
At that moment, the giant's body also began to change.
Unlike the legends on Earth, the giant's body did not turn into sun, moon, mountains, rivers, lakes, or seas. Instead, his body slowly became illusory, as if about to vanish.
Su Yang stared in astonishment. He could feel that although the giant's body was disappearing, the giant's power was not.
On the contrary, this power was continually returning to its source, turning into streams of Spiritual Energy that slowly condensed in midair.
At last, the giant's body vanished completely. And in the sky, a dense cluster of Spiritual Energy appeared.
This Spiritual Energy was far stronger than any Su Yang had seen before; it was not inferior even to the Spiritual Energy of the Earth Principle that resided in him.
Of course, this Spiritual Energy was still different from the Earth Principle.
The Earth Principle generates Spiritual Energy; the Spiritual Energy within it is endless.
This cluster of Spiritual Energy, however, was a fixed mass, incapable of regeneration.
Once this cluster formed, it rapidly dispersed, scattering to every corner of this world, instantly filling the world with Spiritual Energy.
Su Yang watched as all this came to an end, his heart full of awe.
Though the giant's final transformation differed from Earth's legends, this dispersal of Spiritual Energy in all directions had in fact already taken the place of sun, moon, mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas.
All of this was the foundation for nurturing life!
Only, would this world actually give birth to new life?
Su Yang pondered for a moment, and was just about to leave when, within this world, a powerful new aura suddenly appeared.
Su Yang's heart jolted, and he immediately flew along the direction of that aura.
In the end, Su Yang arrived at a patch of void in Outer Heaven.
In that void, a ray of light was slowly shining; the aura came from within it.
Su Yang could feel that the aura of this light was very powerful, but he had no idea where the light's power came from.
The Spiritual Energy Su Yang had infused earlier had mostly been absorbed by that giant. How could such a light appear in this place? Where was the Spiritual Energy feeding this light coming from?
With these doubts in mind, Su Yang simply decided not to leave. He sat there, staring at the glowing mass, wanting to see what it would eventually become.
The light kept growing, somewhat similar to the previous Light Cocoon. As it expanded, the aura of power within it grew stronger and stronger.
However, this light was not absorbing Spiritual Energy from the surroundings, which made Su Yang even more puzzled.
If it wasn't absorbing Spiritual Energy, how could it grow stronger and stronger?
Without Spiritual Energy, there can be no increase in power—that much was beyond question. Power is the result of Spiritual Energy condensing and transforming; without Spiritual Energy, there is no root, so how could power possibly grow?
So this light had to be absorbing Spiritual Energy. Yet Su Yang, standing right beside it, could not sense from where it was drawing Spiritual Energy, nor what kind of Spiritual Energy it was absorbing. That was truly shocking.
Carrying the Earth Principle, Su Yang could clearly sense that no Spiritual Energy of the Earth Principle was flowing here.
In other words, the Spiritual Energy the light was absorbing should not be coming from the Earth Principle.
In this universe, only the Heavenly Dao and the Earth Principle can give birth to Spiritual Energy.
If the Spiritual Energy the light was absorbing was not from the Earth Principle, then it could only be from the Heavenly Dao!
At that thought, Su Yang couldn't help but be alarmed. Could it be that this light was absorbing Spiritual Energy of the Heavenly Dao, and that the being gestating within it was a powerhouse of the Heavenly Dao—a member of the Guardian God lineage?
Su Yang's expression changed. If that was true, then whoever emerged from this light would definitely be their enemy in the future.
Su Yang did not know what level of strength that person would have, but since this light could avoid his senses while absorbing Spiritual Energy, and he didn't notice a thing, it showed just how terrifying the strength of the being inside might be.
Under such circumstances, once that person grew up, who knew what kind of powerhouse he would become? The Guardian Gods would gain another terrifying expert!
Su Yang frowned tightly, standing to the side as he watched the glowing mass. In his heart he kept weighing whether he should strike now and destroy this light. Otherwise, once the person inside matured, it would not be so easy to kill him!
Yet Su Yang remained hesitant. After all, everything was just his own speculation. If he was wrong and killed the wrong person, what then?
