Chapter 2392: You are brave. I give you that.

Chapter 2392: You are brave. I give you that.

"I am not shy, Nux Leander.

I am scared."

The Seer answered, looking at the women’s, especially Amaya’s, distorted face and how could she not be?

Amaya was looking at her like she was seeing her worst enemy, an enemy who had taken everything from her, an enemy she swore to destroy, to tear, piece by piece, no matter how long it took.

"You..."

The Devourer spoke, in a hoarse, dangerous voice.

"You dare come here..."

She spoke, but just as her energy was about to explode and surround the Seer.

"Amaya Leander."

The Seer spoke up.

"I cannot enter this Universe any time I desire. Your Universe is different than others—"

She then looked at Shadow and—

"You should know that more than I do, no?"

"..."

Shadow didn’t say anything.

Her silence, however, was all the answer one needed. The Seer looked back at Amaya, who was still glaring at her, then she pointed at Nux.

"He brought me here."

Amaya looked at Nux.

And Nux... when he tried to say something—

"Don’t look at him."

The Seer spoke again, regaining Amaya’s attention.

"That was our deal.

I give him three Gifts in return for a favour.

Now, I am calling in that favour."

"Heh... Gifts..."

Vyriana snorted at those words.

"You dare call those Gifts...?

First, you make Lord Azriel a Universe’s Child, forcing him to start from the beginning, essentially removing our strongest ally.

Your second gift was that Sword that helped the Four Infinities invade our Universe, forcing Nux to face Five Infinities alone.

And your third gift was Zylarith’s whereabouts, directly pushing Nux to go challenge him in a battle.

Not a single one of these were Gifts—

They were tools.

Tools you prepared to ultimately complete your own vicious plans."

The Dragon snorted, not buying her bullshit for another second.

The rest of the women were no different, their anger and distrust were glaringly obvious, the Seer, however, remained calm even in front of those intense gazes.

"I helped Lord Azriel become a Universe’s Child to protect Yrniel from danger, with the Universe’s Shields, the Infinities could never target Yrniel."

She answered.

"Do not forget, there was a time when you and Nux went head to head against Zylarith because he attacked your mercenary party.

If he had done that with Yrniel present, Zylarith would have moved the Infinities’ attention to Yrniel and Azriel, ending them both at the same time."

The Seer then looked at Nux.

"You have seen his memories, have you not? You should know that."

The wives turned towards Nux and he...

"It was one of his plans."

Nux nodded.

As someone who had read his memories, he knew everything Zylarith knew and planned to do.

The Seer looked back at Vyriana, then at Aeliana—

"As strong as he was, his connection to Yrniel weakened him, it was his weakness.

If I hadn’t done what I did, your Father would have lost his life."

Then, she glanced at Felberta—

"So would have your son."

At Aisha—

"You, your sisters."

At Melia and Rune—

"Your family."

At Eisheth and Lyriana—

"Your daughters."

She looked at every person present and—

"With Yrniel gone, every single one of you would have lost many people you cherished, even some of you would have died as well."

Then, the Seer looked at Vyriana and—

"So no, my actions did not weaken your strongest ally, my actions protected him and the world you cherish the most in all of the Universe."

She clarified herself.

"..."

Vyriana turned silent, not knowing what she was supposed to say. Many other women were silent too, when they thought about the people they had left in Yrniel, they didn’t feel like they were in a position to say something.

Amaya, however, was different. She looked at the woman in front of her and questioned directly.

"Then what about your Sword?

Why did it open a portal and lead the Infinities inside our Universe? Or are you going to deny that as well?"

"I did what I had to do."

The Seer answered but Amaya wasn’t having it.

"Oh? You did what you had to do, is it?

You had to lead Nux to Zylarith, you had to lead the other Four Infinities to invade his Universe, you had to force him into a battle against the Five Infinities—

Then, even against all odds, when he was winning—

You had to appear and make sure Nux was erased.

Is that what you are trying to say?"

She questioned in a sarcastic, enraged tone, and the Seer—

"Yes."

She nodded.

"That is what I am trying to say."

BOOOOOOM

And the instant she said those words, Amaya’s face turned frosty as her Aura burst out.

"You are brave.

I give you that."

She spoke in a heavy, demonic voice.

But the Seer—

"I have said this before, I will say it again, Amaya Leander.

You understand the existence named Nux Leander the most out of every single being present in this room.

Do you agree with this statement?"

She asked a simple question.

Amaya narrowed her eyes at those words.

Was this... an attempt to drive a wedge between the women here?

If that was truly the case, it was quite pathetic. After all, she knew that they may fight like cats and mice when they were alone, in front of a common enemy, they would never turn against each other.

And Amaya was right.

No woman reacted to the Seer’s words.

The Seer, however, did not care.

She just looked at Amaya, waiting for an answer.

"You didn’t answer my question."

She reminded gently.

"What does that have to do with any of it?"

Amaya questioned back.

"Please, I would like an answer."

The Seer requested politely, Amaya narrowed her eyes and the Seer—

"The man you trust the most in your entire life brought me here, that should at least make me a little endurable, no?

Please, humour me."

She requested again and this time—

Amaya agreed.

"I know him well."

She nodded as she momentarily looked at Nux, then back at her.

"What do you think would have happened if Nux saw his children dying and the reason they were dying was because he was too weak to protect them?"

The Seer questioned.
