SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 409 I Won't Back Down Until I get What I Want!

Meanwhile on the battlefield, Kent’s frustration boiled over. He had fought with everything he had, dominated the battlefield, yet the divine recognition he had yearned for was not given. Anger and bitterness welled up inside him, threatening to consume him.

“Why?” Kent snarled under his breath, his fists clenching. “I was the one who won this battle. Why do the gods still deny me?”

His anger was palpable, the energy crackling around him like a storm on the brink of breaking. Just then, a soft, sultry voice whispered in his mind, a presence he had almost forgotten.

“Patience, Kent…” the Lust Goddess’s spirit whispered within his soul space. “The War God has not yet descended. Show him your power, your dominance. Make him see that you are the true warrior worthy of his legacy.”

Kent’s eyes narrowed, the frustration in his heart beginning to shift into something more focused, more determined. He could feel the truth in her words. He had come too far, fought too hard to let this moment slip away. If the War God needed a display of power, then he would deliver one that could not be ignored.

With a renewed sense of purpose, Kent turned his gaze back to the War God statue, still glowing with the essence of the lesser gods. He felt the sacred energy in the air, the anticipation building among the onlookers. This was his moment, his chance to prove himself once and for all.

Kent closed his eyes, his breath heavy with resolve. He clenched his fists, feeling the raw power coursing through his veins as his beast form faded, leaving behind his human form.

Determination blazed in his eyes as he decided to use all his means, no matter the consequences. Responding to his thoughts, the Storm God Throne appeared beside him. Without hesitation, Kent ascended the throne, his presence commanding, as he prepared to defy the very laws of the blessed land.

“Rise!” Kent’s voice echoed with authority, the word itself seeming to ripple through the air.

The throne obeyed, lifting him high into the sky. The winds howled in protest as the Storm God Throne carried Kent towards the War God statue. It was forbidden to fly in the blessed land, even with sacred treasures, but Kent ignored the ancient taboo.

He was beyond caring about the rules. His only focus was on the statue, on the gods who had refused to grant him their legacy.

As Kent drew closer to the War God’s face, the essence of the gods continued to pour over the statue like a river of rainbow light. The god races below, once filled with reverence, now stared up at Kent with growing anger and disbelief.

“Is he mad?!” one of the onlookers hissed.

“He’s defying the gods! How dare he?” another whispered, fear lacing their voice.

“What is he doing?!” a third exclaimed, the confusion in their tone clear.

Jason and Ryon Lionheart, seated side by side, watched the scene unfold with a smile and expectation of Kent’s demise. Jason took a long gulp of wine, his eyes narrowing as he observed Kent’s reckless actions.

“This Sword Magus disciple is doomed. He’s sealed his fate by flying in the blessed land.” Jason muttered, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.

Ryon nodded, though his gaze remained fixed on Kent. “He’s courting death,” Ryon added.

Kent, however, paid no mind to the growing murmurs or the hostility in the air. His focus was solely on the task at hand.

He reached into his spirit ring and pulled out the sacred trunk leaf given to him by the Supreme Sword Magus. With deliberate care, he poured the water from all sacred seas over the War God Statue.

But as the water flowed down, it seemed to have no effect. The god races began to snicker, mocking him openly.

“Idiot.”

“Fool.”

“What does he think he’s doing?”

Kent remained unfazed, his eyes never leaving the statue. He then took out the sacred conch, also given by the Sword Magus, and brought it to his lips. Taking a deep breath, he blew into the conch with all his might.

The first blow echoed across the blessed land, but there was no response.

The second blow followed, reverberating through the skies, but still, the gods remained silent.

The third blow was the loudest, a sound that shook the very ground beneath them. But once again, nothing happened.

Frustration and desperation burned within Kent. He glared at the War God statue, his voice trembling with anger and determination.

“If victory over this battlefield is not enough, if the sacred seas’ water is not enough, if this sacred conch sound is not enough, what more do you want? Is it more blood? Is it more life? Is it myself? I won’t back down until I get what I want!”

The rainbow glow from the statue only intensified, as if mocking him. Kent’s rage boiled over. He raised his arms to the sky, and with a thunderous voice, he called out.

“Mega Vayu Vajra Akasha Maha Chakra Kshetra!” [Wrath of Storm God]

The sky above the blessed land rumbled in response, dark clouds gathering as lightning cracked through the heavens. The golden sky turned black, and a fierce storm began to brew. Lightning, rain, and wind swirled chaotically around the War God statue, which stood at the center of this wrath. But even this wasn’t enough for Kent.

Pointing his nail against his chest, he began to draw a long streak of blood, the red line tracing down his skin. The blood dripped from his chest, staining the Storm God Throne beneath him.

“No… no… my lord… is he performing the forbidden Storm God’s Wrath?” The God of Music uttered, his voice trembling with disbelief.

Kent’s voice became a low, fierce chant as he began the incantation for the forbidden spell.

“Nishidha Kala Chakra Maha Nasha Aham Paritya Baliya Megha Vayu Vinashana!” [Forbidden Night Wheel Great Tribulation Self-Sacrifice Storm Disruption]

“BOOM”

A red, thick bolt of lightning struck Kent, tearing through his skin. His blood was drawn into the lightning, consumed by the storm above.

The sky turned blood-red, and the clouds began to swirl in a massive vortex with Kent at the center. The entire battlefield trembled under the sheer force of his power.

Kent, his body wracked with pain, looked up at the War God statue, a helpless smile playing on his lips.

“I hope my storm will satisfy you, War God!” he shouted, his voice filled with both defiance and desperation.

He extended his hands out wide, embracing the chaos he had unleashed, his eyes never leaving the glowing statue that stood indifferent to his pleas.

“BOOM” “BOOM” “BOOM”

Thick red bolts of lightning began hitting Kent and the War god statue. As Kent is not defending, soon his entire being is covered in blood. A smile played on his lips as he stared at the war god statue which made a loud thumping sound when the lightning hit it.

Just then, the sky began turning bright white almost blinding the eyes of everyone standing on ground. All the magic and aura around blessed land died down. The Aurora glasses stopped displaying the scenes at blessed land as the magic suspended.
