Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

“So…” Selena’s expression was grim as she was staring at both Nathan and Mae. Even the others didn’t expect that they looked away for a moment and Nathan had returned with another woman.

More importantly, this woman had the features of a beast. Although this was normal for a person, wasn’t Nathan supposed to summon only a beast instead of a demihuman?

They couldn’t help but wonder if the absolute ice element ended up making him this way.

Nathan, on the other hand, remained calm in the face of Selena’s interrogation. He extended his hand and introduced Mae. “This is Tamamo no Mae, my sixth familiar. She is a celestial fox. I call her Mae.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Mae politely bowed. “I’m Master’s sixth familiar.”

“But Nathan… Aren’t you only capable of summoning a beast? Does this mean you can summon a humanoid familiar now?” Sera couldn’t contain her curiosity.

“Please don’t worry about it, Lady Sera.” Mae enveloped her body with the golden light once again and turned back into her original fox. “I’m a shapeshifter.”

“Oh?!” Sera nodded in understanding. “I forgot about this ability.”

“Fair enough.” Flora sighed. There was simply no stopping it. “Well, if you’re going to travel by yourself, it’s good to have her accompany you. At least no other girls will approach you that way.”

It looked like Selena was interrogating him for getting another woman, but Selena was actually worrying about another thing.

She pinched the bridge of her nose before asking, “Say… did you summon her because your lower body did the thinking?”

Nathan smiled. He knew Selena was just worried about him. “Of course not. She will be a good addition to the team as an all-rounder. Her existence will stabilize my fighting style.”

Alavenya suddenly slammed the table with her hands, startling even Selena and Nathan. Alavenya pumped her fist and declared, “I’m going to summon my next familiar as well. Nathan. Can you tell me about a certain monkey you once mentioned?”

“Sun Wukong?” Mae raised her head.

“Do you know about him?” Alavenya looked surprised. Even if Nathan got the information from his beasts, Mae had just been summoned. So, the fact she knew about him meant there were at least two people who knew about him, ultimately confirming his existence.

Mae nodded. “Yes. I have heard his legend. A demon who wanted his freedom and ended up fighting against the celestial army. Summoning him will definitely be a huge boost to your power, but he’s like a wild card. He doesn’t wish to be controlled, so I don’t know if I can recommend him or not.”

Nathan looked away. He once tried to summon him as well, which resulted in summoning Anubis.

At first, he thought it was because of Sun Wukong’s desire for freedom, but it turned out to be because of his summoning nature.

On the other hand, it was true that if Alavenya summoned him, she might not be able to control him.

Alavenya looked down. “That’s…”

“Instead of focusing on strength, how about thinking from your group’s perspective?”

“…” Alavenya fell silent. She had the lamia as the main fighter, while the cat girl could use her speed to support anyone who needed it. On the other hand, the beetle queen’s power was useful to defend, but the dark butterfly’s power was not enough to provide the firepower that Alavenya needed.

In other words, what she needed was someone who could provide that additional firepower. The problem was, did she want the next familiar to stay in the rear or fight the enemy like a warrior?

Nathan, on the other hand, took out several space bracelets from his bag. “Anyway, this is for you guys.”

“Space Bracelet? It’s done?” Only Flora recognized it, since she was the only one among them who had seen it.

“Space Bracelet? What’s that?” Sera tilted her head in confusion.

Flora glanced at Nathan first. Once the latter gave his nod, Flora grabbed one of them and activated the space bracelet. “Look at this.”

She showed the space bracelet’s power by storing her own seat.

“Eh? It disappears?” Sera blinked a few times and rubbed her eyes. Flora didn’t have this kind of power.

“Space element?” Selena squinted her eyes.

“Yes. It’s an artifact for storage. It can store and take out items for our convenience. This will be useful for our journey.” Flora nodded. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to hide it, but Nathan asked me to wait until he made enough space bracelets for everyone. Of course, don’t give it to others or even tell them about it. It will cause a lot of problems.”

“…” Sera smiled wryly. “Can we store everything?”

Nathan nodded. “As long as it’s considered an object, then yes. If it’s a living being, it will die inside. So, don’t put a human there. Besides, be careful with the smell as well. Having several boxes that can contain the smell will be nice if you plan to put something there.

“For the time being, I have no solution to solve the smell problem. However, we can use the space bracelets on our journey for bringing our tent, daily necessities, or even personal stuff, such as weapons.

“And as Flora said, please don’t tell anyone about it. At the very least, not now,” explained Nathan calmly.

They had mixed feelings. On the one hand, they were shocked by Nathan being able to create such a thing. On the other hand, they wondered if it was alright for them to get it. It would be hard to hide it completely, but as long as they didn’t use it in front of other people, it should be fine for a while.

Selena let out a long sigh. “I know you’re doing something, so this is what you’re up to.”

“Yeah. With this, the only thing we need to prepare is ourselves.” Nathan smiled.
