Chapter 785 - 785: Returning with the Ship
A few minutes ago.
Everyone’s face turned pale when they saw a massive whale falling on top of them.
Even his divine beasts panicked, as they couldn’t handle this size for the time being.
Nathan hurriedly recalled his fifth familiar, even though he just summoned it.
When they saw the whale vanish, the color returned to their faces.
“What is that?”
“That’s a familiar?”
“How big was that whale? Even the biggest giant is not supposed to be that big.”
The people were baffled, never seeing something that big.
Nathan, on the other hand, looked happy, not because the summoning was successful but because of what he saw from the whale. It was the source of his shock.
Name: Kun (Peng)
Level: 289
Race: Divine Whale (Divine Bird)
Quality: Excellent (Low)
The moment he saw this information, he couldn’t help but feel thrilled. As expected, he managed to summon both Kun and Peng. To be more accurate, both entities actually had a single body.
Still, he almost lost his life because he was too shocked by this information. He hurriedly leaped onto Nidhogg’s back. “Let’s fly!”
Nidhogg nodded and took off without hesitation, knowing Nathan wanted to summon the whale again.
“Come forth, Kun!”
The moment Kun was summoned, a gentle breeze lifted up his body and kept it floating in the air.
“You can fly?” Nathan asked.
“My apologies, Summoner. I never expected I would be summoned to another world like this,” said Kun, but to his surprise, the words were spoken directly in his head.
“Huh?” Nathan looked dumbfounded for a moment before realizing what it was. “Telepathy?”
“Yes. Right now, only you are able to listen to me. It will be much better if you channel your ena into your mind and speak inwardly. Right now, I have a hard time hearing your voice because it’s too low for me.”
Nathan frowned. Then again, Kun was a massive whale, so its anatomy might be different. He channeled his ena into his brain, noticing there was a weird sensation sticking on top of his head like an antenna.
It seemed Kun used it to talk to him. He focused his ena there and said inwardly, “Like this? Can you hear me?”
“Loud and clear.”
“I see.” Nathan frowned. Although he was curious about Kun Peng, he shouldn’t forget why he called him here in the first place. “Unfortunately, we can talk about everything on the way. I need your help right now, Kun.”
“Of course, Summoner. Please rely on me. What do you want?”
“Can you lift up those summoners on top of your back? There is one more person who we need to save. With our strength, it’s useless to do it. However, your body is big enough that even if you can’t damage that alien, you can still knock it away. It’s going to be dangerous, especially since I don’t know how your power works.”
“It’s easy.” Kun released his ena, creating a gentle breeze that enveloped the summoners.
“What is this?” The people were confused, but they couldn’t help but see the whale swimming in the air.
Nathan even shouted, “Don’t fight it. This is my plan. We’ll be helping the duchess right now. My familiar will knock that alien while I need your help to blast away any other aliens. I’m sure that the duchess is getting surrounded right now.
“Hurry up. We don’t have a lot of time!”
The people exchanged looks before nodding to each other, knowing what they were supposed to do.
Once all of them reached the top of Kun, Kun immediately turned around and started flying.
That was what happened before they managed to save Lena.
Nathan let out a long sigh of relief. “At least we can retreat safely now. Are we still going to the city, Duchess Lena?”
Lena was shocked by the appearance of this whale, but she brushed the thought away for the time being. She nodded. “Yes. We’ll return to the city. My people should have been preparing for a big war, so if we lure this guy there, we should be able to defeat him somehow. I hope the reinforcement has arrived.”
Nathan nodded, saying to Kun, “We’ll go in that direction. There is a city over there, and I will tell you what to do depending on how the city responds to your size. Sorry about this, Kun.”
“Don’t worry about it. I understand.” Kun was more understanding. Then again, his legend described how big he was, so he might have gotten used to this kind of treatment.
“Still, Nathan. We need to pick up the ship. Where are they right now? With all the summoners here, I don’t think anyone is helping the ship to return to the city, right?”
“Ah. That…” Nathan sent another request. “By the way, Kun. Can you carry that ship?”
“It’s not a problem. Just brace for impact because it’s going to be a bit rough. I promise to do it as gently as possible, but I can’t guarantee it. That creature is chasing after us.”
“Got it. Do whatever you need to do.” Nathan nodded to Lena. “Yes. I have asked him to pick up the ship. Tell the people to brace for impact.”
“Thank you.” Lena finally let out a breath of relief.
As soon as the ship was in their sight, Lena hurriedly stood up and shouted at the top of her lungs. “Everyone! Hang on!”
Her voice was so loud that even the people on the ship could hear it.
Kun then dove into the water, creating a water bubble to protect the humans on its back.
“Kh!” The people had a hard time holding on after such a massive crash. It even produced a giant wave that could swallow the entire ship.
However, Kun’s speed was faster than the wave as it rose one more time, positioning the ship on its back.
Boom!
The water broke apart as the entire ship flew into the sky with Nidhogg holding on to it so that it didn’t slip.
