Chapter 1919: Going to the Elf Kingdom

Nathan was gathering his theories and tried a few things to see if his method could be used. However, before Luna and Iris finished creating the body, it was practically impossible to try it.

So, for the time being, Nathan asked Luna and Iris to work on it.

In the meantime, Nathan focused on investigating this world.

"This is the transmutation book as well as the permanent transmutation technique." Tesfelone gave him two books—one thick, one thing.

Nathan nodded, knowing that Tesfelone couldn’t cheat him. Of course, Nathan also handed over the Spirit Circle and the Divine Seal.

Thinking he was still owing Nathan, Tesfelone actually gave one more piece of information.

"If you want to get information from the elf goddess, there is actually a problem. Apparently, someone related to the elf goddess and the saintess is sick. If someone can solve that trouble, there will be no shortage of reward from the elf goddess.

"A lot of people are trying to transmute an elixir, but the elf goddess can do it herself. She hasn’t succeeded this whole time.

"If you can somehow solve that problem, you may actually be able to get all the information you want from her.

"However, if you can’t, please be careful. You need to watch your actions and pay attention to your words. She might be a little grumpy."

Nathan smiled. "Thank you. I don’t exactly know the problem, but I will see if I can do anything about it. Although I may not look like it, I do have a friend who is good at healing."

"Maybe a method from another world can handle the problem." Tesfelone nodded. "I wish you luck."

"You too. I hope that the next time we meet, there’s already a new human god... maybe you." Nathan smiled.

Tesfelone chuckled. "I’m flattered you think so highly of me. I’ll do my best."

Once Tesfelone left, Nathan turned to Machina. "Call everyone and tell them that I will be going with you. They can stay here to get whatever they need. Just trouble Mr. Golzok if they need anything. We’ll just reward him with something later."

Machina nodded. He thought for a moment, wondering whether he should summon Anubis first or not.

Considering the situation, summoning his familiars in front of the goddess would just prove that he came from a different world. At the same time, the elf goddess might know about his origin in one way or another.

In that case, he’d rather not hide it at all.

Nathan then nodded. "Anyway, let’s go."

Nathan used his teleportation to head to the elven territory. Unfortunately, unlike what he expected, the elven kingdom wasn’t located in the forest. They didn’t even have the World Tree.

Instead, their kingdom wasn’t anything unique. It was similar to a human kingdom.

The capital city where the saint was holding the competition was located in the middle of a massive plain. The grass around wasn’t exactly tall, not because it was trimmed regularly but because it didn’t have enough nutrients to grow further.

There didn’t seem to be anything special, other than the rice fields scattered all around the city like the fields outside Esteban Castle.

Nathan and Machina covered herself with a long coat, not showing anything special so that no one would bother them.

Even though this was a city of elves, there were a lot of other races coming here. However, he noticed there weren’t many humans in this place.

While walking down the street, Nathan was listening to the people’s conversation.

"I heard that the Transmutation King from Gorgicia is attempting to create an elixir this time."

"There were already four transmutation kings, but not a single one of them succeeded. In fact, two saints had already tried, but they couldn’t do anything. Would there be any difference this time?"

Nathan ended up visiting a stall, finding a middle-aged elf.

"Can I get these, please?" Nathan pointed at a few items.

"Of course." She immediately packed everything with a smile.

"These look really good." Nathan nodded, as though he was impressed.

"Hoho. My husband was the one creating it." She covered her mouth with her hand.

"Really? I—" Nathan abruptly stopped as though he was listening to the conversation not far from them. They were talking about the transmutation kings.

"Is something happening in this city?" Nathan looked confused.

"Oh, my. Did you not know?"

"I was in the middle of traveling, so I wasn’t exactly up to date with the news. I was supposed to travel further north, but my supplies ran out." Nathan chuckled.

"Apparently, the elf saintess’s brother is sick."

"Even the elf goddess can’t do anything about it?" Nathan looked surprised.

"People said the elf goddess has descended to research this sickness. It’s something that no one has ever seen before."

"I see. That’s rather troublesome. So, they’re looking for people who can help..."

"Yep. A busy time for all of us. Who could have thought that the king would be sick? The kingdom is in such a mess right now because of it."

"I hope that the king will get well soon." Nathan nodded.

"Of course, he has to recover. He has a kingdom to rule." She chuckled.

"Thank you." Nathan waved his hand.

"You’re welcome."

Nathan had gotten all the information he needed. The moment he stepped foot into this city, he knew that the saintess and even the elf goddess sitting in the castle at the bottom of the cliff had sensed him as well.

However, they didn’t seem to care as long as Nathan didn’t make any disturbance.

Now that he understood the situation, he walked toward the castle with Machina. He had Anubis with him, so this might be his chance.

The problem would be how he was going to enter the castle. After all, as soon as he arrived, he could see that the castle was surrounded by people. They weren’t allowed to go in.

Nathan crossed his arms. "I don’t really want to make trouble, but I guess I should announce my presence here."
