Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1742: Not Much Time Left

Chapter 1742: Not Much Time Left

Nathan’s expression turned solemn. The stakes were extremely high. He couldn’t afford to play around like this.

It looked like he had no choice but to change his plan this time.

Nathan asked, "Can I ask you one more question?"

"Very well."

"Do you know how long we have left before this world is destroyed?"

Cthulhu paused for a moment. "I don’t have much knowledge about the prophecy. However, I can tell you one thing. Right now, my power is influencing this world. It should be able to buy you one year. It might go as far as one and a half years, but won’t be more than that."

Nathan didn’t expect that the time was actually longer than he had expected. He originally thought he only had six to nine months left.

That was why after his honeymoon, he intended to go to the Asura Palace and tried to find the location of the portal. Then, he would spend the rest of his time training and forming the divine body.

Still, he didn’t intend to underestimate his opponent. Just because Cthulhu said he could spend at least a year didn’t mean he would use it as the base calculation.

He intended to go to another world fast if that were possible.

Nathan thought for a moment before nodding his head. "I understand. Thank you for answering my question."

"From this point onward, you won’t be able to contact me or rely on me anymore. Remember, prepare a contingency plan."

Nathan nodded. Cthulhu wanted him to prepare a place for the chosen one three hundred years later in case he failed.

He didn’t intend to fail, but it really couldn’t be helped. He knew Azathoth.

The moment Nathan fought Azathoth, Azathoth’s brand would stick on him. There was no way to get rid of it, which would result in his eternal defeat. That was why Nathan had to treat this fight as if it were his last.

Once he got confirmation from Nathan, Cthulhu gradually sank to the deep sea along with the city.

The pillar of light gradually disappeared, but the barrier still remained in the sky.

The color simply changed in a way that it couldn’t be seen.

Nathan closed his eyes for a moment. There were a lot of things he wanted to say, but he still needed to do the most important thing.

"Let’s go back so we can change our clothes." Nathan smiled.

He brought them back to the beach, where they put down the broken asteroids. They then took out the clothes in their space rings and changed their clothes.

Finally, Nathan gathered everyone to have their meeting.

’All right. It’s time for us to discuss this matter." Nathan scratched the back of his head. "I feel bad about this, but it looks like we have no choice but to stop this honeymoon here. Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of time left."

They all looked at each other, thinking about the same thing.

Selena smiled. "We know this is going to happen sooner or later. We know that we don’t have a lot of time, so there’s no point in crying about it."

"That’s right. Now, let’s talk about the future." Alavenya agreed.

"We can have another honeymoon after we defeat the black cell." Evelyn agreed, showing she had no intention of losing against the black cell.

Nathan took a deep breath before nodding. "All right. Once this is all over, I’m going to take you on an unforgettable honeymoon. Not just in this world, but around this universe."

They just smiled. After realizing that their world was so small, they understood that there were so many things they could experience.

That was why they would just wait until the time had come.

Nathan turned to Luna. "First of all, I’m going to ask you to process all these rocks, Luna. If you have any interest in it, get it for yourself. Otherwise, donate it to the Blacksmith Guild through Elder Thompson. He has worked with us for so long, so it’s natural for us to repay him."

"You’re not going to save any of them?"

"We can simply grab one once we form a divine body."

"That’s... true." Luna couldn’t deny his words. There were plenty of ’space rocks’ floating in outer space, if she believed in Nathan’s explanation. "Understood. I will process them and, if possible, create a weapon out of them. Hopefully, they can be used to create powerful weapons for humanity. We want this world to last for as long as possible."

"Yes. If possible, please design it in a way that you can upgrade it. Even if we can’t come back in the future, hopefully those weapons can be improved further by future generations."

Nathan might sound pessimistic, but this was actually much more realistic.

For someone who knew about Azathoth and Yog-Sothoth, he knew how low the chance of winning was.

"Understood."

Nathan then turned to Evelyn. "I need you to set up teleportation circles all around the world. Connect all the remaining three continents with each other."

"For what?" Evelyn frowned. "I mean, it’s bound to be connected, but why the rush?"

"It’s to strengthen humanity." Nathan turned to Flora. "Tell your father about this attack. All of it. He has the right to know, including about outer space. Inform him about the teleportation circle Evelyn is going to make as well as about the travel to another continent.

"This way, the embassy project can begin. There will be more people traveling from one continent to another. We won’t know what kind of people are going back and forth, but that’s the job for all the continents to work on."

"I understand. I guess Sera will go with me as well? She is the closest to the Pope after all." Flora pointed at Sera.

"If you need me, sure. I believe you can convince the Pope yourself." Sera nodded.

"It will be faster with you there. Besides, we have to discuss this with the Liaystian Kingdom and the Beast Kingdom as well."

"If that’s the case, how about setting an appointment with all the leaders?" Selena suggested. "I can go to the Liaystian Kingdom or the Beast Kingdom. Someone who is good at diplomacy... I guess Bella can do it too. Each of us will be talking to the four kingdoms’ representatives and hold a private meeting. It happened not long ago because of the magic guns, so I believe it can happen again with this."
