"We’re about to reach the fortress. ETA: 15 minutes. Hurry and evacuate the people." Nathan ordered through the communication rings.
Evelyn immediately headed to Regina and Ternius. "Both of you, we need to evacuate the people right now. We have fifteen minutes."
"Got it!" Regina and Ternius nodded. They started commanding the people. The soldiers formed a line so that the workers knew where they were supposed to go.
It took time to mobilize so many people, but with the efforts of many soldiers, they managed to bring the workers to the back of the fortress.
Evelyn clapped her hands as a huge magic circle formed. This magic circle turned into a whirlpool.
"Enter this portal. You will be sent directly to the second defense line." Evelyn shouted.
They had entered the portal to reach this place, so they knew what to do. With the help of the soldiers, the people entered the portal in an organized manner.
Fortunately, the enemy hadn’t come yet, so the people didn’t panic yet.
Several officers also followed them as they had to arrange their work in the second defense line.
While Evelyn was managing the portal, Regina and Ternius returned to the wall. They didn’t just build ditches for this battle. There were a few rough walls that would slow down their advance. Selena came to them with Bella as the translator.
